  1. Not that she didn't go out but she was only a sophomore and only 20 at the time.
  2. I'll take the Riot Report draft over the Observer. I can see us trading back. We would be able to address the O-Line with those new picks or maybe combine one of them and move up get a 2nd, 2nd round pick and get an OT.
  3. True in every case but the point of the post is that unless we have a franchise QB like all the players you mentioned which would you prefer?
  4. I get your point but not necessarily. Game Managers only throw to open targets. They don't give the WR the chance to fight for the ball, gunslingers do. DJ especially would be one of those WR that would fight a DB for the ball. Those plays are explosive plays something we sorely miss.
  5. My post was meant mostly for a non-franchise type QB. Brees, Rodgers and Brady (to name a few) are franchise QBs that do both. Our chances of getting one of these players this year is quite slim. Which is why I asked Gunslinger or Game Manager
  6. 2019 Almost 62% completion with a 19 - 13 TD to Int. All he had was Anderson. He'd come in already familiar with Anderson which would help him immensely. Plus you have CMC and DJ. I am sure he would out play any year he had in NYJ.
  7. Curtis Samuel was our go to guy on third down. Watching this video makes me think he could fill that roll that Samuel thrived on. Moore and Anderson going deep and Simon catching the underneath routes. He's not as fast as Curtis but could fill that role. Could being the key word.
  8. Here's a wild idea. Following the script of the OP. Instead of Minshew (whom I would have no issue signing or trading for) trade for Darnold. Darnold is on his last year of his rookie deal so it wouldn't cost us too much cap wise. Let him start 2022 while Lance learns the ropes. If Darnold plays well and goes into free agency we probably get a compensatory pick in 2022 or 2023.
  9. Cam, and i may be wrong but isn't he the only QB ever to win national titles at two different levels. Without Cam, Auburn doesn't sniff the SEC Champions and the National Title. I may be a bit bias because my daughter was a student at Auburn when they won the title.
  10. Outside of getting a Mahomes or Watson or Rodgers type of QB which are considered franchise QBs. What type of QB would you prefer? I personally like the Gunslinger. A guy that isn't afraid to let the WR make the play. Jake was probably our best gunslinger and though he would throw a couple more picks than a game manager it was fun to watch him heave it up and let Smitty or Moose go up and get the ball. Game Managers are great if you have a solid defense and a good core offensively but when the game is on the line they don't take gambles that could win or lose you the game. Bridgewater is a prime example of a Game Manager (Panthers).
  11. Picking Eric Shelton in the 2nd round and never saw the field. Seriously, Signing Jake Delhomme, a former NFLE player from the New Orleans Saints and gave us some of our best years, if not our most exciting years.
  12. I would be happy with either Darnold or Minshew ( in that order). Darnold has not had the best of team around him in NY and I think a change of scenery will do him well. I've also said that Minshew would do well with this offense. He's in the mold of Jake Delhomme and would bring some fire to our offense. Jimmy G. I am not interested in.
  13. He the perfect stopgap if Tepper is holding out for Watson. 10x better than Teddy, "I can't throw the deep ball" Bridgewater. We bring Minshew in and he performs well maybe we could actual trade him for a higher pick than what we got him for. There is absolutely zero reason why we shouldn't consider him. I personally think he would flourish in our offense. He'll have the greatest weapon in the backfield that can run great routes too. If we could get him for a 3rd or 4th I would jump like a wildcat on it. We are going to upgrade our team in the draft, there's no doubt about it. Along with the free agents we have this team is going to win more than 5 games next year. So we'll further down the draft list and Howell will be out of our range. I still believe we will end up with Watson as soon as his BS charges are cleared up.
  14. If we are going after Watson than why waste a 2nd or 3rd round pick on a QB that will be nothing more than a back-up. If PJ isn't the answer than maybe Minshew or stick with Teddy. The last thing we need to do is compound the problem by picking a QB that may or may not be better than the players we already have on the roster. I'd rather us the 2nd round pick on a player like Creed Humpries or a solid CB.
  15. It's a shytty dilemma for us. Do we wait the Watson legal issues out, even if it means getting him next year. Do we forego Watson and take one of the QBs available if they happen to fall to 8. I think Tepper wants Watson and will wait this issue out. That said I think we'll build the best team we can around whatever QB we put on the field, even if it means Teddy B again. If Slater or Sewell is there at 8 I think we can take him. However, trading down might not be a bad idea either. I just hope the draft gets here soon before half this forum has an aneurism.
  16. I don't think anyone on here is saying PJ is the answer. PJ has a willingness to win. It amazes me the critics on a players that has played 1-1/4 games. There isn't a rookie ever to play that didn't make mistakes. Hopefully, he learns from his mistakes and improves. What I do believe is PJ with the weapons we have will utilize the entire field and give us a chance to win. I don't want to be in almost every game and know that our QB doesn't have the balls to come back and win. I hope they give PJ a chance and allow us to build the rest of the team this season. Trade for Watson next year if he clears his legal issues.
  17. My opinion is Tepper still wants Watson and is going to wait this out even if it means going another season with Teddy or another fill in QB. Defense is looking promising and hopefully we'll build a good offensive line and run with what we have. When the smoke clears on Watson, if he doesn't go to jail, we'll make that trade.
  18. I'm watching ESPN and on the notes on the bottom line there was a quote from the 49ers. Jimmy's not going anywhere, He's our guy. Smokescreen or legit. Huddle have at it.
  19. Did they want too much or were they not budging from the pick.
  20. If we don't add a veteran QB than I would rather see PJ than TB5.
  21. You have to wonder if the 49ers tried to get the 2nd pick from the Jets and they wouldn't budge off the pick. If that is the case than Darnold might be available. That also leave Atlanta with the decision on whether they want to take a chance on Lance. What I am hoping is the 49ers will be happy with either Wilson or Fields and we are on the phone right now with the Jets and offering 3 1st round picks.
  22. I'd rather have Minshew over Jimmy G. With Jacksonville signing Beathard the other day the chances of getting him in trade might be possible. Either that they cut him.
  23. It's possible that 4 QBs will be gone by the 4th pick.
  24. Agreed he should have fired Hurney when he let Rivera go. You actually bring up just another reason why we didn't go LT. Little. He's so bad he's forgetful. Totally forgot about Little. Sadly, Little is added to Hurney's list of terrible 2nd round picks. Okung was brought in to fix the left side and mentor a 2nd year LT. Both failed miserably. The mentality was we address LT and could take Brown. I understand your after the fact mentality (not to insult you) and we let two really good LT go to other teams but hindsight is 20/20.
  25. Seriously? You really expect to see a winner in two season? I think he has done very well. He's brought in a coach that is pointing us in the right direction. Hired a GM that has many of us excited. Good or bad he is determined to get a quality QB and will do whatever it takes to make it happen.
