Yes but I’d rather they get it over and just stand behind their guy. As others have said though they probably haven’t done their due diligence on Young vs Stroud yet because they didn’t know we’d have the choice.

What Veteran QB Do We Sign to Mentor the Rookie QB?
MechaZain replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t see the vet teaching much football. That’s the coaches job. They’re for stability at backup and a conduct role model. Darnold has a good attitude and would make a good backup. Unfortunately for Sam, I’m not sure how much of his experience here matters since we have new coaches. If Brissett or anyone fit the scheme better they would work just as well. -
Most people only know this team through fantasy football and DJ being our only above average WR got fed well

For all the durability talk Bryce was the healthier one in college and played more games.

And can’t confirm but he may have been the first to claim Tepper loves Stroud

Think his days are numbered now. Tepper’s going to have to open the checkbook for both football teams. -

Let him compete in camp. Same as before the trade. Why are ya’ll so eager to get rid of a QB prospect who costs nothing and is close to that in trade value? -
Yeah he is there to develop him and for what it’s worth, he doesn’t seem to have a strong enough preference on Young vs Stroud in these videos to put his neck on the line for one over the other.

I want Young, Stroud, or Richardson in that order. I trust the staff to pick their guy between those three. If it’s Levis I’m going to be concerned.

I also don’t think it’s clear to the league what direction the Panthers wanted to go in despite the reports. Panthers had leverage in that they had a lot of other options on the table Chicago needed to preempt if they wanted DJ.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced
MechaZain replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
Without this deal there’s a high chance we wouldn’t have a QB ready take advantage of DJ within his window. The next 2-3 years are his prime and that just doesn’t fit with what we’re trying to do right now. He is a win now piece and a we’re not a win now team. If trading him ends the QB search it was well worth it. Same mentality as the CMC trade but an even better deal. Masterful stuff by Fitterer. -

If Young's talent was his athleticism we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Pat White wouldn't get taken in the first this year let alone first overall.

No complaints here if we land Stroud but if we're going all in for the #1 I want Young. Everyone is letting his size overshadow the fact that the kid's game is as surefire as it gets. He will be great if he can stay healthy and there's little doubt about that. I do think CJ has the potential to be great but if you're going to eat the cost of trading up to #1 it should be for the sort of rare talent that only comes around once a blue moon and that's Young. He will be Drew Brees if he holds up and that's worth betting the farm on.

What a difference a real rim protector makes. I know y'all are down on Clifford but I doubt Borrego would have gotten this much out of Mark.

Panthers director of content and broadcasting Bill Voth stepping away from the organization this week after 6 years.

Richardson and Stroud killed it and Levis arm strength is admittedly impressive. Guy has a laser.
