Jeremiah: Panthers "dead set" on drafting an offensive lineman
pantherclaw replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Either way. Horn, while ultimately isn't whom I wanted, wasn't my first two choices either. And several teams also felt it was to early for slater, not that I would have minded slater. This board was,, WTF. -

Most of us, myself included, was upset we didn't pick slater last year. Which on most board would have been a reach. How did you feel when we picked horn over slater? -
Top 15 QB's that are candidates for trade.

Actually, it's a pretty good position to be in, and to be able to groom a young talent before throwing him to the wolves. I know it's uncommon these days, but that's how it use to be done. -

Think we can all use that. -
It could be he's honoring his end of the argument with Rhule. It takes time. We saw progress the first season, and the second was not, so in the eyes of us fans, we're going backwards. Most wholesale system changes take 3 years. Perhaps he's just allowing Rhule that time. It's the opposite of what we see in the rest of the league, because so many owners are willing to rip coaches out a year or 2 into a process that takes longer. I'm not advocating for Rhule, just trying to make sense of it all.

I honestly don't think Rhule even has self preservation thought process. He could easily go back to being overpaid at the college level.

I truly want to know whether Tepper really thinks it's a good idea to bring a player here that doesn't want to be here. I can't fathom he is that stupid, although the huddle sure paints him that way.
-
Bringing Watson here when he doesn't want to be here would be the worse thing Tepper could do.
-
Look what Watson has done to the Texans, because he doesn't wish to play for them. And anybody wants him here when he doesn't want to be? fug, what a joke.
-
We've been worse.

Everyone wants Rhule gone but, what if
pantherclaw replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
No rock star OC was hired. Just an NFL proven one, and not one any of the fans wanted. So I'm not buying he had to do anything but at some proven NFL experience to the coaching staff, which is something us fans wanted from the beginning. At this point, it just see how it comes together. Quality coaching has been added to the team. It's time for them to fix the online, so whomever is taking snaps, doesn't get killed. -

No other Panther QB was a better leader of men.

The bills had their chance to win the game in regulation. Don't see an issue

A dose of optimism and why Matt Rhule is great for Tepper
pantherclaw replied to Snake's topic in Carolina Panthers
It did seem like everything they did back fired. That generally doesn't happen, not even if you try. Wish I could say anything with any sense of confidence. Maybe it is because we're a black cat.... -
I guess I just don't see the point of going on and on like this every day. Despite my own feeling on this, I knew back in November that Teppers wasn't going to fire Rhule. Whether y'all cared to admit it back then or not, it's pretty damn obvious by now. So whether we agree with it or not, continuing to harp on what the rest of the league is doing isn't going to change anything.
