We have 2 guys in TMac and Coker and they’re both the same type of WR. Bigger possession type guy Bryce obviously deserves part of the blame but our problems on offense are much bigger than just him. Canales deserves a good chunk. Then we have personnel issues when trying to counter some of these defenses I really don’t know why people keep bringing up Cam as if that’s the bar for Bryce. They’re completely different QB’s and need different things to be successful. Every time we went to the playoffs we Cam we had a top 10 defense. Our last trip to the playoffs in 2017 our defensive EPA/play was 9th best that year. Our offense was 13th. Cam himself was 22nd in EPA+CPOE composite. Id love to know what our defensive epa/play was in 2013 and 2015. Those were our best defenses

We all watch Bryce. Sometimes stats produce bullshit and lie. It’s why no singular stat means anything what’s Dalton’s CPOE this season in his start what’s Bryce’s on the year
-
Cool, thanks, I had no idea this existed (I’m not being a smart ass) I gotta say, there are a lot of IFs when dealing with Bryce. So he has to have more weapons to beat specific teams now? At one point will it end? It’s interesting, when we had a true franchise guy, a true number one overall pick, that guy gave us a chance to win every week no matter the weapons and no matter who we played.

When someone chimes in about Ewers doing whatever to Tampa when I know they didn’t watch the game a stat like CPOE (again I prefer EPA + CPOE composite) is worth mentioning to help paint a better picture I mean where’s Ewers 63 yard TD pass… Not an overly difficult throw
-
Yeah it does. Just wish our offense would give us some kind of hope that they can make a playoff game close
-
It’s a miracle we have 8 wins.

CRA started following This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)
-
The only stats the Bryce defenders want to talk about share one common denominator…..they are heavily influenced by throws into tight coverage. And Bryce’s throws into coverage have discussed and why he makes those on repeat. there are billion ways to look at QB play. They virtually all tell a similar story about what Bryce is and it aligns with the visual….he isn’t a good QB. Cherry picking CPOE random ass week means nothing when we got 3 years of all sorts of metrics to judge him. you got it wrong on Bryce. Just move on. The defense is beyond sad. And now you lean on whatever it is you think you are doing the post above lol

Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws
pww42 replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
I come here and read rarely say much at all just enjoy reading. I have been around a here a while. I do remember the panther huddle, the crash, and a good QB and DEF.. (keep pounding is actually meant for us, we keep Advil in business) I got a lot of gray on top, I can say from ole man wisdom.. The inconsistency of our QB is gonna crash more than the site.. -
-9 lol

Just say you don’t understand advanced stats.

Completion percentage over expected an advanced stat that measures a quarterback's accuracy by comparing their actual completion rate to what a model predicts, considering factors like throw distance (air yards), location, defender separation, and pressure, helping to show if a QB completes difficult throws more (or fewer) than expected. It's a way to evaluate quarterbacks beyond raw completion percentage, as CPOE adjusts for the inherent difficulty of each pass. Young’s analytics took a hit after yesterdays dud. It’ll forever be tough to judge QB play based off of stats but some are definitely better than others and EPA + CPOE is probably the best one. But like I said yesterday, the Seahawks were an awful matchup for us and it’s not just Bryce. I said yesterday it wasn’t a good matchup for us and that’s why. We really need to go out and find a specific type of WR this offseason and a TE would be nice as well. If we play the Niners or Seahawks again if we make the playoffs the outcome is going to be the same. We simply do not have the personnel to beat those teams

Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws
Jackie Lee replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Totally clean pocket and he couldn't put a 15 yard pass in front of T-mac lol. Dudes sick and you got him reversing his route to try and save the pick. -
Shough should win it, he deserves it.

Who cares this team sucks
-
I'll probably be working, I'll be listening to the game on the radio. Maybe that's a good thing if it frees up my Sunday

Only to get severely embarrassed on national TV
-
What's Bryce's CPOE this week?
-
Beats discussing the draft in October
-
Really no different than PFF and their “big time throws” when it comes to Bryce the entire league has sat on our pass game since Bryce arrived. He throws the same BS routes on repeat. Which means the coverage and balls are tight on many non spectacular throws. Bryce can’t back a D off. He can’t stress them. That impacts coverage. Then the defenders deep dive into these very cherry picked stats…..and ignore the billion other metrics that say says he is bad. Because it’s not close when you look at the billion ways a QB can be broken down

Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws

One of many examples of why PFF is trash. The only reason Bryce might seem good at big time throws is he pretty much throws them when the WR has his man beat clean and the throw is basically a sure thing. He only attempts at most one or two big throws a game 90% of the time. -
Yea, eventually you’ll get a notification when you try that says “you cannot react to anymore posts today” or something like that. Guess the bakery runs out of pie.
-
What does this mean?
-
Yes that too, why not try deep down the field we were pretty much at the 50, most qbs could have hurled it towards the endzone.
