"Sam needs preseason reps, this coaching staff is clueless."
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Rags's topic in Carolina Panthers
Darnold's accuracy really impressed me. He had a couple of throws that were pin point. That throw into double coverage was tight but Moore had it until he hit the ground. His Interception was bad, I think he thought he had time to push it to Hubbard. It just didn't happen. Bad decision but really his only really bad decision of the day. i hear all the "injury issues" as excuses but their offense was pretty much intact and we absolutely dominated them. No excuses. -

Teach your rookie QB to throw to the guys in Green Jerseys. 3 picks against N.E. Thanks for the trade. Darnold is forgetting his ex quickly.

Our defense is absolute so fun to watch. We have what? 9 sacks already this year? And no one has more than 2. Riddick and Burns

Did she pay for both seats?

TOTAL DOMINATION I will say I don't think we have had a more accurate QB. Darnold put some balls on pin point. I know he screwed up one play but overall he really showed he could win. CONGRATS PANTHERS AND PANTHER FANS

Hahahahaha Pushing them around like flies. That's a big boy.

Graham Gano has now made 34 straight field goals
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Letting Butker go and keeping Gano only to replace him with Slye was moronic. Why waste a pick, even a 7th rounder if you weren't going to give him a legitimate chance. We let a big leg go so we could keep an accurate kicker only to replace him with a big leg only to replace him with an Accurate (not so Accurate) kicker and replace him with a questionable kicker. -
Saints at Panthers - What Saints Fans Are Saying
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
1. The Saints are on an 16-0 run against the NFCS and surely want to make it 17-0. The Panthers have to come out on fire. If we force a 3 and out on their first series, it's game on for us. If they walk down the field and score a TD we might be in trouble. We have to come out with an attitude that we aren't the Panthers of old. 2. Stop the run. We have to make this a one dimensional game. Plain and simple. Stop the run and we'll force Winston into mistakes. If we don't stop the run it's inevitable that we give up a couple of big plays downfield. 3. This will be a true test for our young DBs. If they can make some plays, which I believe they will, we'll win. Jackson and Horn are legit cover corners and will make it tough for Winston. Our nickel will have to be on point or they kill us underneath. 4. Our defensive line is going against a pretty solid O-line but IMO we have an underrated defensive line. We are solid interior and out the edge. We have to get pressure on Winston. I think we'll get 2 or 3 sacks and plenty of pressures. We have to stop the run. It's the key to winning this game. 5. Offensively we can't start out slow. We can't go two quarter (nearly 3) without points like we did last week. Darnold showed some grit last week when the Jets got it to a one score game and drove us down for a FG to put us back up by 2 scores. Turned out to be the game winning drive. 6. Snow and Brady need to be ready to adjust to what the Saints do after half time. Last week both offensively and defensively we played like a different team in the 2nd half. Neither Snow or Brady had an answer for the adjustments the Jets made. The sign of a good OC and DC is the ability to adjust on the fly after half time. It's seems like a lot of things that have to go in our favor to win. I believe as long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot with dropped passes and stupid penalties we will win this game. -
I look at this season as a tale of two halves. We have a favorable schedule to do it. If we can play well and have a winning record in the first half our team has a chance. Our defense will be tighter and really be fun to watch. Hopefully we find the answers on the offensive line and our offense will click. Though the 2nd half is a much more brutal schedule our team, if gelling, will compete.

KC started 2 rookies on their brand new O-Line. No leftover starters from 2020. They seem to be doing OK. It's not only that they are rookies, it's that they are just as good as what we have on the field but with a far higher celing.

I'm making my prediction now. Brown does not see the field until we are out of contention. Rhule is showing he's Rivera 2.0. I could see if the forum was split on Elflein and it was a matter of opinion. When we are almost, to the man, in agreement on a particular player we're 99.9 percent correct. It's nice to have versatility but hell I can snap a football well and I have great balance and footwork. However, truth be known, I probably shouldn't start at either position. I'd rather have him as an emergency center than a starting guard.

Matt Rhule explains deactivating Deonte Brown
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
He dropped 34 pounds from Senior bowl to draft. WTF does Rhule expect. Put his big ass on the field if he gets tired. Sub him out for a series or two. Rhule doesn't get it, Running game is #1. Brown is clearly the guy you want in the running game. Open up some damn holes and that opens the play action and wide open receivers. MATT RHULE stop playing college football and join the NFL. -
Brady still trolling the Falcons
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That was pretty genius. That poo eating grin and the clock gotta be a kick in the balls for Atlanta. -
Gettleman IMO was a hype machine. He loved the limelight. Tons of media attention and outrageous picks when we had some many other needs. (ie 3 CB in a row and only 1 being worth a damn.) Dumping Steve Smith and reneging Josh Norman's franchise tag. So important for him to get NFL Network down to Charlotte. The tie issues doesn't surprise me. It never seemed to fit Rivera who was a former player and wearing a tie doesn't make you a better player. As we watch the Giants go to the cellar of the NFL we can all enjoy it's not us anymore. I like Fitterer but I wish JR would have fired his dumb ass and promoted B. Bean. He would have started our rebuild much sooner. Hurney did OK in round one after DG but Bean would have filled the roster better.

Did Tepper ixnay #keeppounding chant?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to RenoCarolina's topic in Carolina Panthers
For the most part I've been a Tepper supporter. Changing camp sites, changing field turf and a couple of others. If he's behind taking KEEP POUNDING out of our organization. He'll start a downward trend in my outlook at him. -
Jets reaction to Sam to Robby 57 yarder
DaveThePanther2008 replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
@SBBlue Great Stuff You know that had to sting. Some pretty funny reactions. -
Christensen and Brown "close to contributing"
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Chiefs have a brand new O-line with two rookies playing and they did well. Put the rookies in and let them get experience. They can only do so much on the practice field. -
Tremble has good hands. We can fix that assumption by getting him a couple of passes thrown his way. That will take the run only theory. Plus no one is ever going to confuse Thomas with the real 88.
-
Probably one of the most underrated players ever on this team. He was a first rounder but wasn't a highlight reel but solid part of our defense. Retired way to early.
-
Kind of a double edged sword. If we are driving and CMC is doing a large part of the offense. Do you give him a spell and our offense stalls or do we gamble that the backups are going to come in and get us similar yards. I think Hubbard has the ability to bring a similar effectiveness to our offense. Rhule has to give him some valuable time. One or two plays a week isn't going to cut it. If Rhule isn't going to give him the ball than why waste a draft pick on a player you aren't going to give a chance. Secondly, God forbid he goes down again, Hubbard has little or no game time experience and that will hurt us more. My belief is Rhule is scared to take him out and stall a drive. In fact, I think he's terrified.

Brown and Gross-Matos sack. This is really cool.
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
That had to hurt. You have a 320 lb man land on top of you going full speed. You'll remember that sack the rest of your life. Best part about it, it was clean and nothing dirty about it. -
I know there is some sort of benefit of waiting until after week 1 before you grab a veteran Free Agent. You Free Agent / CAP guys. What's the rule? Is there any chance we take advantage of this and sign O-linemen that are in the market? If we aren't going to let the rookies play. We need some help especially against good defensive football teams. `

Biggest glaring redzone weakness?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Put Brown and Christensen in on short yardage and we'll have better push than we we have right now.
