I loath playing on turf its like a grabbing scraping hammering surface destroying your every move and fall................ ...........I totally get players wanting grass to play on.

Rebuild? This is the NFL and with player career life expectancy along with free agency trading dictates that if you don't have your poop together in 3 years you will constantly be in a rebuilding mode...........at some point you need to have a secure healthy teams and say here it is folks. Panthers have been demonstrating a prototypical approach to a rebuilding reset mode ever since that hedge fund "I don't care how they play as long as my investment yields value that out paces inflation" Tepper took over.

Panthers resulted in me cutting my cable.....getting a library card and reading books on Sundays............I only check scores or highlights online if I feel like it.

This kid was used to playing on a dominate team with loads of talent in college and now has to deal with a mediocre team at an NFL level of play with size and speed he's never dealt with before. On top of that he used to play for a competent coach at the college level and now he's playing for a nerd hillbilly of a head coach here. I don't care what his mindset is or how mature beyond his years he is......or how he has such a high football IQ...................if he doesn't have the size/physical skills on a team that doesn't have talented skill set players its going to be a long season unless he ends up on IR first. Never liked this pick and until he, this team and their dork coach proves me wrong I don't see much of a future for someone like this in the NFL. Dump the poop on my comment all you want but I deal with reality.

You can ignore reality but reality won't ignore you............ Panthers with a rookie QB, new coaching staff and suspect O line play with injuries to skill position players doesn't bode well for the start of the season................among other issues they are dealing with on the other side of the ball as well. They'll be 0-1 by 5pm today. Its about money not wins........look who owns the team. There are you answers.

I see it as the exact opposite........Panthers will start out strong and do well through through the first half of the year and fall flat through the balance of the season lucky to end up even. Reasons? Simple.........the wear and tear of injuries.............and no depth with the offensive line is really going to bit them in the ass. That is the reality of the situation.

Seems like if you don't have a stadium that doesn't have a retractable roof along with a sliding field of nature turf and artificial turf you can move in or out of the facility at will........along with a concession stand that resembles mall of America and club house seating that rivals Monte Carlo private boxes at an F1 race......that your stadium is a dog. SoFi stadium cost 4.9 Billion.......the most expensive one so far...........so is a 5 to 10 billion dollar with the pitched in financial albatross of public subsidies in the future for NFL cities needing to "upgrade"?

That's like having your dream home only to find out the foundation is sinking and the basement is full of water.

Did Young ever play any games in college with an O line performance like he might be playing behind with the Panthers this year? I think if he ever did it might be worth checking out how he managed in that game(s) and see what the results were. I know he had a should injury and tweaked a knee while in college.......might be worth seeing what caused those injuries. But if in fact if he never had an O-line play in college like what might happen while in the Panther backfield this year..............then all bets are up in the air as if he can replicate what he did in college on the field in the NFL. Simms point is well..........meh. Because he's not focused on the challenge at hand........

Young doesn't hobble off the field after a 1st series wincing in pain into the sideline tent.......

An O-line that is dysfunctional in the preseason doesn't lend much credence to being able to execute that in the regular season........especially for a rookie franchise drafted QB. You don't need a score board in preseason to figure that out.

Wait until the injuries start piling up.................... Then you'll see how bad this team is........no depth on the O line.

Trends are not prediction or foresight..................a poor O-line here and a small fragile body QB increases the odds of what can happen to this kid. Power ball is all chance.......no trending determines what balls pop up. Go find some tea leaves to stare into..........

Young will last 5 years in the NFL in and out of IR while playing for 3 different teams........
