  1. You'd give up multiple 1st round picks for a player who may wind up on the Exempt list (eating our cap but can't play) and then say "it is what it is?" Only way any team trades for Watson is if the return is all conditional on him being able to play (not much precedent for this in the NFL with superstar players and legal issues), or the team gets assurances from the league that with the known info he wouldn't be suspended or put on exempt list (aka, not happening. league will adjust on the fly as needed depending on media/general public uproar if he is activated, etc.).
  2. All these reports are 100% coming from the Texans trying to drive up his value and market to get rid of him before the deadline. Miami appears to be the only team actually interested in acquiring him right now and even then I kinda doubt they do trade for him before the deadline. Just too much uncertainty and Texans asking price has been high (rightfully so as they don't want to give away an MVP caliber QB for nothing, even with his off field issues).
  3. Jets also beat the Titans. The NFL is just weird. The Giants are worse than the Jets too if you ask me.
  4. I'm gonna go ahead and say hell no. Not even Luka. Hornets have the best young player in the whole damn league if you ask me.
  5. His stats were good, but he didn't really pass the eye test. Our worst lineups all night included Martin, Oubre and Plumlee, none of which who were good. Ish Smith was phenomenal though, was surprised to see him play so well as I had no expectations for him.
  6. I friggin love LaMelo Ball. Dude is gonna be a multiple time MVP and bring at least 1 championship to Charlotte, you can just tell with this guy. Panthers may suck but Hornets and Canes are playoff teams.
  7. Zane has found a groove here, no reason at this point to take a chance on a guy who just got cut for missing kicks and being unreliable...
  8. It's hardly a "huge" extension. Short term and the money isn't insane or anything. Also Marshall got beat out by Zylstra recently, he really hasn't shown enough at all yet to be counted on. Robby has been trash this year but he was phenomenal last year. I think he'll turn it around. And if not, criticizing the contract is more of a hindsight 20/20 deal. Robby was a #1 WR with the Jets and a great 1b for us last year. He deserved that contract.
  9. Yeah before this year he was never known for drops, but it has been a trend so far this year, not just yesterday. He's had at least 1 drop in every game except the Jets game where he only had like 2 targets. yesterday was an absolute disaster from him, even with the late TD catch.
  10. Sam had like 10 seconds on the first play, and multiple guys open and he threw a pick. The whole team sucked, Sam included. I don't feel bad for any of them.
  11. NFLPA is an absolute joke. If they actually cared about the players' interests, there would be no football as long as turf fields and TNF exist.
  12. Yes. They are absolutely terrible. Significantly worse than us and any of the teams we've lost to this year.
  13. Teddy in the 1st TB game last year was worse than any Darnold performance so far this year.
  14. The thing is, my comment in that thread at the time was entirely sarcastic. Yet the irony is that it's actually true. Back in 2018 with every loss we said "oh well we'll win again next week and still make wild card" until it was week 17 and we had lost 7 straight.
  15. This is the NFL, it's win or fug off. Only 17 games, you can't afford to drop games to crappy teams like we have the last 2 weeks.
  16. Seriously, take it the fug back. This is Panthers football and we all know it. Always has been and always will be.
  17. I've been as big a fan of Rhule as anyone here but frankly these losses have been downright embarrassing and unacceptable for a team with our talent. Constantly shooting ourselves in the foot throughout every single phase of the game is entirely on the coaching staff. If it were just 1 player here and there making mistakes ok, but it's been numerous players on O, D and STs, for multiple games now. We got lucky to hang on against a couple shitty teams when we made unacceptable 2nd half mistakes, and lost to 2 teams we easily should've beaten. Super Bowl caliber NFL head coaches don't have this crap happen consistently like this. Rivera-esque head coaches have this crap happen consistently. Tepper has been quoted saying it takes time to build a program, 5 years, blah blah blah. But fact of the matter is when you have disturbing trends like this, those won't go away in 2-3 years, those years will just be wasted. We saw it with Rivera. I'm sure Tepper is losing his patience too after seeing his team blow away good starts to the season in every year he's owned the team. Rhule and company badly need to turn it around ala Rivera in 2013 otherwise we need to let Fitterer pick his own coaching staff.
  18. My God we are so lucky that the Vikings are their own worst enemies just like we are.
  19. Burns should be a top 5 player in the league but he pulls poo like this every fuging game multiple times. WTF is wrong with him
  20. Both these teams are so laughably bad. Hope we can win though, maybe getting McCaffrey back and Gilmore one day can actually help turn our season around.
  21. DJ is not a franchise receiver and should not be handed a top 5 WR contract. Has absolutely zero killer instinct.
  22. Can we drop both these fuging ideas. One is under investigation for multiple sexual assaults and the other can’t throw the damn ball any more. Just stop
  23. Who would’ve thought Ian Thomas would be our best offensive player today?
