  1. The NFL needs small market punching bags to pad the win columns of the big market teams.
  2. The Panthers natural trajectory wasn’t getting the #1 overall pick this season unless they traded this pick to get Bryce Young who is a bad enough QB to get the #1 overall pick.
  3. The amount of trades the team makes + Tepper coming from a finance/hedge fund background (even he admits he enjoys making trades and "deals) = Tepper is pushing these decisions. To what extent? That's the real question.
  4. It is truly hard to judge Fitterer because Tepper is so obviously involved in every decision and has created an echo chamber around him. Scott Fowler and other panthers media have reported he got rid of every person who told him the truth. From an outside perspective, Fitterer is horrible. But maybe even Tepper knows he didn’t give him a real chance which is why he hasn’t been fired yet. But man where would we be if this team never lost Brandon Beane? The whole Gettleman debacle and bringing back Marty Hurney was the beginning of the mess we are in now, regardless of Tepper, who just made it much worse.
  5. How many kids does Tepper have? They don’t have a stake in this? They’re probably in their mid 30s and succeeding without much effort given who their dad is.
  6. Texas played a crap game and was still in it with a chance to win at the end. They’ll be back in the CFP next year if Ewers stays. Manning isn’t ready and might be a little overhyped. Washington is a very good team so hats off to them for the great win. On topic, Penix could definitely be a good NFL QB on another team. Fastest way to ruin his career would be for the Panthers to draft him.
  7. The last precedent for this was in 2009 when the Titans owner flipped some fans the middle finger and he was fined $250k. Throwing a cup of water at someone is technically misdemeanor assault so I’d assume the fine will be higher than $250k. But I think it is highly unlikely the NFL docks draft picks or punishes the organization in a meaningful way.
  8. Better than the one they ran with Ted Ginn trying to throw it
  9. Equating a billionaire owner of an NFL franchise routinely acting like a petulant child to some random plebs being rude to you and your parents at the grocery store…thanks for the laugh
  10. Can you share some excerpts for the cheapskates who didn’t sell their data to the Charlotte observer so we could read this article?
  11. He deserves one last shot at LT next season but he might need to be moved to guard for the sake of his career and that’s fine. As long as he’s productive the pick won’t be a total waste.
  12. We genuinely don’t know how many decisions were his or Tepper’s and that’s the biggest problem with fixing the team going forward.
  13. This goes beyond making a simple mistake out of passion, this is a pattern of behavior for him. It’s embarrassing to the entire fanbase and represents how extensively he has ruined the Panthers. A billionaire NFL team owner should absolutely be above throwing drinks at plebs in other team’s stadiums.
  14. Happy New Year everyone! Phew....what a year 2023 was for the Panthers. It was probably the worst calendar year in team history. Here's hoping 2024 is a better year for the Panthers...as many have said, it couldn't get any worse...right? RIGHT??? Well, after getting shut out for the first time since 2002, Panthers fans were treated to a video of the team owner throwing a drink at an opposing fan. Aside from some notable exceptions that have nothing to do with the on-field performance of the team, this has to be an all-time low for the franchise. It starts at the top and the Panthers are a mess because the owner is genuinely a petulant man-child. I don't really care what his bank account says, we can all see it. It will be interesting to see what the punishment will be for these childish actions and like a court ruling it should set a precedent for future bad behavior of team owners. Conor Orr writes about it for Sports Illustrated, it's definitely worth a read. https://www.si.com/nfl/2024/01/01/david-tepper-throwing-drink-pathetic-look Joe Person also weighed in for The Athletic (if you pay for it) and did not mince words. https://theathletic.com/5172135/2023/12/31/carolina-panthers-embarrassing-david-tepper-throws-drink/ One of the best article's Joe Person has ever written, to be honest. Welp, where we go from here will be interesting. The Panthers probably haven't created a single new fan under David Tepper and are losing the ones generated during the previous regime that went to the Superbowl. Growing up in NC I used to see Panthers garb all over the place, now I don't see it anywhere. It's so sad what this owner has done to the Panthers.
  15. Whatever is the quickest way to get the David Tepper out of Charlotte, sign me up
  16. The grammar of those posts is an affront to fourth graders everywhere.
  17. Ok ok I got some inside info. the fan said Dave’s wife had a stinky vag
  18. That’s on the Jacksonville stadium AV contractor lol
  19. Uh no Brian St Pierre threw like an 88 yard touchdown in that game. They didn’t score any points today. Grade A loser garbage today. At least St. Pierre scored!
