  1. The national talking heads are regurgitating the same argument. They don’t care what moves we have made to improve. Until the Panthers start winning, the narrative will be the same. One of the most underrated improvements made was the upgrade in assistant coaches. That alone can make a huge difference. I don’t know if Mayfield is going to be the answer, but if he plays like the 2000 version, we have a chance to be vastly improved, especially if CMC stays on the field.
  2. I’m willing to bet that defense will be better if the offense can control the ball. There is talent on the defensive side of the ball, but if your offense goes 3 and out constantly, no defense of going to hold up.
  3. @4Corners Is my favorite poster and is a great guy!
  4. You are saying the O stunk because of the defense? mmmK
  5. The putrid offense made things incredibly difficult for our defense. If we can run the ball and stay on the field, the defense will have a chance.
  6. Please note that I liked this post. I am trying to extend an olive branch. Have a good day, sir.
  7. Jonathan has been a Panthers fan for several years. This was all a business decision.
  8. JA is a friend of mine and I will miss him covering the Panthers, but I am happy for him.
  9. I used to go to TC when they ran 2-a-days. That was a ton of fun. I don't blame them for stopping that, but it was cool from a fans perspective who was travelling to watch TC.
  10. Granted, I did not watch enough games, but would we not be better off getting a top notch center and then bringing in a forward who can shoot and be more dynamic?
  11. Anyone who is being honest with themselves has to admit, "no".
  12. I see your argument, but Mayfield had a better year than Darnold by quite a bit, all while being injured for a majority of the year. I’d get Mayfield and dump Darnold. Let MC develop behind Mayfield. Mayfield has actually seen success in the NFL. Darnold hasn’t.
  13. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to see Corral. I just don’t see Fitt and Rhule rolling with Darnold or a rookie in what might be their final go-round.
  14. This is not going to happen with a coach/GM that are on a short leash.
  15. Baker is not a world beater, but he has done significantly better than Darnold when healthy. He is probably not the long term answer, but if you think you can upgrade for the coming season, you do so. Corral needs to be able to develop slowly.
  16. If that is the case, he needs more reps in practice, not less. If Mayfield comes in, Darnold needs to go.
  17. "A QB you can win with, not a QB you win because of." I can live with that.
  18. I don't think anyone on this team has earned a day off for mini-camp. Many of them took the bulk of the season off last year. Everyone needs as many reps as they can get.
  19. So, throw in the towel before the season starts? Good thing the Bengals, coming off a bad season the year before, did not do that last year. They were coming off 5 straight losing seasons, actually. If the Panthers get a break at QB with Mayfield, Garapollo, an improved Darnold, or an overachieving Corral, the team could make the playoffs. You don’t twirl in the towel at this point.
