  1. Ignore that last image. I have no idea why it won't delete. It wasn't in the original or the edit. Maybe a mod can get rid of it. @Zod @LinvilleGorge
  2. He would be owed $35 mil in 2022 and $37 mil in 2023. That may not be the high water mark for QB pay at the time. That is TBD. A lot of how badly that hurts us will be determined by how the cap adjusts for the COVID revenue loss. We could be back at original levels in 2022/2023 or they could be spreading out the complete revenue hit still(currently projected to be a spread out over those three years).
  3. I keep seeing people misquote the cap figures and impacts for Watson, Teddy, CMC, Stafford, etc. Here is a screenshot guide from Overthecap for each of these oft referenced players. Things to keep in mind: THE PRORATED SIGNING BONUS MONEY NEVER LEAVES THE INITIAL TEAM. This does not count as cap hit for the team these players are traded to. All other remaining guaranteed money and bonus money(roster/workout/etc) IS TRANSFERED to the new team. I can add more players to this list upon request. Deshaun Watson Pre-June 1st Trade(prior to draft) Post-June 1st Trade(this would happen after 2021 draft) Matthew Stafford Pre-June 1st Trade(prior to draft) Post-June 1st Trade(this would happen after 2021 draft) Teddy Bridgewater Pre-June 1st Trade(prior to draft) Post-June 1st Trade(this would happen after 2021 draft) Christian McCaffery Pre-June 1st Trade(prior to draft) Post-June 1st Trade(this would happen after 2021 draft)
  4. He isn't getting $40+ mil at any point in that contract unless he stays in Houston.
  5. That is under the "I'll only go to Carolina" theory. I HOPE that happens but I am willing to bet that Watson has more than one place he would like to go. I do still believe he will go for less than the media is predicting.
  6. I can't remember how many times so many of us said we should have just fuging kept Cam. He had one fuging year left on a CHEAPER DEAL. It was dumb then and it looks way, way, waaaaaaaaaaay dumber now.
  7. I think this did get posted in another Watson thread and get debated there, FWIW.
  8. I am sure he is not doing anything as harsh as what Nick Saban would say to you.
  9. This is actually incorrect. His cap hit in 2021 is very low, $10.54 mil but his 2022 cap hit is $35 mil which would be the second highest paid year(after 2023) of his contract. These figures are assuming he is traded, they are substantially higher for the Texans with his prorated bonus money added.
  10. Still haven't snagged an OF Rye. Need to get one.
  11. I think Teddy starting is a worst case scenario. I don't want to see him ruin another season and make the morale of the team suffer. We need to have a starting caliber NFL QB in 2021.
  12. Well, a $3 mil savings is still $3 mil would could roll towards 2022 rather than pay a guy that won't see the field(hopefully).
  13. Really would like to avoid taking the cut hit on Teddy. May not have an option, though.
  14. I think some of these teams are also waiting to see if Stafford becomes a free agent. The Lions can cut him and designate him as a post June 1st cut and end up with a smaller dead cap hit than if they trade him now.
  15. Stafford for a 2nd would be a killer deal. Would need to find a way to dump Teddy, however.
  16. Man, Rodgers really has quite the ego. I guess it has served him well in a certain aspect but it makes it tough for the Packers.
  17. Yeah, he may just be wrong about that. Either way, he means our 2021 2nd.
  18. Eh.....I mean I will not be upset to get Watson but we will be in a tough spot to keep building through the draft. We really need to crush free agency consistently.
  19. Remember "ties" rotate each round. So they shuffle picks. That is actually why tying kind of sucks in the draft order.
  20. Don't say that. His home is technically Georgia. We don't want him to go home.
