  1. Assuming Corbett and BC legitimately had poor showings (big asterisk with PFF): it kinda makes sense considering they had a new Center playing beside them for the first time this season. Might have just been some typical miscommunications/miscues which are natural when you haven't had the time to gel with the new guy next to you. I'd expect them to bounce back in the coming weeks.
  2. Well, I agree with that lol but that’s not really the trade-off. We’re talking Fields vs. Horn. More or less a JAG with an extremely high ceiling who is showing signs of improvement as of late, vs. a corner playing at an All-Pro level who has struggled to see the field. You can make a case for either; it’ll come down to whether Fields continues progressing and if Horn becomes one of those disappointing perennially injured all-world talents.
  3. It’s quite reasonable to hold the opinion that Fields was put into a bad situation that has seriously hindered his chances for success. But anyone saying he’s been impressive, throwing out the term “franchise QB”, declaring that we made a huge mistake passing him over, etc. are just not operating in reality. Objectively speaking, he has been at the bottom of nearly every QB metric. He seems to be trending in the right direction though. He’ll for sure be an exciting player if he can put it all together.
  4. Why did he use a picture of Christian McCaffrey?
  5. “We’ve won 16 games in 3.5 seasons and this guy wants to cradle DJ Moore’s balls in his mouth!” -That’s the kind of “football related discussions” you’re bragging about contributing to these boards that you expect grown adults to engage with. Go nip at someone else’s ankles, you child. Lil’ Chihuahua Frank molded from the discussion boards of Facebook.
  6. Silly Frank, I'm perfectly fine with the trade. If my post you're quoting is criteria for a "meltdown" then I'd love you to psychoanalyze the kinds of tantrums you throw in here daily. Answer me this: if someone is a "big CMC guy" then why in the hell would they be complaining about this trade? If you love CMC so much you'd be damn ecstatic that he's leaving the worst team in the league who put his body through years of abuse running him up the gut 30 times a game, to go to sunny San Francisco where he might actually compete, and him and his girl are no doubt going to be MUCH happier...closer to family, etc. Anyone mad about this trade is undeniably putting the team's interests over CMC's because they think we're a better team with him rather than that haul of picks from the 49ers.
  7. I'm not...no where in my post did I mention anything about running backs. I mentioned CMC once in my first post but I already said that was just as a goof to the people spamming "16 wins in 3.5 years" as a big mic drop. My actual argument (my entire last post) was disputing your idea that you pretty much have to draft WRs in the first round and that it's so hard to find really good ones. 14 of the top 25 WRs statistically this year were drafted in the 2nd or later. I'd be curious how many positions you'd see a distribution like that with.
  8. The top two NFL receivers in terms of yardage are Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs, who were both drafted in the 5th. Then you got Kupp at #4 (probably the best WR in the NFL) who was drafted in the 3rd. Other top WRs like AJ Brown, Davante Adams, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, Courtland Sutton, Michael Pittman, Gabe Davis, JuJu...Terry McLaurin....Christian Kirk....Tee Higgins.......those are all Top 25 WRs statistically and were drafted in the 2nd round or later. I don't think it's as hard as you're suggesting. Also to your point in your last post about what teams are willing to do to get a good receiver (assuming you mean via trade): many of those teams who went all in on trading for a receiver find themselves at (or tied for) the bottom of their respective divisions. Dolphins (trading for Tyreek Hill), Browns (trading for Amari Cooper), Raiders (trading for Davante Adams), Cardinals (trading for Marquise Brown) are all at the bottom of their divisions. Conversely, the teams who traded said players are doing pretty well: Chiefs (first in their division), Cowboys (third in their division but 4-2), Packers (2nd in their division), Ravens (first in their division). The only team who made a big trade for a WR and are excelling this season is Philly (AJ Brown). Unless I'm missing something obvious.
  9. Yeah but like we've only won 16 games in the past 3.5 seasons with DJ Moore as our #1 receiver... Naw I wanna keep DJ, I'm just goofing on the people who used that argument as their rally cry for trading CMC and are awkwardly quiet when it comes to the discussion of trading DJ Moore lol.
  10. Just curious, what does it mean when people suggest we were "building around a RB"? That seems to imply that we were intentionally making CMC the focal point of our offense. Like I could understand if we invested in a bunch of run-blocking o-linemen to put all our eggs in the rushing basket. But it feels a lot more like we were trying to develop a passing offense, just failing miserably at it. Since drafting CMC, we've invested pretty significant resources (money and/or draft picks) into DJ Moore (drafting + extending), Teddy, Sam Darnold, Robbie Anderson, TMJ, Matt Corral, and Baker to a lesser extent. Not to mention our choice of OCs (Brady and McAdoo) who have traditionally been much more pass-focused. Rather than "building around" CMC, it seems evident we tried to complement him with a strong passing attack but failed biblically so we were just resigned to feeding CMC as the only way to move the ball.
  11. Ugh I’m mostly upset that this is happening less than 3 days before the Bucs game which happens to be the only one I’m going to lol. No CMC is going to make our already unwatchable offense somehow less watchable. I’ll probably wait til the offense takes the field to go get in line for a beer.
  12. Same lol I’m gonna keep exploiting that TE designation as long as I can. Hill now has at least one passing, rushing, and receiving TD on the year. I wonder if he’s the first player to do that since CMC a few years back after his infamous TD pass to Chris “Martinez” Manhertz against the Saints.
  13. Do you want us to win games or are you on the tank train? Cause if it's the latter as I suspect, then I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to throw Darnold out there if you genuinely think he's the worst QB on our roster. Just logically seems counterintuitive.
