Three seasons of builsh%t QB play is enough. No excuses anymore.
-
Having a weirdly phenomenal player at QB IS a culture changer.
-
The only option you have is to get a guy from the group that is available. As you are well aware that if you do not have a competent qb you have no shot at competing. If you are constantly picking in the top 10 you need a qb plain and simple. Like it or not we will be in the mark for a rookie and a veteran this offseason. Let's hope at least one of them is worth the roster spot.

We don't need a unicorn. Whilst you'd love to run in to a Brees, a Brady, a Peyton Manning - you don't need that. Eli Manning was perfectly fine. Allen is perfectly fine (he's absolutely not a culture changer, he's just a weirdly phenomenal player). We simply need a QB that gives us a shot each and every week - one that makes the D have to defend the whole field and hits that walk in TD to Renfrow / T-Mac that Young has repeatedly missed this season with his inability to throw the ball deep.
-
XL has had a rough go of it to start the season, but he was open a lot last year and looked better once Andy started at QB. It takes three years for WRs to really break out normally, but everyone is used to Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson types now. Look how good Chase looked last night. Also, go Jimmy this is the chance everybody has clamored for him to get.

The harshest path is: Fire all coaching staff, hope to hire competent HC -- will John Haurbaugh be available? Keep Dan Morgan? I've liked him, been an upgrade on Fitterer even though he's made mistakes Trade back in the draft unless there's a can't miss prospect available, draft as well as you can and do not give up any draft picks Draft a QB in round 2/3 and sign a QB with NFL starting experience Apologize to the fans for trotting out Nick Scott and Rozebum this season, promise it will never happen again Get rid of Bryce Young, doesn't matter how you do it, but just turn the page there for everyone's sake That's really it, the only way out is through! Really comes down to drafting and not getting impatient which might be hard for Tepper. There's talent here, it's just being dragged down by some of the worst football players I've ever seen don a Panthers uniform, and that's mostly Teppers fault because he thought he was smarter than everyone else when he bought the team. -

Bring in Trey Lance, try to get Shedeur Sanders. Draft a QB late in the draft. Trade back and accumulate all the draft capital possible. We need another receiver, PASS RUSH!!!!!, and LB HELP!!!! I don't suggest drafting a QB in the 1st rd until we have a TEAM capable of winning around him. And get a kicker who we can send out to try a 55+ yd FG. -
You can't just settle for a JAG. Pick up a JAG in FA if that's what you plan to do. That first round pick is so valuable - as we've seen by giving up 3 of them for Bryce Young - if you don't think the QB there at your pick is the guy (he doesn't have to be 'the franchise', he just has to give you a chance to win each and every week) then pick the best player at a position of need. There's no shame in running a Geno Smith out there rather than Drafting a Bo Nix.

Realistically? We might beat the Jets and split with the Saints. I would not expect anything more than that.
-
The Panthers announce that they're taking up the fifth year option on Bryce Young to much fanfare. "Mr Morgan, it's T-Mac's agent on line one".
-
I like what Schlereth said about evaluating anything because everything is so bad. I am even disheartened about starting over at QB due to all the other needs. Someone was talking about stripping it down to the studs recently and I'm like we're beneath the floorboards currently.
-
A look into what it's like to build around a QB who isn't good enough to make a serious SB run in the modern NFL. But those token playoff appearances tho...
-
Miami, Jets, Saints x 2 = 5 wins which is about right.

is it too late for a mea culpa and finish building the training facility in SC because it's the right thing to do? -
We should trade down and get more trade assets. This team has alot of holes to fix

Something we shouldn't wish for like a plane crash or a completely unlikely desire to sell a profit machine not being on the table makes it all fantasy but OK. Clean house. Hire a front office old hand through a consultant without input from the Teppers. Have new hire lead the new GM and HC search without the Teppers being in the process. The only person to have meetings with the Teppers are the new president or whatever they call him. Hit 7 wins the first year by just getting out of their own way. Continue pretending it's a football team and not a toy for clueless billionaires. -
They will get another win at our expense. Our only shot at wins are quickly running out. Its Miami and the Jets or nobody from here on out.

I've always been saying this team has to draft their way out of the nfl basement. But they suck at drafting so here we are and here we will stay until that improves. -

There's been more Heisman winners fail in the league than I can count. Its not a way to pick a sure thing in the nfl. -

Safe to say we are pretty stuck. So figured it would be interesting to see how people would suggest we navigate our way out of these waters. Bullet points, longer spiels, memes, let’s see it all. Anything is acceptable. Benchings, Firings, Releases, Draft Ideas, potential HCs, just curious to see where people are leaning at this stage for reshaping the next season or so. I’m still collecting my thoughts on this but have some ideas…
-
How is that even possible?

Should have been a 4th or 5th round pick at best. And a lot of that was based off winning the heisman. -
It's always on the QB on some level. But I would agree that it's not ALL on Bryce. It damn sure isn't on defense and when you're getting drug up and down the field all game long it kind of forces the offense to throw, which negates our biggest strength on offense. It's a combo of factors. Constantly playing catch-up, lack of a deep threat at WR, Bryce struggling with the deep pass anyway, injuries to the OL, bad play calling, talent/scheme mismatch. It's a huge clusterfug, so why would the results not be the same?
