  1. I’m ready for Thomas to call the offense. He comes from the McVay tree, and McVay loves the guy. It’s time Frank. You are HC. Empower your people who you trusted to hire. Focus on total team organization. Be the servant to those you delegate to.
  2. I definitely don’t see .500 at all, let alone at the deadline. I was basically saying that, unless there is some miraculous turnaround out of nowhere, I’d move Burns and blow this poo up.
  3. I definitely don’t see .500 at all, let alone at the deadline. I was basically saying that, unless there is some miraculous turnaround out of nowhere, I’d move Burns and blow this poo up.
  4. If we aren’t .500 at the deadline, I’d move Burns and Chinn. Give Barno and DJ all the reps. Let them go through their lumps and see if they are pieces for next year. Chinn is being wasted as a DB when he is actually a linebacker. I would not move Brown. Big guys like him are tough to find.
  5. CJ basically looks like Corral’s physical ability and arm talent, but pro ready between the ears, and accurate. Man I need to take some time off discussing football. It’s mad depressing right now.
  6. I think I was wrong arguing against the Burns trade last year. I really like him, but unless the team does some crazy 180, it’s pointless giving him a big contract. And it’s looking like Wilks overachieved down the stretch, and I was fooled. Our team looks lost, the best players can’t stay in the field, and the lack of depth is slapping us in the face, and we may have picked the wrong QB. Just a big ouch all around. If we aren’t about .500 at the trade deadline, he needs to be moved for picks, even if it won’t be as much as the Rams offer. If we were “close” like Fitt said, keeping him makes sense…but we don’t look close at all.
  7. We don’t nearly have their offensive talent, but I’m absolutely positive McDaniels would be getting far more from our weapons than what Reich has so far. He actually tries to confuse and mislead defenses.
  8. The difference in arm talent is pretty stark between Stroud and Young. And Stroud seems to be “processing” more than fast enough, which looks like a manufactured red flag that was tied to Stroud after the S2 shenanigans. Unless Bryce takes some huge leap and the first two games are lying, this is going to be painful to watch.
  9. Mr. So Blessed was a fan. I’m tired of the sweet kid nice guy angle.
  10. I’m not surprised by the meltdown. The way the game ended, and the embarrassing 2 point conversion will do that to a fan base.
  11. Definitely an emotional post, but I’d be down for that. We didn’t sign up for this poo. I’ll cool down by Tuesday, and I hope everyone else enjoys the evening.
  12. I’d say so. Promote Evero to HC, he then would let Thomas run the offense.
  13. Wish Carrol was our coach. His teams give effort. They have fun. He gets a lot of our players. They seem to draft well. They coach with balls.
  14. Imagine how good he’d be doing if they didn’t hire a defensive HC. -Huddle
  15. I know it’s a general term, but reading/hearing “processing” is wearing thin. I’ve never heard it used this much for any other player. At the end of the day, this is football; not rocket biology.
  16. I think if Wilks was retained, with the way we finished the year, that anything below .500 would have been a disappointment. So it’s interesting (and this may be people defending Bryce, or just revising expectations) that after two weeks, we are talking 4 wins/6 wins etc keeps Reich around, when this staff was supposed to be an UPGRADE, and Bryce, albeit a rookie, was supposed to be an UPGRADE from what we had at the position last season. So maybe the Falcons and Saints are both playoff teams and we don’t know it yet; maybe we start beating bad teams like Wilks did, and we realize this as the year develops… But if, in the end, WE are one of the bad teams, instead of a team that beats bad teams but loses to good ones… I’m fine letting this staff go bye bye after this season.
  17. I don’t think trading for Darnold was bad either; it’s giving a talented guy another shot under the belief he got a raw deal in NY. It was a gamble, and I don’t mind taking a chance But based on what he had done in the league, we paid too much, and that was apparent from the jump. And it was more than a 2nd rounder. Wasn’t it a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th? Something like that.
  18. Would it have been wise to air it out when your best option was Darnold though? Gotta work with what you have.
  19. Just thought about this, but just curious. If we took the second half of the year team that finished 4-2, with Foreman and the run focus, and just swapped Darnold for Bryce…do we look better right now? I don’t know, but it’s interesting (if futile) to think about.
  20. Not really. It’s still early maybe? But I’m damn near at the end of my patience. It was fun (because Rhule ruined football beforehand) to watch our team compete down the stretch to possibly win a shite division. I enjoyed that. As a fan who doesn’t get to pick the players we draft, ultimately I like watching the team get a W every time it happens. So I just try to enjoy the ride. Now if we pulled a Texans and lost the first pick by winning the final game…I’d be upset lol.