  14. He's gotta be like top 3 in interceptions too, right?!
  15. Uh no. There surprisingly are a few people who spend more time on these boards than you do, and I don't think they're incels at all. You're just by far the most contemptuous, bitter, resentful, spiteful poster I've seen traverse these boards in my aforementioned 10 years, combined with your constant evoking of sexual acts to characterize people you hate (Rhule, Darnold, now CMC) come together to make a perfect little Incel cocktail. But the more time you spend in here instead of potentially seeking more dangerous outlets for your resentment in the real world, the better for society. So I can genuinely say I'm glad to have you here.
  16. Bro I've been on these boards for 10 years and you've doubled my post count in the 1 year you've been here. Also in case you're not just playing dumb, even if I was on here as much as you..."incel" and "terminally online" are not synonymous. You being both doesn't make those terms interchangeable.
  17. Man I gotta say I get real Incel vibes from ole Frankie. I've never seen someone so fueled by spite...but what's interesting is that whoever is the target of his resentment, he always posts sexual imagery about sucking their D or slurping their jizz or now banging their girl's baby-maker. Those types of negative associations with sex are rampant in the Incel community. That's my psychology PSA of the day, thank you thank you.
  18. I just don't see how anyone can watch CMC on game days throughout his entire career (including after getting his extension) and suggest he's the type of guy who gets paid and then checks out for self-preservation. The dude gives it 150% on every snap and does not play like a guy trying to preserve his body. Elflein shared a story about how CMC came into the training room in last year's game against the Saints (soon after his "fat contract") violently vomiting with full body cramps, got a quick IV, and then went back in to finish handling his usual 30 touches/game. If I were to make a list of possible reasons for CMC's significant injury history/missed games over the last couple seasons, my list (in order of likelihood) would go: 1) He's legit building up nagging injuries due to his 479 touches per game because of how overly reliant our offense is on him (including continuously running him up the gut like a 250-pound battering ram) 2) Rhule putting him on IR prematurely to build an excuse for his failures (unlike CMC, Rhule has shown time and time again of being fueled by self-preservation) THEN a distant 3rd would be CMC playing up the injuries to avoid sacrificing his body for a losing team.
  19. I'm referencing PFF's own 85.9 pass-blocking rating, so dissecting their criteria as far as what constitutes a pass play or not doesn't really seem relevant. That 85.9 rating would have already accounted for that.
  20. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-6-game-recap-los-angeles-rams-24-carolina-panthers-10 They apparently gave him really low marks for run-blocking despite most of CMC's success coming off the left edge, according to his run chart that's been posted in here. Still seems strange for an 85.9 pass blocking grade + 40.6 run-blocking grade to come out to a 45.0 overall grade.
  21. It just seems strange that some of Hurney's most vocal critics are somehow Fitterer's biggest advocates when they both seem to suffer from several of the same egregious mistakes. -Extending underperforming players to lucrative contracts? Check. (Ian Thomas, Donte Jackson, Robbie Anderson) -Hitting in the 1st round but largely missing everywhere else? Check. It's obviously too early to judge this year's class favorably or unfavorably, but last year: TMJ/Tremble/Chuba/Daviyon Nixon/Keith Taylor/Deonte Brown/Shi Smith/Thomas Fletcher/Phil Hoskins have all had little-to-no contribution halfway into their second season. Christensen seems to be the only one outside of Horn who has contributed in any meaningful capacity. -Trading away valuable draft capital? Check. Hurney's typically came in the form of trading up in the draft, whereas Fitterer has traded picks away for players like Sam Darnold and CJ Henderson and did trade a 3rd to move up in the draft for Corral. Darnold was obviously a horrible trade and Henderson/Corral are still somewhat TBD but not inspiring a ton of confidence so far.
  22. The Bills might not have invested in an "expensive" RB in terms of salary cap, but they clearly do value the running back position considering they've invested either a 2nd or a 3rd round pick in RBs in 3 of the last 4 drafts. That is pretty damn expensive in terms of draft capital.
  23. With Robbie Anderson traded, I've gotta imagine TMJ's snap count will increase dramatically. If not....then that's a pretty bad sign. I would disagree with inserting Cade Mays or any other o-lineman into the starting line-up just to evaluate them, since our o-line is playing so well as a unit. Elevating Mays to the top of the depth chart at Guard, I'm on board with. Maybe not at Center, as I'm still curious to see Bozeman in action although again not unless there's an injury or if Elflein becomes a liability. But the o-line is one unit I'm very wary about experimenting with unless there's a good reason. Point #3 sounds good but I just don't foresee a scenario where that will happen. Wilks has seemingly given us a glimpse of his philosophy in the Rams game (which is ULTRA conservative) and I don't see him doing a complete 180 unless Tepper has instructed him otherwise. I also don't think coaches particularly care about the entertainment value of the product they put on the field - they employ whatever game plan they think gives them the best chance to win, and sometimes that's just boring football. I truly don't understand watching the offensive product on the field this season under Baker and PJ and objecting so forcefully to the idea of even trying Sam Darnold under center. Our Darnold offense last year still outperformed whatever stinking heap of poo we've witnessed this year. That very well could be the McAdoo effect, but I can't imagine being like "NO DARNOLD AT ANY COST" and instead preferring to watch PJ throw screen passes all game en route to 3 points. Wilks clearly doesn't trust PJ enough to even pretend to throw a forward pass. No one is expecting Darnold to light it up, but our current offensive output is such a low bar that even a bust like Darnold has a chance to put up more points.
  24. You know things are getting bad when our ire starts trickling down to positional coaches. Usually those guys are largely an afterthought since they are such a small and immeasurable cog in the big picture of a season's success. We're gonna run out of people to blame soon.
