    Lol if you’d made this thread about Derrick Brown I might have agreed. Horn is coming off an injury and Icky literally had his first game against the best DE in the game and didn’t do abysmal. He had some nice moments.

    Snow runs a bad scheme that doesn’t have NFL level gap integrity. It’s a wacky college scheme. At first I thought it was because of a lack of talent on the D-Line but it’s year 3 now.

    Rhule did not have the team prepared today but you can’t disagree that was a horrible call. He’s right on about the awful refereeing.

    Always remember - the NFL is under no obligation to call a fair game. They are a private organization that made up their own rules.

    I agree. The NFL has no obligation to be fair. It’s literally the same type of organization as the WWE. It’s an entertainment league with rules they made up. It’s naive to think they don’t let the refs nudge games.

    The explanation by the ref after the game shows they decided not to call the foul because they just didn’t want to. The ref literally said he faked the spike. You can’t do that, it’s a foul. The NFL doesn’t care that the refs are making stuff up.

    While I get you should “never leave it up to the refs”, the Panthers really didn’t. Burns made a great play but got penalized. The intentional grounding play appeared like it was a fake and the refs allowed Brissett to get away with it.

    The NFL is allowing referees to make up the rules as they see fit. They allowed him to fake the spike. If you needed any more evidence the NFL could be rigged, this it it.

    Considering the ref actually explained why the call SHOULD have been a penalty, the NFL needs to investigate this. The same call went the other way against Jameis Winston and the Saints today. No consistency. Garbage officiating.

    it was intentional grounding and the refs explanation actually explained why it WAS actually a foul.

    Ref claimed that Brissett “faked” the spike. That qualifies as “delaying”. Panthers did indeed get jobbed by the refs. NFL owes the Panthers a legit explanation and the crew should be fined.

    That’s 8 losses in a row and a Week 1 loss to the Browns at home. The Browns hadn’t won an opening week game since 2004.
