One thing you liked, and one thing you didn't like.
PghPanther replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Liked..............at the end of the first quarter the momentum of the whole game was going with the Texans but by 5 mins in the 3rd quarter the Panthers reclaimed it for the rest of the game.........also the QB sneak for a score...... Dislike.......using small backs for short yardage plays between the tackles..........ugh! -
hehe.........you guys are easier to ruffle feathers than a group of teenage girls reading Vogue

UPDATED: Jaycee Horn Diagnosed with Broken Foot

Diet..............not getting the right nutrients...............calcium is the key..........plus any consumption of soft drinks destroys bone tissue................add it up -
Did you hear Troy talk about see CMC before the game and remarked about his quad development? I can tell you that major quad development without super man hams to back them up will lead to pulled hams which usually for anyone demanding sprinting/stop and go or quick turns will play havoc for many weeks if not the whole year. This team and i've said it before has no power run game and CMC pound for pound is tops but in a world where he's too damn small.........so he tries to build up power in the quads/glutes only to be susceptible to injury.......let alone his size is a disadvantage for how many times Brady calls plays that sends him in between tackles....... and the rookie running back we have?..............what a joke. Imagine that play were they went for it on 4th and 1.............no big back to carry through for a 1st down and on that play the game could have changed completely............... The should be up 14-0.............. CMC would have made a better Steve Smith type position player............. look to see the turnover battle go the Texans way in the 2nd half.............

This team has no power running game in between tackles when needed for critical short gain conversions/scores.......and sending CMC in there is going to shorten his career.

as far as worry warts two games in the season............fans tend to climb a wall of worry all season as their team progresses................and you can't blame them because one bad hit to a starting QB of any team in this league could sink your season fast.... In regards to the Snow defense..............time will tell.........the fact the high flying Saint offense from week 1 performed so poorly against Panthers D in week two may factor in with some key starters missing due to covid on the part of the Saints......... Meanwhile Panthers have trying to keep a healthy o-line a bit of a challenge this week.

Question for you 50 years plus folk (and others)?
PghPanther replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm the wrong guy to ask.............in my 20s I got to see my team when the superbowl 4 times in 6 years living in Pgh............ Its odd........we won so many SBs in the 70s I personally don't care if I ever had another team I rooted for winning one........it is the opposite of a fan base that has had decades of failure or gasp!.........being a Bills fan. -
Panthers suffer turnovers.............allowing the Jets stumble to a 10 point win..........21-10 the final..... Used too much up the middle McCaffery goes out of the game in the 3rd quater with some form of a back/knee/ankle strain. .......and everyone questions Darnold's play......the Offensive line and the coaching staff. A shocking start to a long season...

Would you be upset if Sam was KC version of Alex Smith?
PghPanther replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's Steve Beuerlein 2.0.....manage the game okay but don't put the team on his back to pull out a big win when needed. ...he's a career .481 gamer at best. Good luck Panther fans...........find a team to root for in the post season because you won't be there. -
Matt Rhule on Jaycee Horn - Why he is the best fit
PghPanther replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Stick that guys brain in a pigeon and it will fly backwards............ Big receivers a problem? That's like 8 or 9 down on the priority list of building a winning football team....... If this guy was a general contractor building a home he'd have the guys come in with the hardwood floors for the upstairs bedrooms to install when they haven't even finished laying the foundation blocks for the basement. Foundation blocks = Offensive line talent and depth.................end of story. Clueless........... -
Round 1 - Carolina Panthers Select CB Jaycee Horn
PghPanther replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Look...........you control the line of scrimmage on offense you control the game.............you control the game you control the score..................you control the score you win. What is so hard to learn about this? The NFL is full of special ed front office staff and this organization is loaded with them. The GM says we draft the best athletes and fit them into our system? the Panther Oline is the problem..............period. See you at 6-11 next year........good luck with all the talent you can't win games with. -
Rhule's an "atta boy" coach to the media/public ............who never saw a pay check he didn't like........... I will admit he made an okay college coach ........but he would really be a great HS coach.

