Seriously. It's like not paying Nnamdi because he can line up on one side or Richard because he can only play zone. Except this is a pass rusher -- way more valuable. Yeah he's iffy against the run (not as much of a liability as the huddle makes him out to be, he knows his run fits) and he struggles sometimes when doubled, both points I know will be brought up during negotiations. He still wins most of his 1 on 1s fairly quickly and still is in his athletic prime. But nah let's use one of those two first to maybe get a Brian Burns.

I don't expect any one target to break 1k this season, but I'm hoping TMJ is the leader in receiving but expecting it to be Chark

Viking article predicting big drop off for Thielen
Rags replied to panthers55's topic in Carolina Panthers
Woah. Wild take there. Thelien isn't gonna put up 1k yards? This guy's crazy! We could have prime Julio, and his numbers would still drop. He's 33. He's much more for the locker room and to become a security blanket for our rookie QB than a game breaker. -
Bryce so far ahead that they feel they can expand their offensive playbook

And that's why it's a big deal he can maybe learn the whole playbook? Understanding what his offense can do is how u beat defenses. Are u bitching to bitch? -

What does who he's playing against go with how he understands concepts? -
What does that last part mean? Both Burns and Reddick are "speed" rushers

Lbr the only reason people vehemently dislike him is becauae of the Rhule's wife story. He's been just as solid, if not better than names like Mike Godsoon and Cameron Artis Payne. He's not a plodder and he seems to understands run gaps well. Probably not a 2nd contract guy but you can do a LOT worse from a backup than Chuba.

Bro has good taste in sticoms and sitcom episodes. Obviously he'll be a 10x pro bowler based on this alone.

tbh, his first point is my biggest concern w/ Young. He's so good off platform because he HAS to be off platform. Which ofc puts him at risk more, but it also limits what he can and can't do at times. I'm excited for the pick. I can already feel the energy he's brought to this team. I think he's smart and he has face of the franchise energy and ability. However one thing I'm going to be worried abt until proven otherwise is something he can't control: How other teams play him knowing he's a short QB.

Okay cool concept. What "risk" was there at 80 on the offensive side at the ball?

Round 3 - The Carolina Panthers Select DJ Johnson - EDGE - Oregon

Congrats, you can identify talent. I remember when I wanted Diggs more than any WR in 2015 draft. I thought I was the smartest boy in school. The next step is realizing that everyone in the FO can identify talent, probably realized just as well as we do what a talent can do, and realize that they only have a limited number of assets and many needs. We have a need at edge. There aren't many other great edge players left in the draft. Take a talent, hope you can develop him. -

The reason I don't take thr Darnell Washington ppl seriously is because they would've taken him 40 picks ago no question when a simple search reveals he had red flags abt his knees. And then he still got drafted behind a guy literally missing an ACL because he's a raw prospect as a receiver. -

I seriously wonder what many of you guys expect from a majority of 3rd round picks. Like do you guys lose sleep if a 3rd rd pick busts? -

Looks like a guy who we'll either love in two years or he'll be off the roster in 2 years. Like his measurables. Hopefully he'll take to coaching well. -
