  1. Thibideaux is gonna get traded for peanuts, more than likely.
  2. I think the Giants may go Jordyn Tyson here. Which would be wild.
  3. Any one of these realistic targets, I'll be happy with in round 1: DT Kayden McDonald S Dillon Thieneman (I'm ok with him because he can play the slot and single high) OT Caleb Lomu I might rage if we draft: S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren (He's a box safety. We have plenty of those) TE Kenyon Sadiq (Tight end bust rate is sky high in the first) Kind of meh if we draft: - OT Blake Miller (Future right tackle starter. Not much to be excited about this year) - WR Omar Cooper (He's good, but receiver again?) - WR KC Concepcion (He's a second round talent, in my mind)
  4. But regardless, you feel WR is the goal for round 1? I think if one of those three that you mentioned is there, then I could see them being the pick, if not, I really think it is a lineman. OT or DT.
  5. I think I agree with Schefter at this point. Trenches just makes sense. I'm thinking one of McDonald, Miller, or Lomu. (Based on 30 visits)
  6. If they knew how to draft well, you might be right. The last time they had two top 10 picks they took Kayvon Thibideaux and Evan Neal. Oof.
  7. Yeah, he sounds like Mickey Mouse. Super annoying.
  8. It would be awesome if we could edit our posts so I can update the list...
  9. A speed receiver that can return kicks and a safety that can play nickel. We are looking to fill holes with guys that have multiple skill sets. Smart, if you can find/get them.
  10. Cam made a good point about XL posting his offseason workout videos last year and was making fun of the jerky movements in running routes and grunting. He said something to the effect of that's all fine and good, but can I depend on you? Will you be where I need you to be? Will you get off of coverage, will you catch the passes that come your way, will you fight to get open? He has been doing the wrong kind of prep. His lack of production comes from the mental side. He needs to study, differentiate his routes, communicate with Bryce on route options/preferences, get reps with his QB, and stop making mental errors on the field. The guy is a tremendous athlete, but if he wants to be a better receiver, he needs to maximize the mental side. I heard he was working out with Bryce this offseason. That's a good start. If I remember correctly, he didn't do that last year.
  11. Them meeting with Styles is interesting. He's supposed to be long gone by our pick.
  12. Traded down once. I'd be happy with this outcome.
  13. Here are my takeaways from the conference (IMO): - Is Dan against taking a WR 3 years in a row? No. Would that be his preference? Also, no. Not by a long shot. - I think draft gurus are wrong. Tight end is not an early priority. They like the guys in the building enough to see them develop, but a later round guy is being looked at (just seemed like he was able to label a couple of guys "talented", but stopped short of suggesting the class is good at the top. Seemed quick to talk about the depth of the class) - If we are taking a DL, it will be in the top 2 rounds. They fall off a cliff at some point soon after. - They are targeting guys in each round. I think we are more likely to move up than down in this draft to prevent missing out on a guy. He doesn't want to give up a lot though, man loves his draft picks. - DBs are a priority. We want to come away with a safety and a nickel. Maybe even a safety that can play nickel. Thieneman sounds more and more like a real possibility, if he is there. We are taking a safety in the first 2 rounds, if I had to put money on it. - Age matters more for 1st round picks, probably (Mesidor), but not for after that (Stukes). - They have a guy or two that they want in the 1st round, but crazy things DO happen in the draft, and they may shift gears and take a different guy if someone falls that they didn't expect to be there. - Character matters. A LOT. If a guy has character concerns of any kind, you can be pretty confident they aren't on our board. They may bring in a guy or two for a visit to gauge the validity/severity of the concern though.
  14. I mostly agree with the assessment of impact players this year, but I do think Kayden McDonald would be the exception for DT. He would plug the run Day 1. Pass rush would need time though.
  15. He's a good player. Age and injury history might be knocks on him (he will be 25 in his rookie year).
  16. I believe I just read somewhere that the Rams don't do Top 30 Visits. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of trying to keep information close to the vest.
  17. I'm not a stan, but I really like Caleb Lomu. The ONLY knock on him is he needs to improve core strength. An NFL weight room and regimen will improve that in no time. He has the best feet, hands, balance, and recovery of any tackle in the class, imo.
  18. You're dreaming if you think that's all it would cost to move up from the 51st pick to the 1st round. It would take at least a first next year
  19. I said it in another thread, but I think they would ideally like to move down to the mid twenties, get another 3rd, then take either another player in the 1st by moving up or take 2 players in the 2nd after packaging picks.
