ESPN's Field Yates interviews Brand Tilis
Jon Snow replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That was a great listen. -
I remember, I think it was Damione Lewis, saying "When you first meet him, you think to yourself "He might be a little off". After you work with him, spend time with him and get to know him though, you say, "Yeah, he's a little off"
-
Per his accuser, an unreal bed, too
-
they are probably ready to be done with him. i know they aren't looking forward to the HoF discussion that you know will come up at some point. the question is, will any team want to claim him?

Off Topic: Remember Ron Rivera on "All or Nothing"?
csx replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rivera was known to be fiery among the players. There have been mentions of this by players. He was good at keeping it among them. -

That was my initial reaction. It was also Lady Cowboy Fan's first response. And I should be clear that, despite being a Cowboy fan, she never swears (not even at Jerry Jones). But I'm not sure if that would be everybody's opinion -

Oh no!!!! A coach said a bad word!!!! -
If you don't, you can see a clip here: All or Nothing: Ron Rivera gives fiery speech to defense A lot of us were surprised to see that because Rivera hardly ever gave off that kind of vibe. Fast forward to today, and now there's this: Ben Albright confirmed this is not a parody report. I looked up the source just to see, and...yeah. Rivera's tirade was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this story. Yes, it's a different sport, but it's still a professional sport, and I can't imagine the NBA locker rooms (or even the NCAA ones) are exactly obscenity free. Also granted, I was always taught not to curse with ladies present. These days though, plenty of women use just as much foul language as any guy. And again, This is an adult professional competitive sports environment. So does somebody need to sue Rivera now? (no, not Panther fans) Looking at this as someone who got sworn at on a regular basis playing Pee Wee football, all I can say is boy, have things changed. For better though, or worse? You tell me...

Really dig this. As an educator, I always love hearing grown-@$$ adults talking about and thinking about how they learn and what strategies they develop to serve their learning styles. Good stuff.

Thought this was pretty cool to see

Feel like the NFL doesn’t really like Rodgers or I would expect a Peyton Manning final season where they make it to the Super Bowl.
-
I'm honestly not sure which way I see it going.

i don't see them blending well at all there. rodgers has this perception of himself that he's a bit better than everyone around him in all ways. not exactly what i would call a team player. he's going to be acting as if the team is lukcy to have someone like him there. i'm sure when he's there the narrative will be "we're all one here" but i really can't see any kind of real cohesion there between him and the rest of the team.
-
Yeah I disagree with Mike here. Clowney, for instance, is a signing that would be akin (or even worse) than trading for Ramsey. And Morgan has shown he doesn’t care about mid to late round picks given he just dumped them into an always injured 2nd round back last year. So I’m not sure what Kaye is even talking about when he says it goes against everything Dan has done as GM.

Looking back on the 2023 QB class and the Panthers absolutely made the right choice jumping up to #1. Only Bryce and CJ have showed any promise. Whether or not they chose the right one of the two, we'll have to "wait and see."
-
This... could be a little awward.
-
Mike Kaye doesn't think so.
-
agreed. i just don't see it happening. not all season.
-
I don't think we'd drafted a WR sixth round without a "particular set of skills." (Do you guys get Liam Neeson's TAKEN movies down under, or do you watch Crocodile Dundee movies over and over?)
