  1. Wilks was under Snow now he's over him. I see Snow having a big problem with Wilks.
  2. Ya think. I get an opportunity to come home every once in a while, and I had tickets with my 3 daughters and one of their boyfriends to that game. We looked so good in the first half I thought we were going to cruise to another win. Then the old Darnold showed up and ruined the day.
  3. Yes, I do. He always took care of himself. He worked tirelessly in the offseason to improve himself. He was a team player and when he got hurt he was going after a defender who intercepted his pass. RW or TB never gave an effort to do that. It is sad he got hurt that way but to imply he didn't take care of himself is ludicrous. That said, he is still better than any QB we have on our roster. PERIOD
  4. I posted something like this last week. Outside of Roy who is a good rotational player on the D-line, I don't see many of Rhule's poster children hanging around much longer.
  5. WTF are you talking about. Cam was a physical specimen. The shoulder injury was on a fluke play where he was trying to save a pick 6. While he isn't the Cam we once knew. He is, by far, better than any QB we have right now.
  6. The sticking point with Payton is he is still under contract with New Orleans and it is going to take draft picks to get him. If we have the top pick I don't see us giving up that pick for Payton.
  7. He's part of that lawsuit and I hope he wins. He had one season in Arizona and was canned just because they wanted Kingsbury. He wasn't given a clean shot at restoring a franchise. He's got a lot to do and a brutal schedule in front of him. I don't know if he'll win any more games but if he can put us in a situation that we look competitive I wouldn't mind seeing him given a full season.
  8. Cam is a better option than any QB on the Roster, PERIOD. Good shoulder or bad. He can make plays with his leg and can find an open target. If Wilks wants any chance to remain as the head coach I would consider it.
  9. Sadly we'll wake up and Tepper will issue a statement he has full confidence in Rhule.
  10. My only take divisionally would be that you would have to create two divisions. 9 Divisions don't work mathematically. If you had another division in Europe you have 6 games in Europe against European teams the remaining 11 games 5 to 6 teams annually would travel to Europe. They could add 2 teams and be line the NFC West was when we were in it. All division have 4 team except one in each conference. The NFL worked hard to get 4 x 4 and don't think they want to go back to an odd division in each conference.
  11. It is the one thing I love about Steve Smith. There is no sugarcoating in his statements. What a great Video. He actually should have his own show. I would definitely tune in.
  12. Agreed on the talent pool but there were several NFLeu teams that were successful. I would like to see a couple of teams there but not necessarily a whole division.
  13. We have some good young players and we have talent in many places so it's not totally unenticing, but I get your point. The coach would have to have a 3 or 4 year deal to turn things around. All I keep thinking about is Chip Kelly and how he nearly destroyed Philly but they were able to bounce back quickly. I think the key is, the next coach has to be tough and have a solid plan on rebuilding this team. We have some pieces and many unknowns such as Corral, Marshall and Tremble. I think those players will fair much better with a good offensive mind.
  14. DeMeco Ryans is a good DC and would love to bring that attitude he has here, but we really need an offensive mind to run this team. I'd rather lose our DC than our OC if we do well. I think the hard part is who. So many OCs that have talented QBs which makes them look like geniuses but then when they get hired as a head coach and have a mediocre or less QB. They struggle.
  15. Agreed. We saw it on the defensive side with McDermott and Wilks. Though Wilks wasn't given much of an opportunity to turn a franchise around. They jettisoned him as soon as Kingsbury became available.
  16. Not that high, I agree. I was really impressed with him. He had one pass that he just took right over the top of the small DB.
  17. How many of these players stick around after Rhule is fired? Roy is about the only one I think could stay as a rotational player. Anderson is not worth the extension we gave him.
  18. Did anyone see the UGA/Missouri game. This guy is a MAN amongst boys. 6'7" 270lbs of pure terror. What I really liked about him was he is a good blocker and has some sweet hands. I know we are probably taking a QB but damn I would sure love to see this guy in a Panther Uniform.
  19. I initially thought the 49er game might be winnable but after watching their defense last night. We might just have 3 and out on every possession. With or without Jimmy G having a bad game. There is no way Baker is going to have time to sneeze, more or less, get the ball out within 2 seconds. Maybe our defense keeps pace with our offense and scores another TD. That might be the only way we don't get shutout.
  20. I have criteria for our next head coach. 1. Previous NFL experience as an OC or DC. 2. Hire an OC that has a freaking imagination and not someone who runs an old-school offense. 3. A defensive coordinator that utilizes the talent we have on this team. We struggled so many years without a good backend. Now we have one and we don't utilize those players strengths. Dorsey, IMO, benefits from having Allen and I am not sure he'd be as good with a rookie or an average QB. He kind of reminds me of Nagy when he had Manning.
  21. I think he needs to go now. While we may not win any more games. I would rather let someone else run the show. The team deserves it. There is far too much talent on this team to be wallowing in last place. Let someone else run this team. I watch many games; thanks to AFN and all the replays they show during the week. I watch coaches use plays to throw off defenses and yet we are still running plays that don't work. There is absolutely no imagination. It's embarrassing that we struggle to put one or two drives each game to score a TD. Usually, it is a busted coverage or a player making a big play. We cannot sustain a drive. Get rid of Rhule, start changing the culture now so 2023 we are headed in the right direction.
  22. That must be a misquote. We have had only 46 possessions in 4 games. NO way we averaged 53.5 possessions per game. Go look at our game stats.
  23. I was looking at the first for games namely how many possessions we had, and total time of possession. It's not pretty We had 12 possessions against Cleveland and 7 of those possession were 4 plays or less * One was a TD. Cleveland 38:26 to Carolina 21:34 We had 11 possessions against New York and 5 of those possession were 4 plays or less * One was a TD New York 35:57 to Carolina 24:03 We had 13 possessions against New Orleans and 7 of those possession were 4 plays or less *One was kneel at the end New Orleans 29:50 to Carolina 30:10 We had 12 possessions against Arizona and 7 of those possession were 4 plays or less Arizona 38:35 to Carolina 21:25 46 possessions with 25 were 4 plays or less * 2 TDs That is nearly 1/2 of our possessions where we didn't get a 1st down or just 1 first down. Time of Possession Average 35:12 to 24:48