we were the only ones who wanted sam darnold lol

IF QBs are like searching for the perfect grilled steak then the Panthers got rid of a can of spam.......... .........and picked up a school cafeteria lunch grade sloppy joe sandwich instead. Oh the joy of it all. -
What Seahawks Fans Are Saying - Playoff Edition
PghPanther replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the MVP about the most valuable player......not necessarily the statistically best player? What I mean is that Cam would be the NFL's most valuable player to both the Panthers and any other team he would have played for based on what he is doing this year..............which is able to contribute to winning games and winning consistently throughout the year. If that is what an MVP is about then Russell Wilson falls short of that.............based on what I just outlined Carson Palmer is more of an MVP to his team and the league than Wilson. I don't see what the issue is here. Personally, I would like the voting of the MVP to take place after all playoffs games and the SB has been finished...................for instance if the Panthers were one and done and RW won the SB you could make a case then..............or if Carson Palmer won the SB then him........but if you have to base it on the regular season then Cam is the winner no doubt with a close second by Palmer and then Wilson.....maybe even Antonio Brown of the Steelers or AP with the Vikes......

what kind of O line do the Bucs have? I'm going to say something very unpopular here........but if we don't figure out how to pressure the QB we leave ourselves exposed to be shredded in the secondary.......injuries along with age and lack of speed is catching up with the D line and most importantly the secondary late in the season and hit critical mass starting in the second half of the Giants game..... Look at the last 6 quarters of how our defense played......... It going to be like starting over here.... Bucs 27.....gulp!.........Cats 24

Named after the admiral Isoroku Yammato who engineered the attack on Pearl Harbor........his first name means "57" in Japanese. He was given that name because his father was 57 yrs old when he was born. ...........and a 57 yard Stewart fumble recovery by Ed Dixon in week 4 against the Bucs sunk their ship while it kept the cats undefeated for the season......

A Giant Debacle - Straw Grasping in NYC
PghPanther replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is a path for talent to find itself right to the NFL with little or no regards to the social upbringing/maturity or the personal accountability, social responsibility and fiscal understanding of the athlete involved. Is it no surprise that far too many ex-athletes, especially in the NFL struggle to assimilate into society, avoid bankruptcy and manage violent behavior when they have been catered to groom their on field talents at all costs. It's time for the athlete to realize they are flesh and bone with such a short time in their life to play professionally...........and when that body fails them on the field they will have to face a life outside of football which many are ill prepare for...... Beckham is just one sad example of such behavior................. I love NFL football........but I also hate it was well..............much for the reasons stated above. Its a bittersweet contest for me to enjoy. -
Every team in the NFL is full of professionals and capable of playing at a high level...........well, maybe except for the Browns............ As a result the Panthers will need to focus on this game as much as they have any other. Its easy to get in trouble during a game with a mistake or two.........but the trend I see developing over this year that Cam's reads on passing plays is improving, while his passing is cleaner and more precise on designed plays........and the receiving core is starting to step up too. Our big offensive problem is setting up a screen that actually works............ The defense will come up big with a turnover or two on the Skins and as result....... I see Panthers winning.........27-17

I'm not a fan of either team but the Hawks actions in this game made me end up rooting for NE............amazing that could happen for me........I can't stand NE but now I feel they deserved that win and the coaching staff of the Hawks just realized you can't play sandlot pick up football luck and get away with it forever....... More than anything else...........its nice............VERY NICE to see some other team than the Panthers blow a play call at a critical team in a game...............and coming in the biggest game/moment of them all!!!...................

Superbowl over hyped to the point of nauseum
PghPanther replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I haven't heard or seen anything to overhype that game because I don't look for it..........not too hard to do......when it comes time to play the game then I'll turn on the TV set............that's it..................why all the fuss about claiming its overhyped? Do other things all week........... -
I found it interesting that an officials time out during the game held up play because they didn't have the right ball on the line of scrimmage for NE by the ball boy?.....................First time I ever saw that in a game. Does anyone remember when NE won a playoff game with a snow plow clearing the ground for the FG kicker to have a clean kick.......but that plow was no where to be found for the opposing team when they had to kick a FG.

Carolina Panther card/memorbilla/auto's collectors...
PghPanther replied to jasonluckydog's topic in Carolina Panthers
You collectors might be interested in this story.....................I have an aunt that was an airline flight attendant in the early 60's........she happened to be selected as one of the charter flight attendants that was on the flight for the Beatles first visit to America and their return trip. On the way over she got a PR press photo taken of her with all four Beatles surround her along with manager Brian Epstein. the Press guy developed it and gave it to her.........in a large print. On the return flight everyone signed it for her..................she has lithographs of it but the original is secured in a bank security box Note a bad collectors piece? She also has many athletes from that time including Jim Brown and Johnny Unitas. -
