  1. How does this un-retiring work when someone was under contract? Do they have to sit out a year and then they’re a FA?
  2. I’ve seen some Stroud proponents say they’d be ok with a Young selection, but I’ve also seen some saying they’ll be done with the team for it. Those are those posters I was referring to. I also will be excited with either. I just think we’d regret passing on Young the most.
  3. Some of you are setting yourselves up to be devastated if we select Young. CJ is bigger Young is better
  4. I’m used to references of a War Room in the NFL being the room used on draft night. There’s no way this decision isn’t made before draft night.
  5. On scale with his opponents, Bryce is similar to Steph Curry. Have you seen football players stand beside shooting guards or bigger? Tracy McGrady vs Chad Ochocinco
  6. If we find a franchise QB, adding the 2025 1st to the package we gave up would still easily be worth it.
  7. I think it has more to do with the nearly $4mil check Tepper would have to write at signing.
  8. I don't feel like we traded away our future. It feels like we invested in our future (acquiring a franchise QB) without giving up too much. The 2025 1st will hit when we're potentially one or two pieces away. We have a lot of our future locked up or looking good right now.
  9. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Young vs Stroud debate may rage on for years following draft night.
  10. At least he looks to have learned from it. I'll give him props for that after a big mistake early in his ownership.
  11. Our front office is playing this to perfection for the NFL, and it keeps us in the news.
  12. Seems like his coach and teammates love him. Maybe we bring him in as UDFA.
  13. I agree it should be a part of the discussion. Every attribute of each draft pick should be. I’ve just reached the conclusion that his talent is worth the risk.
  14. I’ve stated the whole time it should be considered just as Reich describes. I disagree with the idea it should eliminate him from #1 discussion which is the way it’s portrayed by many here. I think the other traits you mentioned are that good. I have a feeling Reich and Fitt agree, but we’ll be in good shape either way.
  15. Trying to describe how some helicopter fans thinking Bryce is some fragile infant are being foolish. I’ve literally seen posts on here saying they’ll hold their breath when Bryce is being tackled. lol Who’s being fragile? You and others who want us to draft out of fear.
  16. I like and can see where you’re coming from with that metaphor, but I’ll counter with another. Bryce is like a first child learning to walk. It feels like you had to protect them from everything and hold your breath in close calls. Sure, they took some hard falls and maybe there was an occasional injury, but in the end they weren’t as fragile as it seemed. Young people are built to withstand a lot, and Bryce is a 21 yo athlete with more lean muscle mass than 44 yo Tom Brady who went through NFL seasons fine.
  17. You are exactly what you describe. I poo posts I don’t agree with and pie even more posts that I like. We don’t agree much on this topic. You will rarely see me say something negative about Stroud to boost up Young, bc I do like Stroud. Can’t say the same for you about Young.
  18. I don't think it can be overlooked that Ravens coaches may think he quit on them in the playoffs last year. Coaches don't appreciate that kind of mentality and self-before-team approach. Other coaching staffs saw what went down as well.
  19. Because he's been assured he's going in the top two. I honestly don't know why he even threw. Probably just to help give his skill guys some looks from NFL teams.
  20. I'm not failing to understand. Most bigger kids in youth football will be able to throw the ball harder/further due to their advanced physical development. If a youth football coach sees a short, skinny kid come in and throw with the talent and ability of Bryce Young, the big kid will be headed to the bench. My son is not the biggest kid on his team, but he has been the starting QB the last two years at 7 & 8 years old. He's in that position because he has the strongest arm on the team and best awareness for the position. Bryce isn't suffering in those areas.
  21. and I'm agreeing with you that Bryce's size and skill set is unique for NFL QBs. OP's point wasn't that Bryce is less likely to be injured. It's more that we have no evidence that Bryce will be more plagued by injuries than Stroud over his career. It's impossible to predict so take the best player.
  22. No, I'm just disagreeing with those making up imaginary weights for Bryce despite the facts shown on the scale and the words of one of his well-respected trainers. Here's how I've seen it go down since we traded up... "Will Bryce be over 5'9?" <Bryce measures in at 5'10"> "Ok, well his frame is too small though. Will he even weigh 185?" <Bryce weighs in at 204> "Ok, but he was wearing a hoodie and didn't participate. He must have drank 10+ bottles of water before." It gets old and annoying to see the goal posts shift so much. I wish Stroud fans would just admit they like him more and move along. That's fine. He's a good option at QB. I'd tip my hat and move on as well. Just stop with the exaggerations. Yes, Bryce is small. No, it hasn't affected his performance to date. Those of you thinking his size is such a big deal are going against the majority of NFL front offices that have decided he won't last much past the #2 overall pick.
  23. My comment was directed to this from you: "Again most QBs are going to fall into the 6'2" and over group so I think the data is going to be heavily skewed." I was agreeing that the data is skewed. Now you don't want it to be for this article?
  24. He was likely one of the smallest in college too, right? Hold on a sec while I go google how that worked out for him.
