I've been quite surprised by the lack of spread in the shotgun. So many bootlegs misdirects behind an awful OL with trips right.

Very Discouraged By Rhule and His Comments After the Game
davos replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been a very strong supporter of Rhule but my faith in him and his coaching abilities is starting to wane a tad. Straight up love how they've built the defense and offensive weapons, but then you look at the playcalling, lack of pro-level chess playing w/gameplans, OL and QB, it is just really suspect. He's not looking hot but is not done. Now we'll see how they retool after acting a bit cocky these past few weeks a bit too soon -
Stayed sober for the games today so some sober thoughts: Under Rhule's regime, there is one I see clear as day. Beyond playcalling or calling out one or two guys like *cough* Miller, Paradis, Daley, Sam, etc. We just leave so many points off the board. We can't fall on a loose ball for a defensive TD, we can't capitalize on a post-safety drive, we continuously, every game, stall out in the worst ways possible at the most inopportune times. Even when the plays go in our favor. A player jukes in the wrong direction, Sam throws for a first but there's a deep TD, etc. etc. Bottom line; the OC-OL-QB combination we have is not working. Not saying to change all immediately, let's give Sam and Brady some more time, BUT if they're being all aggressive, mortgaging picks next year, and eyeing the playoffs, this needs to get fixed pronto. Fit and Rhule seem too "with it" to miss this. If they don't make player adjustments on the line or try something different with our offensive scheme, then I'm going to be officially more on the negative side with Rhule. I like the guy, but today, coming off 1.5 weeks was just BAD. We come out of halftimes flat, and just don't hit on our opportunities throughout these games. You can see what these guys could be in flashes but then we just leave stuff sitting there. We just don't capitalize.

Rhule/Fitterer thought this was a NFL caliber offensive line.

It's frustrating having a coach and GM that seem to be doing all the right things minus two of the most important spots: OL & QB. Love that they've been able to build such a crazy good defense but the offense is a drag without CMC and it shouldn't be with the skill players we've got. -
Yep. Daley needs to be benched more than anyone.

The LG is getting manhandled
-
First 3 career touches: Rushing touchdown Huge 30 yard catch receiving touchdown I sense there’s many good things to come from this kid.
-
Yup. The Liberty kid and Carson Strong are the ones that I see really excelling in the college ranks. Strong is a bit like the QBs we've pursued w/Rhule but we may not need to take a gander with Sam really showing well. Here's to it hopefully continuing well.

Well it could certainly be an improvement

Anyone else got a bad feeling about this Eagles game?

They have a decent OL even with Lane out. Have always had a good interior D since they drafted Cox. But, their offense is highly suspect. Hurts is hot/cold, their WRs and RBs are all over the map. On defense, I'm honestly unsure but looking online, they're middle of the pack on the passing D side and the worst run defense in the league. I'd like to think this is a big game from our running attack with CMC or not, and I'd like to see Marshall and Robby get more looks against a pretty meh secondary unit. -
I don't know, I'm more of a negroni guy with some French gin. Its gentleman's cousin in the Boulevardier is a once in a while chest hair tingler to get the juices flowing.

Keith Taylor, TPJ , & STO have some helluva amazing talent to get mentored by and/or learn from.
-
Fitterer better be on the phone with the Packers.

Bakhtiari is one of the better LTs in the league at full health, top-5. They’re not trading him. -
I think Jackson stays, and there's a long shot if we make a run with Gilmore playing well, we could be looking at re-signing him (dependent on mutual interest to stay)
-
Between Tepper, Rhule and Fit, we are the chin-less assassins
-
Wait I did leave someone out, didn't even include former all-pro Bouye. GOOD GAWD that's the Panthers music JR
-
Horn, Henderson, Gilmore, Jackson, Chinn, I mean, it is getting crazy the quality of athletes we have in the secondary. Am I forgetting anybody?
-
I would just put Brady at LT to see how he does. If it's not jiving, then LG and put Erving back outside him. Keep Moton at RT. Brown at RG. Ideal if it works out: Brady-Erving-Paradis-Brown-Moton backup plan: Erving-Brady-Paradis-Brown-Moton Daley & Scott should be backups if on an NFL roster. I was wrong with my Daley (if healthy) expectations. Next men up. Let's just see how the rooks are.

Meanwhile, over at that other expansion team...

The butt finger is the killer. Per those recent reports about Monday in the locker room, I'd say it's safe to say he's gone. No way that man is on the sidelines this weekend. Could be a forced leave/suspension with a following week's firing. -
Good thread; it's an interesting point. We can provide enough up front power with something that includes YGM (upon return), Fox, Brown & Daquan but the LBs as mentioned seem to get caught in blocks on the first level even when we weren't blitzing. Speedy and aggressive can get caught by the power and methodical. Fine line. And they were sneaky to blatant holding and getting away with it. Know thy officiating crew. The LB play was a bit frustrating with Shaq having his first meh to below average game this season. Overall, it's still a big void Luke and TD left. And our LB group needs the nasties to push the opposing OL. Just didn't happen. You win and lose in the trenches. Hope them come back thirsty against a makeshift but good OL in Philly. Honestly, it's another test against a more mid-tier OL.

Is no one gonna just chilled until next week? We got our socks kicked in…let’s see how this TEAM responds

I’ll be honest, Darnold doesn’t instill a ton of confidence but this season has been fun thus far. Cheers you f#cks

That TD throw was beautiful by Dak and he had good placement. Not a high percentage one and he was with it the whole time.
