    Beat us by repeatedly headshotting Cam with no flags. Not being called offsides on our two missed field goals. The Cotchery catch. All of that would have changed the game. The refs didn’t like Cam and let us know it by hand holding Peyton Manning into the sunset.

    The only reason Darnold looked competent last year in the beginning is he because he got all of the reps in TC with the scripted plays. The team was also playing with enthusiasm and a healthy CMC. As soon as he faced adversity and had to adjust he got destroyed and embarrassed.

    I thought 2010 was a set up for Matt Moore. He was the starter but Fox never liked the guy fully because he wasn’t all rah rah like Delhomme. They were looking for every opportunity to pull him and play Clausen. Matt was clearly a better player though but he wasn’t given any kind of leash to grow or make any mistakes.

    Chubba could be a really solid fringe starter though with another year on his belt. The offense really should have all of the core and peripheral pieces this year. Just need a QB to step up.

    I mean the defense breaks when the offense consistently can’t score and sustain drives. Run D was ass though for the most part.

    All we really need to do is change the silver helmets from a gloss to a matte finish and it would look pretty modern yet still classic panthers.

    That’s pretty sick. Id also like to see us try matte silver instead of the standard gloss silver helmet. That would make a nice update .

    Cut his ass and bring back Cam to compete with Baker.

    That’s 100% what happened. I wouldn’t even put it past being a subconscious biased against Cam and history of the game at the time and the whole “good ole boy” mentality.

    Id feel better about it if we just resigned Cam and gave him a full offseason with the team. That's a bigger pay off then Baker's potential in my opinion. But Baker is without a doubt better than Darnold and has much better composure in the pocket.

    I actually like his attitude. He's got a chip on his shoulder coming here which is good and is much better than Darnold on a baseline level. What i don't like though is that it seems he relies pretty heavily on play action. It remains to be seen that he can slice and dice.

    That is ultimately true. A healthy Baker would make us competitive immediately. Another below 7-9 year and Rhule's gonna be gone. As dumb as Rhule can be I dont think he's really wanting to bet his career on Sam Darnold if he doesn't have to.

    Not if they install basic and universal concepts in plays for Cam to take advantage of in his first start. That plays to strengths if a new starter. It would logically die down when said player has to learn a new offense with a poo line and bad play calling.

    The Rams PI was the one instance of karma that didn’t go NO’s way. They deserved it. Refs have played storymode for the Saints for 15 years.
