  1. We should be getting Biz & Zeller off the books and carve some more space for a ~20-25 mil/yr guy. The end of Batum’s dead cash as well which set us back $9 mil this season. John Collins and Jarrett Allen being strong possibilities. Star level wise, that’s going to be a forced trade type scenario if it happens.
  2. Xavier Rhodes, Patrick Peterson, AJ Bouye, Kevin King, Artie Burns, there's some interesting options out there
  3. Given how amazing the last 2 draft classes have worked out and the overabundance of #3-5s in the league, we really shouldn't put too much stock into getting him back. Unless they really feel he's a critical part of the offense.
  4. So with Davis & Griffin having our interest, I suspect a CB signing could be in the near future. We're sniffing for a starter.
  5. Melo is carrying a team into the playoff/top-6 seed as a rookie. Melo easy. He's also single-handedly going to make a star want to come over to the QC to play with him (we can hope haha)
  6. Patriots are cray right now. They threw way too much money at Agholor & Kendrick Bourne.
  7. Davis was on my list. Pure outside starting corner with quickness. Interested in what corners we're targeting now. Wasn't really aware of this other guy if I'm being honest but it looks like he's been sneaky good the last 2 seasons.
  8. Wonder if we have a few DTs in the air and it’s why we cleared Kerr. Probs for a vet min-1.2/y contract at another spot to not overload DT
  9. I mean, we don't even know if the top tackles would be entertaining conversations with us. UFAs have options and preferences. Charlotte isn't always at the top. At least we've got some guys that are still in their 20s. Elflein, could be terrible but you never know.
  10. Elflein: 2020: 419 snaps, 1 penalty, 2 sacks allowed 2019: 919 snaps, 8 penalties, 6 sacks allowed (avg) 3 years, $6 mil guaranteed (2 mil/yr) Erving: 279 snaps, 1 sack allowed, 1 penalty in 2020. (banged up, didn't play the season) 589 snaps, 7 penalties, 5 sacks allowed in 2019 (meh) He's an average, decent signing. Nothing to be disappointed about at all, $8 mil guaranteed over 2 seasons is totally reasonable. - This is totally fine, these signings make complete sense in respect to what they've been saying.
  11. I mean, we're having focused signings on the OL. Right on par with the Miller signing last year. So we've got a good amount of guys signed on the line now. Also seeing us drafting 1 at minimum.
  12. I mean any guy who started 49 of 50 games played of their career must have shown something to remain a starter. This seems like a solid deal but yup, I take it with caution seeing the Jets fans reactions haha.
  13. I stand corrected, mixed up my Falcons receivers ha. I'm just saying they both present the same amount of bland and come from the same program. I don't take it as a notch against Jones, but it hides what he does/doesn't have.
  14. I don't see us carrying both Monk & Graham into next year. Whoever the team thinks that is, they should be looking to either get a big or a mid round 1st for him. Would love to somehow turn it into Bagley but we'd need to give up more and I don't want to blow this up. Vucevic is going to be too costly but Cliff does love Devonte. Maybe Graham+a Martin+future 1st for MBIII? Graham+Cody+1st for Vucevic?
  15. Hot damn, they're a good damn band. Super underrated. Brave Captain is a rager.
  16. That post you quoted is what gets me. I'm open to seeing the pros of Mac but he was never needed to carry the team; didn't have many "okay we need a TD here" type drives. It was a machine he was placed into and he's the exact same size as AJ McCarron. 6'3 215. And I don't see what more he really brings than AJ did when watching that tape. AJ was tossing it behind a great OL to Julio and look at his stats his last 2 college seasons. ~30 tds, single digit ints. And even when there's an exciting guy like Tua in that offense, you see what happens when they're brought outside. He was way more conservative of a QB than I thought he was and it's not like Miami has a bad offensive line. His risk is just as high as the raw, athletic guys and I'd much rather take the raw, athletic type. There are three huge traits that are hard to spot with college QBs: coachability, leadership & clutch gene. Those make or break these guys and it's really hard to spot in our positions. GMs/scouts/cpaches get a glimpse in interviews but that's the tricky thing to smell out of the position.
  17. I think an alternate here is a trade up to 5 for Lance or Fields. Miami is tricky. I mean, they've already got so much draft capital, so why trade back again? In conjunction with this, I think NYJ has the edge for Watson because I don't see HOU settling for the 3rd pick. They want their man of choosing. So the question is, would Miami trade back again for the remaining of Smith/Chase/Sewell/Slater/Parsons? Are they happy with Tua? They're such a wildcard.
  18. Joe Brady & Rhule were front and center for that workout. Maybs this is the guy folks. Would not be made at all. Lance or Fields would be super promising. R1 Lance/Fields QB R2 Cosmi/Leatherwood/Mayfield OT the rest--Offensive focus w/maybe a CB or DT
  19. Michael Davis CB out of LAC - 6'2 quality starting outside corner. Young at 26 and a ton of career ahead Jonnu Smith TE - Popular name to throw around but I'd really like to land this guy. As long as Brady's offense is needing it. Jaquiski Tartt S SF - Loved him in his draft, he's a bit close to what Chinn is but I just want him on the team. Could be another multi-positional guy in our 3-3-5/hybrid d Kelvin Beachum LT - We're super limited but he'd be a guy for a 2 year contract
  20. I'm not trying to dig it up right now but I remember Bradberry made pretty clear in a post-signing interview that we did try buthe didn't want a new contract with the Panthers/wanted to explore other options. Need guys that want to stay after that rookie deal. But yes, Bridgewater is annoying. Shaq is average. And they're not really doing much for us. It doesn't hurt us rolling with Shaq another year, his contract is like 15% more than it should've been. Teddy hurts though, hard to sugarcoat that but his contract isn't awful post-June 1st, just a lot of money thrown to nothing bc, well, he gone.
  21. So we converted their sal towards the cap to signing bonuses. We're not spreading out the contracts, just reallocating the now signing bonus to be spread over the remaining years. And Shaq isn't bad, when it was him and Carter the D wasn't that bad. He needs a guy helping elevate his play though. He's an average to sometimes above average LB. Not really upset but surprised that it looks like we're sticking w/Shaq. Saves us another year before worrying about LB again. We know what we get with him & this draft will be offense heavy.
  22. Well the sentiment of always looking makes sense. Doesn’t mean you reach, I think it’s more so if there’s a guy only remaining on your top block and it’s a QB, and then everyone else is in your block 2 or 3, you should do it. I think that’s why you see these Love, Jimmy G, Mallett, Cousins type picks. These teams look at their boards very technically come draft and there’s a reason they map it out and they’re landing in a scenario where the pick makes sense to that room. Risk being worth the reward as well.
  23. Yeaaap. We have a coach+GM+owner combo ready to find and agree on a guy for the future. And I think NYJ getting Watson is the deal. Even though HOU has made pretty awful moves, I just don’t see them wanting anything but pick 2 to get Wilson, some more picks and a young defensive talent which they have. But I also sense our desperation will culminate in a trade up to either pick 3, 5, or 6 to grab Justin Fields (priority 1) or Trey Lance at 5/6. I just don’t see us staying put, we’ll be aggressive with who we want. This just doesn’t seem like a situation where we see who falls, get Slater/top talent, then grab Mitch & a R2-3 QB like Mond. I mean, maybe? And I do think Mac is a first rounder but he’s just not what we need. It does us no good being stuck with a guy that presents such a bland option. He’s not dynamic enough.
