  1. Because everyone other than Hurney knew he wasn't going to ever be a legit NFL QB before the pick was even made. This message board was laughing about how terrible a pick it was going to be at 100, because it was already known he was going to be the pick there.
  2. What's the worst that can happen? He ends up getting cut. What's the best that can happen? We end up with another QB capable of starting on a rookie contract. There is literally nothing to lose by trying to develop him. Him being successful only makes the team better.
  3. It makes sense after spending a 3rd on him last year. If he's hot garbage in camp and preseason it's not like Eason is going to be a hot commodity anyway and we can likely get him back if we want.
  4. Can use some depth at LB if he sticks. Looks like he can tackle at least which is something we've been missing it seems like.
  5. If we were going to tank we would have kept Rhule and likely have had the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft.
  6. It's also worth noting that even CMC said he had never seen coaching like he got when he arrived in SF and pretty much everyone can agree CMC did not have issues with processing. I thought Gase was bad until Rhule handed him his beer. I truly have no idea what Sam can be as a QB. Wish him the best because he's certainly had some of the worst and still carried himself with respect. Well at least until he's playing us.
  7. They really need to help some of these guys with their financials. Making millions and then broke a couple years later.
  8. One of my neighbors as a kid was in a car wreck and had a pretty severe concussion. He was never the same afterwards. He ended up with all kinds of personality problems. TBIs are no joke and Burflict should have been tossed from the NFL immediately.
  9. Yes please. Hell, we can even toss in a crock pot of meatballs if it gets the deal done.
  10. A little post draft fun since there's not much happening until TC. Most of us, myself included, are pretty critical of our GMs and say we knew better. So here's an opportunity that we can revisit later to see who really did know better. We've seen how the draft fell so change our picks. Now's the opportunity to put your redraft on the record. Of course there's trades, etc. but for the sake of simplicity, I'm just going to keep our picks. So here's mine. (1)Anthony Richardson - If we're going to swing for the fences moving up to 1, I go for the highest ceiling. Ideally I'd like to trade down to 2 and pick up the 24' 1st they offered Chicago and still take AR, but I'll go with the pick here. (39) BJ Ojulari - We needed an edge rusher opposite Burns and one was right there for the taking. (93) Kelle Ringo - CB is a need too. Can't rely on DJ and JH to stay healthy and Henderson is a liability. We need help and here it is. (114) Chandler Zavala - Like this pick and see no need to change it. always invest in your offensive line. (132) Tyler Scott - Fast, athletic WR that will add to our WR room. (145) Antonio Johnson - Safety is a need and AJ has a similar style to Chinn if we can't end up keeping him. That's what I'd do on a draft redo. The positions taken actually stay the same, but who and where is obviously different. So who's your picks? Who's going to be worth picking and who isn't? Obviously I'm going to support all our current picks and BY is our QB. Just a little something to do while we wait.
  11. Whether he makes it or not, that's a father son moment that's really special. Gets ya in the feels a little bit.
  12. This draft feels like a swing for the fences. Aside from BY and Zavala, this draft feels very reactionary. Reaches for upside when solid talent at a position of need is available. Hard to say what it's going to end up being but it feels like it's going to be A+ or F in 3 years.
  13. Genuine question. How is Peoples in the passing game? Don’t know much about him.
  14. He turned that 1 play against Michigan into a high paying, overrated career.
  15. Atlanta looks to be setting up to drop a rookie QB into a very good offense and succeed.
  16. Was hoping we might be able to snag him as an UDFA.
