  1. 3rd day made me a little more comfortable with the first 2. Horn I'm warming up to. Would have took Slater in the first. And JOK or Moehrig in the 2nd. OR.. even Slater then doubled down with Jenkins or Randunz. I just dont fully get the logic but it's not my job to. Think we could have went down 3-4 spots and still grabbed our db. I think Jaycee is to offset Pitts. And the Marshall Jr pick is namely for 2022, as of now he's probably 4th on the depth chart. I will say this though, it is ALOT of "future" potential in this haul. The fan in me says we may have walked away with 5-6 future starters if they reach that potential. In the real world, we're probably looking at 3.
  2. I see our new OT already taking player spots.... foreshadowing perhaps... Or OT is in the wrong spot... Either way we find out. Lol, how does this happen.
  3. This dude is disciplined in his technique. The patience is crazy. He's not a ball hawk but he's moldable. Senior bowl coaching coming in handy I see.
  4. JOK.. If we go Safety.. Andre Cisco in the 3rd
  5. Jenkins, Andre Cisco, Freiermuth, Holland.. Round 2: Is screaming DT or FS for some reason... OT is what the majority want
  6. Physically Talented: Cam He was the prototype athlete, he probably could have played any offensive position (minus oline) and excelled imo. QB, RB, TE, and/or WR. Not to mention on a couple spots on a 3-4 defense..maybe not starter level though. As a QB in his prime... his speed, toughness, and elusiveness are miles ahead of Allen. Arm strength might be pretty close though. Fastest: Vick. That speed was basically like having Donte Jackson behind center.
  7. Only thing I'd be "upset" about is anybody else picked if "Sewell, Pitts or Chase" are still available. Sewell: Tackles our Oline problem Pitts: Tackles our redzone problem Chase: If you thought last year was good with DJ, Robbie and Samuel lol. At the same time, whoever picked is apart of the family so that bitterness would only last around 24 hours. Atleast until the 2nd round, where I'd have another chance to experience the same dissatisfaction again.
  8. I just cant wrap my head around it... just a couple of years ago.. Greg Little: In 311 snaps AT LT IN THE SEC allowed only 4 pressures. Had a pass blocking efficiency rating of 97.7 and in his college career has only 32 hurries out of 2,179 snaps. He gets to the Combine and drastically underperforms. Enters the NFL and looks like a worse version of Byron Bell. I think they've tried him at guard also.... and he looked as equally bad. Maybe it clicks in Year 3 ... results so far aren't looking promising. And to think we traded up for this guy. THIS GUY would have been our first round pick if Burns wasn't selected. Disappointment.
  9. This x10!!!! I'm not a fan of seeing this guy in the division. I've been saying Jeremiah was the best LB in this draft while most were stuck on Parsons. I think it's more likely Washington trades up for a QB (with Detriot) and the Steelers get JOK/Shazier 2.0.
  10. That's the thing...we just happened to be in the position to get either: #4-5: QB #1-2: LT #1: OG or OC #1:LB or DT #1:RB or TE #1:FS or SS # 1-2: WR Common Logic would say select one of the "1's" unless the # 2-4 qb falls. I still believe if Fields gets past ATL he'll be there when we pick and thatll ultimately be our selection unless someone trades infront of us. IMO, the Falcons might suprise us all and pick up Pitts. I could very well see that scenario panning out.
  11. True !!! ... Scheme is everything. That's another reason I wasnt that moved by the Erving from Dallas signing. I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure the Cowboys run a zone blocking scheme as well. Dealing with this class I think majority of who I listed would convert successfully just based off their mobile and athletic ability.. Sewell and Vera Tucker imo could compete if not out perform Slater. I'd agree he has the heads up on the rest of that group. But right under Slater you still have Darrisaw and maybe Cosmi. If not 5 then def 4 could start for us right now. Assuming they all have the proper coordination.. if they lack technique we can all hope the right coaching can get that line.
  12. If we go corner all eyes on Asante Samuel Jr in the 2nd. As far as Pitts... If he's not there and we had to go TE.. Pat Freirmuth would be a very solid pickup...just not @ pick # 8. In that same situation at tackle... it depends on what we're doing with Moton. If they are preparing to shift him left then that opens quite a bit of moves. You dont have to be a 1st rounder to be good tackle. OT is deep luckily.. Sewell, Slater, Darrisaw, Cosmi, Jenkins, Eichenberg, Christensen, Radunz(high upside project), Trey Smith, AVT etc. 5 of the above could step in day one and start. To get back to the topic though: If Pitts, Slater and Sewell were gone the pick at BPA would be Chase far before Horn. Joe Brady is already familiar with the kid too. I just cant see him falling past the Lions in any scenario. Then again I never would have expected Henry Ruggs to be the first WR off the board last year. You just never know.
  13. I may be in the minority but Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is my fav lb of the class. Probably because I would just LOVE to see the havoc of Shaq-Denzel-JOK with Chinn roaming behind them. I'm a fan of physicality...aggressive but not stupid physicality. Been missing that since TD and Mike Mitchell were on the field together. Parson however would be better in our scheme. His blitz ability and his run defense would mesh well. I do think he'll be highly effective wherever he lands.
