  1. I tend to agree with this. But I also think Brady ascended the ladder way too quickly and probably needs to take a step back before he takes another step forward. But he will probably get another OC job if not higher.
  2. What are your predictions for what Joe Brady does next in his career? What he will get and what he deserves are two very different things. Brady was clearly not ready to be an NFL offensive coordinator. But I am fairly certain he will be getting a coordinator job or maybe even a top job. For some reason that guy is viewed like the next Sean McVay despite having achieved literally nothing on his own. I see Brady becoming OC on one of the top schools getting a new staff. Maybe even LSU? Or maybe another NFL team gives him a shot at the OC job? But the truth is he probably belongs back on Sean Payton’s staff for a few more seasons learning how to properly run an offense.
  3. I made a whole thread the week Rhule got hired than nepotism would torpedo the Rhule regime before it got started
  4. This is the most f*cked up thing about the whole Richardson scandal. Not defending anything he did here, but there are other NFL owners who have and are continuing to do tons of unscrupulous stuff that is probably worse than what Richardson did, and still own their teams. Dan Snyder being top of the list. I don’t know if there’s stuff Richardson did that never went public that was way worse than what we knew about. Because I always thought we must have seen just the tip of the iceberg for him to just be like PEACE and bow out and sell the team. Anyway as much as we thought booting old man Richardson would be an improvement, getting a new owner has definitely turned out to be a “be careful what you wish for” situation. I can’t really think of anything that has improved about this franchise aside from some new practice facilities, all digital tickets, and a pretty funny social media presence.
  5. Jags are firing Urban Meyer after one year? Texans firing a guy with that QB situation the way it is? I dunno.
  6. Also possible. But I'm wondering how many other head coaching openings there really are going to be this offseason. Might be a pretty good year to need a head coach with possibly not many teams in the hunt. Las Vegas maybe? Chicago seems likely. Outside chance of Pittsburgh. Low key I think of the surprising ones might be Minnesota.
  7. Maybe McDermott promotes Ken Dorsey to OC though.
  8. Of course I have that is one of sports greatest conspiracy theories. Jordan was hungover for the "flu" game but that one isn't a conspiracy.
  9. https://defector.com/why-your-team-sucks-2021-carolina-panthers/ On Matt Rhule: On Sam Darnold: On Scott Fitterer: What the fans thought: Painful accuracy in this article on all accounts. I think the only thing they whiffed on was the Panthers leading the NFL in COVID cases. I guess that's something to be proud of?
  10. People are willing to put up with more and more bullshit the more and more you win. Michael Jordan is the ultimate champion but I shouldn’t even need to mention his off court shenanigans.
  11. It never lasted but at least it happened. Right now I have no faith in this ownership even putting together a playoff team. This is going to be 3 straight years with 5 wins. Yes I’m pretty sure this team doesn’t win another game.
  12. Panthers went to the NFC championship in Richardson’s second season as an owner and a Super Bowl within moments of a championship in 9 seasons. Go ahead and sneeze at the past regime all you want but right now this owner has turned this team into a miserable dumpster fire. At least under Richardson there were gasps of relevancy.
  13. Richardson knew a lot more about it than Tepper did, that is a stone cold fact.
  14. Sign me up for an Eberflus HC with Pederson at OC. They’d get this mess cleaned up right away.
  15. I’m just shocked Sean Ryan didn’t get a shot. Maybe they are trying to lose
  16. Hackett would be good. They have to at least interview Eberflus and maybe he comes with Pederson as OC. Hell I would take Pederson as HC.
  17. Really depends what the team does the rest of the season. If he goes full Rivera in 2012 and wins the rest of his games, yes he should come back. But all indications are this team isn’t winning another game.
  18. Just fire Rhule. We could have Matt Eberflus and Doug Pederson clean this mess up.
  19. Is this even a question?? The Saints have a proven coach who has won a Superbowl. They've been a consistent contender for the better part of 15 years. They just had their HOF QB retire and are in a bit of flux. Watch them draft a QB prospect and suddenly morph into a contender again. The Panthers have proven absolutely nothing with the coaching staff they have. They don't have a single quality win under their belt in 2 years. Don't tell me beating the Cardinals either time is a quality win. The Panther own that team for some reason and this year they beat them with their backup QB. The last 2 seasons under Rhule have been frankly pathetic. Despite looking relatively competitive in 2020 despite a roster lacking talent, 2021 has been a disaster. Even a weak schedule couldn't save them. The results are so underwhelming you have to hold someone accountable. At the very least, Chase Blackburn and Pat Meyer need to be replaced.
  20. I only agree with this sentiment like 60%. On the surface Fitterer looks like a good GM but he was hired to be essentially a yes-man to Rhule and Tepper. Or does he step up into his own after Rhule is gone?
  21. I remember when we played the Saints in 2017. Taysom had just hit the scene and was on special teams. He made a strong effort to almost block a punt and I thought Troy Aikman was about to cream himself gushing all over Taysom's physique and abilities.
  22. This regime but the franchise in a huge f*cking mess and they should all be fired.
