  1. I think it’s important to understand that scouting players is extremely difficult, and even the best scouts miss as much as they succeed. These scouts are looking for traits and using that, along with interviews, pro days, and combines, to try to paint a picture of a player who could be successful in the NFL. However, that doesn’t guarantee success it’s not an exact science Yeah, Steve thought Mingo was going to be a player, and he turned out to be a bum. That’s just how it goes
  2. How is this a sustainable business model? The only way it works is if the Bengals hit on every single draft pick and they’ve already shown us they can’t do that.
  3. Tee left so much money on the table, it’s crazy. Chase and Burrow didn’t leave any crumbs, so why did he?
  4. Horn may not be the best corner in the league, but he is the best corner we have. If you are even close to being one of the best, teams are going to pay you like you are. The 49ers have a similar situation with Purdy. The Panthers were never going to get Horn for a bargain, that's not how the NFL works. If we hadn't paid him, I guarantee another team would have offered Horn $25 million or more, just like the Giants had no problem paying Burns $30 million. It is what it is
  5. The strategy does not change, no matter how many free agents you bring in. you draft the best player available no matter where that takes you.
  6. They already said they wanted to assemble a complete team so they could draft the best player available. Maybe that’s a running back, maybe it’s not.
  7. It was time, this draft is deep with running backs. He was older, expensive and a disappointment It just doesn’t make sense.
  8. Most teams fail at the draft, it’s largely a crapshoot. For every team that drafts as well as the Rams last year, there are 29 others struggling to find even one rosterable players. A successful draft rate over five years is around 30%, meaning that hitting on just two out of seven picks would make you one of the most best GMs in the league. I think fans set their expectations too high for results that are pretty unlikely.
  9. draft the best player no matter where that takes you. if its tyler warren its tyler warren
  10. They stated that they were going to build a complete team in FA so that they could draft truly the best player available
  11. There are 29 teams trying to sign the exact same players, the activity is there sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It’s not like they’re just sitting on their dick.
  12. They were 100% willing to pay him at 20 to 21 million. They clearly thought he could be a valuable piece just not at $26 million.

  14. I hear people say this, but I don’t agree. You have to fill a lot of your gaps through free agency, while dynasties are built through the draft. Those players need to be developed, and that takes time. Rarely are these guys able to contribute in their rookie season.
  15. No, we got played by a fuging social media reporter, who was so busy being the first to report it that he blew the deal.
  16. Man this seem fuging college signing day poo. If he gets flipped I’m goin to flip some tables
  17. I was hoping if the Panthers didn’t make a run, that he at least left the division
  18. That’s not what this looks like. If you want to pay JC, you have to make him the highest-paid cornerback or at least put him in that ballpark. This is not a Panther thing it’s just the state of the NFL
  19. Y’all are never happy about anything. “We should’ve paid this guy.” “We paid too much for that guy.” “We didn’t get enough for this other dude.” Might as well just root for the Cowboys at this point.
  20. it was over the moment the season ended
