Ickey could be an elite LG. Garbage LT. Dave knows. Probably can't get the answer at 33 but let the man cook.

The More I Hear, The More I like Dave Canales
ClawOn replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sure that's ideal but not reality. The vast majority of 1st round QBs bust. If it doesn't work, you move on. -
For real. Amazing how fast the whining narrative shifts for some people

I just want to be playoff eligible in early December.

The organization has not earned the benefit of the doubt, but neither has this forum. Every Morgan is a "yes man" or "part of the problem" post encourages me about his abilities.
-
Actually sensible. Let's at least see his first couple of moves before dismissing him as a yes man, etc.

Who is beating us in the NFC South with Mike MacDonald at HC?
ClawOn replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
100% agree. Almost no talent on the roster. It's measured, long term rebuild time. -
Who is beating us in the NFC South with Mike MacDonald at HC?
ClawOn replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah we are going to be last in the South next year regardless of who the HC is. The ceiling will be to be score some points, maybe even 20+ here or there and win 3 or 4. Winning the division is laughable. -
NFL Playoffs Divisional Round - Games Thread
ClawOn replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Purdy is in the absolute ideal situation for any QB. Otherwise he's Bridgewater. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll see soon enough. -
NFL Playoffs Divisional Round - Games Thread
ClawOn replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah and Purdy is limited. Lives on screens and quick outs that go for 40. -
Thing is, it doesn't matter who plays QB for us next season. We won't be competitive. 3, maybe 4 win ceiling. Our best QB by a long way for one more ride? Hell yeah I'm in.

Just because you have a job as a GM or NFL personnel guy doesn't mean you're good at it. No surprise that there are plenty of geniuses in retrospect. Definitely a mistake, but one that 80%+ of these dudes would have made.

Which franchises are known as the most well run?
ClawOn replied to Panthero's topic in Carolina Panthers
Speaking of the Steelers, it's incredibly unlikely but man, if they want to move on from Tomlin... please Coach give this dumpster fire a chance. -
We're the worst _____, the least _____, the most undesirable _____. It's a dead horse but also true.

Baker has earned this W. The Panthers have earned exactly what they have - nothing.

Wild Card team in 2026.

I don't have much football joy left, but the annual Dallas playoff choke keeps me going. This one is extra gratifying.
-
Think that's a bit dire. We're at the bottom but we'll be back. Hell maybe it will all be for the best and we'll trip and fall our way into a generational QB in 25.
-
Yes it looks like a whiff. I wish we could all agree to move on and talk about the staff and players that will actually be on the Panthers this fall. The Bears didn't get a re-do to take Mahomes or Allen instead of Trubisky. We'll never have Stroud. Move on

I broke a remote, mug, and glass table in celebration. Got a noise complaint. Called in to work. No ragrets

Yep. No way to rationally doubt Saban's legacy.

NFC South 2024 Offseason Financials [Spotrac]
ClawOn replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably not anymore. Two 2s might be on the table. -
Hell if I know. I thought Reich would be a good coach. Whatever the sports consultant dudes think I'm in.

2024 - bad football team with the right staff and a few players 2025 - OK team with an improving roster likely including a new QB 2026 - wild card maybe?
