  1. Past hour
  2. It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne. Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
  3. Dude he didnt play in pre season..... he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October. I do agree though.
  4. Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
  5. And his preseason play. Not an apples to apples but he has not done anything of note and I don't really expect him to. TBH, I thought we over drafted him. He was more of a 7th round/UDFA guy on my RB board.
  6. Added that he is technically our best SO guy in 2025-26 as he has our only SO goal of the season. Lol
  7. I just said you were right I was literally basing what I said off confusing it with an Aho goal. Svechnikov used to be a beast in the shootout heck ive been to 2 games he won in the shootout
  8. He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats. I will say he is currently our best SO guy in 2025-2026, as he is the only Cane to have made a SO goal this season(it's the only of his career).
  9. Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's. As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it? I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
  10. Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually. Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
  11. I'm No honestly might have been swapping him and aho from a game vs the lighting a few years ago... now that I looked it up Jarvu had the breakaway tying goal.. and Aho undressed vassi in the shootout
  12. I know. It's been a wild downfall. 100%. It's really on what the Bucs do. We are probably gonna get the poo kicked out of us for the rest of the season(for the most part, I expect 1-2 more wins) and they have a significantly easier schedule. We are probably going to have to rely on them to fall apart. They haven't really looked particularly strong, TBH.
  13. I'm surprised at how little hope everyone has. Nick Chubb's first knee injury was completely devastating, his second was disgusting, and he's back in the NFL. Lost some burst, but at his age, that's not a surprise. JK Dobbins' injury history is obscenely long; most notably, he blew a knee and an Achilles. He started most of the season. ACL's aren't the death sentence they used to be. Brooks is really young for an NFL player--he wasn't even born yet when Jake Delhomme took us to the Super Bowl. He'd be young for this upcoming draft class. There's a good shot he's back to contributing next year.
  14. I am not ready to make that call yet but, if the rest of the season goes like I think it will, then yes. Basically with 8 games I am a weak yes - maybe no - but with 9 wins, I absolutely would agree with the call.
  15. Consecutive 300 yard passing weeks? Impossible! I don't see Buffalo losing... that said Mills is a good backup though and the NFL is wild this year.
  16. Yea. Which means our odds are largely tied to being in 1st in the division. I’d expect big swings based on the standings.
  17. Sure do. And defense was king. We always had top defenses.
  18. I think those silver helmets look great. The logo is fairly primitive looking but I understand why it is used. The dayglo type blue top/bottom, I think looks like a cartoon. IOW not good. White on white is a classic look, no issue. Black on black I can take but prefer black pants with a blue top. Or white pants with the blue top. That is about as much fashion content as I am comfortable posting. Maybe go to E or Bravo for this stuff.
  19. Today
  20. Remember when the NFC South was the toughest division (circa 2002-2006 when every NFC Championship game featured one of the four of us?)
  21. You are a fair point argument guy, but I disagree that Bryce got us out of that Miami hole. You know who Rico Dowdle is, right? Just a small quibble. IMO when I look at him and see his output in a typical game I imagine what he did that a replacement level guy wouldn’t or couldn’t have done. And I have trouble seeing much difference. So assuming they can’t replace him with someone’s backup, not everybody’s but there are guys sitting, assuming they can’t replace him for probably less money would potentially be an erroneous assumption. But based more on his relationship with the team and the guys making the decisions, the question of will they? I tend to see them sticking with him. I never wanted him at all. But after all the misery of the Bryce era so far, I don’t have a problem with waiting until the season is complete to decide. Bring it on, I can take it. So I am not ranting that he needs to go, although I have certainly done that and can’t say he has changed my mind to this point. He still could. We’ll see.
  22. Yesterday
  23. I just don’t understand this. We have classic, good looking uniforms.
