  1. I would assume the Panthers regret not trading him
  2. The Panthers should’ve thought about that when the trade offer came through.
  3. Burns isn’t worth what the Rams offered so I’m bummed they turned that down but hey they didn’t trade him so pay the man and get him on the field ASAP
  4. Shaq played in the shadow of TD and Kuechly and I think because he was “mentored” by them he got a pass for being an average/above average player. Burns is the superior talent but he’s mostly a one trick pony but it’s one of the most necessary tricks a defense needs. The Panthers made the decision to keep him when they turned down the Rams package of picks so they just gotta pay him now or look like epic dumbasses.
  5. I’ve been soured on Fitterer from the moment he took Jaycee Horn over Fields, Parsons, Slater, or even Patrick Surtain II. He is always on the losing end of his draft day trades.
  6. The Cardinals might sign him straight up because he’d lose them games in their tank effort
  7. Why not? Aside from Burns and Justin Houston in the twilight of his career there are no proven pass rushers on the team. Send Matos and a 6th
  8. He’s worth keeping around for the season but he’s a QB that needs reps. The NFL as a whole needs a protected farm system.
  9. Matt Corral is basically a rookie and he showed a little potential and a lot of things to fix. I’ve seen worse QBs in preseason. But yes if he is starting for this team the season is probably over.
  10. Shi Smith's roster spot just gets more secure
  11. Nice work. I've been doing a bunch of repairs on my house every weekend since July to get it ready to list next week and I've been getting up at 6:30am to get outside before the temps reach near 110. I've legit gotten early stage heat exhaustion a few days. Painting facia boards on a ladder when it's pushing 100 is something I don't ever want to do again but I will say the house is looking amazing. It's a shame we gotta sell it.
  12. The 2011 offense was low key one of the most talented the Panthers ever put on the field. If it wasn't for the defense being complete trash that team would have been in the playoffs. Back on topic I'd take Steve Smith and a rag tag group of other WRs over anything else.
  13. I mean if they were giving him away and the Panthers could rent him for a season, sure
  14. Steve Wilks went 6-6 with Matt Rhule’s roster. If this “all star” coaching staff can’t get to .500 with a good chunk of the same roster then it was a mistake to not hire Wilks full time.
  15. It took me having kids to get there honestly but when you can’t even watch the games it really does set the priority of things. I won’t say I’m not disappointed in the performance of the team overall since David Tepper purchased the franchise but I can’t control literally anything about it. Might as well just continue watching it like a slow motion car wreck.
  16. After last night and with Byrd out for the season I think Shi Smith has locked up a roster spot.
  17. I'm guilty as anyone here of reactionary posts after a loss but maybe it's time bring back chat along with heavy forum moderation so the fans can get their rage out in a safe space without spamming the board with knee jerk posts.
  18. For me it was Fields but Slater was there too. I couldn't believe they passed on taking a top prospect QB for a luxury position like CB. When you don't have an answer at QB the rest of the team doesn't matter.
  19. Burns and Houston aren't playing and there's some positive early signs from DJ Johnson. Let's wait until there's a real pass rush before we panic.
  20. I just don't care as much anymore and it feels good. I've got too much poo going on in my life to let a sports team ruin my mood. But even from my most passionate standpoint it's really way too early to be writing multi-paragraph diatribes about the failure of this current staff and team.
  21. Horn was an extremely questionable pick but Icky was a slam dunk let's not get that twisted. Local kid who had enough cred and talent to be the #1 overall pick.
  22. I mean my dude, chill. It's been two preseason games with a rookie QB and a brand new staff. If it was Week 9 with a 1-7 record then rant away.
  23. No, they just need to commit to running the ball and keep Reich’s fancy passing plays on the shelf until the team develops more
  24. I can already tell you what the problem I with the offense is going to be all season. It’s going to be Frank Reich wanting to get cute with fancy passing plays that aren’t appropriate for the personnel or called at poor times during games. That knock has followed Reich everywhere he’s been. With a rookie QB and a team returning 4 out of 5 starters on an OL that proved they can open up huge holes in the running game, they have to lean on the running game and use play action and RPOs. They honestly need to take the ball out of Bryce’s hands as much as possible. I don’t care how much smoke the team blows up our asses about how far ahead with the playbook Bryce is, if the OL can kick ass in the running game, run the f*cking ball.
  25. Whether we want to accept it or not the panthers are a bad franchise that occasionally has a good season. We just skipped over that occasional good season the last 6 years or so
