  1. Past hour
  2. He most definitely doesn't have a cannon. I'd say maybe slightly above average (and that might be a stretch). I do think he has good touch on his throws and did a pretty good job throwing with anticipation to a bunch of JAG receivers Baylor had. His mechanics probably need to be rebuilt - footwork is god awful on many of his throws. His peak is a reliable QB2, his floor is never being heard from again in a few years
  3. None of the scouting reports ive seen question his arm strength, in fact they all say hes got a cannon, now his mechanics and footwork? Awful.
  4. Hes projected 4-6 so completely possible.... wouldnt mind it anywhere 5th or later hes got physical talent and we could use a developmental QB
  5. Size, Good speed (enough to be a duel threat at 4.6) physical talent. I'd throw a 5th at him to develope.
  6. It means not reaching for a NEED, it doesnt mean you have to take the consensus bpa, you take the BPA that could upgrade your team even if its not a DIRE need.
  7. I agree but I could see it happening with how much money they have poured on the defensive side.
  8. I'd add that last season wasn't a realistic opportunity to have success passing due to the youth at WR and TE. The only high pedigree player in that group ended up being ROY. QB had to have something to do with that, right?
  9. Hopefully not at all. His wind up is crazy, he isn't particularly great in the pocket, and his arm strength is questionable at best. A guy I REALLY hope we are interested in is Cole Payton. He needs some work, but this kid has tools.
  10. How did you turn this into a Bryce Young slam post? This was meant to highlight our former GM's inadequacies at his position. This also highlights how Bryce barely had talent around him the first 2 seasons. We finally acquired average talent on the team and suddenly we're a playoff team. Coincidence?
  11. OT (injured, may never return to form which really wasn't that goog to begin with) QB (still figuring out if he's a franchise QB - though he finished the season well, last chance this season) QB (not even our pick)+WR (the worst 1st round WR in some time) WR (Hit) If they had hit on at least 2 of the 4 then they wouldn't need to draft another offensive player.
  12. Maybe day 1 better but Green has a lot more upside. I feel like the guys listed after Green have a low ceiling and are destined to be backups.
  13. The only way to guarantee we get him is to trade up to #1 overall.
  14. I don’t understand the infatuation with Green. Robertson is a much better QB
  15. Just start throwing the darts. We have two 5th round picks.
  16. Today
  17. I watched him play Auburn in week 1 and he looked like an NFL QB to me. His arm looked solid, maybe not the most mobile guy but still has some talent.
  18. GMs care though. One bad season and they can get fired. Drafting a player in the 1st that would only start due to injury is pretty rare. It make sense to us fans who have the luxury of thinking beyond this year.
  19. I guess there is some confusion here. Picking an OT in the first probably isn't happening unless there is someone that drops to our spot. We absolutely need to draft an OT in this draft for depth/future, but signing Walker gives us the luxury of taking one in the mid rounds who might not be ready to start right away. I also wouldn't be surprised if we sign BC for a reasonable contract for depth once we clear up some space. There seems to be mutual interest there. Leashes are just too short in the NFL for a GM to draft a player that wouldn't be an immediate impact player in the 1st round unless there is huge value. We also need a C in this draft to learn behind our one year rental as well. Again I don't see this happening in the 1st, but mid to late could work there. Ideally we draft a C and future RT to take over for Moton after this year for our OL. Then we can decided between Walker/Icky (depending on recovery) for future LT.
  20. If Robinson can learn to read defenses, he could be good for a short passing offense (wouldn't mind drafting him in the 6th or 7th). His deep ball is bad though and he floats it way too much
  21. If we could without breaking the bank in picks I would love to. He's been in Peyton's dog house for whatever reason. He's not a bad receiver from what I've seen in game, he just doesn't make the field a lot on game day.
  22. Sounds like an inconsistent deep ball and turn over prone. I would rather roll the dice Drew Allar or Taylen Green for the better upside. None of these three would challenge Bryce in year one.
  23. Go for it. In the big scheme of things we could survive missing a single pick even at 19. 4th or 5th round?