  14. IF only we had the video of this !!!!!!
  15. Well in theory... building a good enough D got The Golden Calf of Bristol to the playoffs. And sadly was the reason our oline dissolved in SB50. I think its all Rhule. Honestly dont think we had a choice with how bad our defense was in Ron's last year. Now if you add in a new GM that probably still dreams about the Legion of Boom and our offseason moves before & after he got here begin to make even more sense. I'd like to think it's mainly Rhule though. One thing is certain: The type of player they preference. Physical, fast, position switchable. We are silently building a hard hitting hybrid defense. But I do expect this to be a split draft. 3 on offense 3 on defense. Probably OT, OG/C, and a late WR since the class is so deep. You could probably throw in Safety (Andre Cisco, Richie Grant), CB (Jevon Holland [Safety/CB], Samuel Jr, Farley) and a DT late since we're thin there. Along with 8 Udfas. Side note since we're on Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah ...I don't want to see this guy in our division.
  16. Good question... and I'm leaning towards they'd pick him him. If Sewell or Pitts are still there they would be BPA but I get the impression Tepper REALLY needs to find his QB of the future by any means.
  17. I watched his highlights from last season and guy was running for his life about 80% of the time. Conclusion: Either his line was trash or he does his best work improvising (there was one play iirc he rolled out to the left and threw his receiver open with his right against the 49ers. very impressive. Might be a combination of the two. He does take more chances then Teddy and will probably make quite a few INT's but im slowly coming around to him. What other choice do we have right now. Also, I just have this funny feeling that Fields will still be on the board when we pick at 8.
  18. If he's borderline top 10 at his position, what other players can we say that about? McCaffrey, Moton.... (insert noone).. I dont think anyone called him a generational All-Pro.. BUT you have to give the man his credit. Especially when you factor in the amount of receptions. Now imagine his numbers if he had Brees and we actively force fed him the ball ...i.e.. Michael Thomas who had 149 receptions for 1725 yds in his best year. For comparison. Moore had 66 receptions for 1139 yards last year alone.
  19. Like I said in another thread If we were able to land Sewell at 8 and Jenkins in the 2nd..our line would potentially be a strength again. If Jenkins is gone, maybe even Trey Smith in the 3rd if his medicals drop his stock. LT:Sewell LG: Jenkins or Smith Paradis (improved last season but now possibly has competition in Erving: All-ACC @ C in college, and Elfien: Rimington Award Winner @ C in college). I honestly think they were both brought in with the intentions of spot duty at guard in 2021 with one replacing Paradis in 2022. RG: Miller/Daley/Elfien/Erving LT: Moton Draft is deep at offensive line. We could possibly walk away with 2 day one starters within the first three rounds. If it was ever a year to go all out on O-line, this is the time. Darnold is being put in an optimal position to succeed. Joe Brady (this project will also say alot about him)... a defense I expect to be suprising good..two receivers who had over 1000 yards last year.. David Moore in the slot.. and an elite rb. Not to mention Dan Arnold as underrated as he may be. Darnold just missing the protection and coaching. If he fails, at the very least we'd have the majority of the peices in play & cap space to go after whoever we think can get us back to double digit wins.
  20. "IF" we are to continue our streak with going defense and taking into consideration what I think our scheme might be. If we traded down... I'd think we were targeting: Trevon Moehrig Jaelan Phillips Caleb Farley All those fit what we do and the traits we seem to look for. If we had to go CB, I'd rather have Horn/Farley over Surtain.
  21. Something is telling me he will either be: First in line: New England/Saints Second: Rams, Titans, Seahawks, Vikings Sleeper: Redskins I have to admit him in New England would be interesting. Seems like a Belichick move. Him getting trade permission before the Donald signing says a lot about how he was viewed by the organization. Also makes me think we may STILL pick a QB at #8, but I could very well be reaching. I just don't know how you pass up Sewell if he is there. Hell if we could come out of this draft with Sewell AND Tevin Jenkins our Oline would suddenly become nasty.
  22. Since Darnold is now our QB.. You almost have to go Sewell or Slater. With protection imo he'll do very well here. And I've never been a fan of the guy. Without protection, it'll be a 6 win season. OT will be addressed between Round 1 or Round 2. Cam Erving is not going to be our blindside starter. Both him and Eifen will be plugged in a guard with one eventually taking Paradis's spot at center once he's gone. Oddly enough with our current roster we're about 3 starters away from suprising alot of people. LT, Cb, and FS. With the amount of $$ we have next offseason, that Rhule third year habit should come true. Or maybe I'm too optimistic.
  23. He hot benched for Hartsfield??? ... I must have missed that briefing smh.. well, he did get a prove it deal with the Lions today. We really need CB help lol. And I refuse to believe what's left out there couldnt compete with Pride, but I've been wrong before.
