  1. I like this RB class a lot. It's deep with talent. Really no reason not to add to the mix. I am flexible bout style of back though. I would like to see a power back but willing to just play the board and take best RB on the board. Chuba has played well considering the situations we put him in. The stigma of being drafted by Rhule and more damning "rhules wifey" liked him. Having to replace CMC reps. All that and the way the Cowboys put lots of reps on him in college. He has done extremely well in spite of some less than ideal situations. That said I do think we could find a complement to Miles and Chuba in this draft and possible replacement for Chuba.
  2. My money is on this guy to be who. Fitterer was talking bout.
  3. If Houston gives us that 12th pick and maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick would be interesting. 2. QB maybe Richardson? Whoever is left from the coin flip decision between Young and Stround? 12. This is new. Who here? Top Tier stuff. Without the restriction of having to take QB like the last pick. now we can go BPA in the top 15. 39. The debate goes on. The addition of the 12th makes this a great situation. Where we can BPA again or go need. Flexibility could be the mark of this draft.
  4. I like this one a lot. Got back up. plans for our rehabbing athletes So we don't have to "rush" DJ back we pair Horn with another new school safety sized CB in Rush. O Cyrus can play either guard position in place of Corbett or BC. Him beside Icky would sicky. Him beside Moton would also be nasty. Steen can be groomed as the RT of the future. This would instantly make our line a bit bigger and more physical in the future. O Cyrus is actually a really good pass protector at his size too. Then you have Isaiah. He is one of my favorite under the radar picks. At 265 or so he instantly becomes our most traditionally sized ED/ OLB. At 145 i would pick over this deep and talented RB class with a physical North/$outh type goal line vulture in mind. Or a WR that can play S/T.
  5. I was thinking the same. Just ran a mock and the offensive talent available at 39 was crazy. Mayer, Washington, Kincaid, Zay, O Cyrus, and Gibbs all there. Crazy. I don't see that many dropping. Instead of a run of defense that obviously happened in this mock or a run on offense that dwindles this enticing group. I think it will be a 60/40 split. Leaning towards mostly offense.
  6. Unless the talent at 39 is just that special. Like. O Cyrus, Jack Campbell, Zay, BJ etc we could likely trade. 45 to 65 is a sneaky area that could be prime spot to add two valuable players instead of just one at 39.
  7. If he makes it to us. O is a definite option. As much as I like the upside of his I think with Campen we can find a cheaper diamond in the rough later.
  8. We will be taking a OL if the draft falls that way. Could be early could be late. My money is on that 114 pick. I don't think Chandler will make it that far though. Bradford is in play there. 1. CJ 39. DJ Turner 93. DJ Johnson 114. Best OL or a skill guy RB, TE or WR. Nose tackle, Skill if OL is the 114 and another corner are options rest of way.
  9. Patrick Bateman from American Psycho is who he reminds me of. Mayonnaise in coffee, obsession with fitness, vapid girl friend, and those dead eyes.
  10. This. We giving TMJ and others a trail run with competent coaching and hopefully a rookie QB that adjusts quickly. If they earn a new contract yaah, if not we hit FA and the draft next year targeting WR's. I keep hearing we need to have a guy for the QB to develop with for four years as a reason to go TE or WR early this year. Not the way I see it. Veterans are better to have for the first year or even two then a more refined QB can take full advantage of a rookie WR and guide him a bit. There are two killer TE's in the 24 draft. One guy is basically a more athletic Mayer out of Michigan I think and the other is the receiving threat that kept Washington behind him for targets. Also just like this year there will be climbers who make a name for themselves. Then you have a WR class that is likely taller and more star studded. Rome wasn't built in a day y'all.
  11. We need a contingency plan in case Jackson is not ready. I like Julius Brents, Darius Rush, and DJ Turner at that 39th pick if we don't go EDGE or ILB
  12. In the draft I would like to see two style of players added. I think we want to add a bigger edge rusher than the options we have now on the roster. Barno, Haynes, Luvu and Burns are all smaller speed rushers. In free agency Clowney could work. Basically someone around 260 with some speed but with bull rush ability. Then similar situation inside. Shaq,Luvu, Smith, Chinn and the FA all are smaller so on obvious running downs a thumper like Noah or Jack to move Luvu out to OLB and hold down the middle would be a thought. On passing downs I could see Shaq and Luvu inside with Barno and Burns speed rushing the passer. But on 3rd and shorts it would be nice to have Chinn playing the nickle and Smith and a bigger rookie inside and Burns paired with a bigger OLB across from him.
  13. Those positions are the meat and potatoes of this draft. I've been pushing hard against a few folks on here that prefer a WR or TE at that 39th pick. The options and values point to CB or Edge in the 2nd. This draft guide sounds awesome.
  14. Campbell. They both good prospects but Campbell is Luke approved.
  15. NT in a 4-3 maybe. I also thought Tuttle was a bit light. I like Tuttle as a DE too.
  16. I thought same thing. I think they gonna be doing a lot of workshop variations of lineups on the the front to see what works. I'm gonna let the mad scientist Envero work and put the right guys in the right place. Honestly we piecing it together I doubt the future at NT in 3 years is on the roster right now.
  17. Another sneaky pick up. If he is healthy and ready to go could give us nice minutes rotating in behind Tuttle. Always bet on the big Islanders. They built different.
  18. Brown, Chinn, and Burns are the obvious answers. But three players i expect to thrive with the new coach are Barno, Horn and Luvu. Luvu and Horn are smart instinctive players who should kill it this year. Barno is similar to Burns as a rookie undersized( for a 4-3) but a fast and dangerous pass rusher. If we can add in upcoming years another young corner, ILB, NT and another 3-4 DE the defense is pretty much set up to be a dynasty. Scary thing is with some luck and skill we could do most of that this year. Within two offseasons this defense will be nasty.
  19. Hell of a rollercoaster ride. At 9 I had resigned myself to not getting a qb. Maybe Hooker at 39 or that 60 something pick we had. The we went big and moved up. At that point I was all about Young. Just seasoned and NFL ready I thought. But the combine happened and Stround and AR looked so good in different ways and have leaned into Stround since then. Levis was never on my radar except if we had stayed at 9 and he slipped or if we had just traded up with Arizona. I'm now firmly on the Stround bandwagon. He seems like a Reich guy. AR is still a wildcard but I really think he should have stayed in school one more year and built on his resume a bit. He did that through the combine obviously but I would like more tape and some bigger wins.
  20. The new coach in houston and their upcoming draft class could turn it around but I wouldn't worry their FO will end up firing Demarco too early and crap the bed.
  21. yep. Reminds me of a boy named SUE by Johnny cash. It's a good thing he like 6'4" and right at 300lbs.
