I believe the Panthers will draft a QB regardless of adding a vet QB. They want to find the next star to develop, along with someone to lead the team offense immediately.

3 1st's⁰ is to much for our team at this point. If we were only an elite QB away.

Wrong. Jets and Phins. We may be in the mix, but it certainly clear we are not in his top 2 choices. If wants to be a Jet over us, I say let him be a Jet.

Getting Stafford would be more economical, could still draft a qb, and keep CMC in the process. Going for Watson would set the offense back for at least a years, probably more.

I'm going to be 100% transparent. I haven't been investing the time the last 2 years that I normally have. Not just due to our team, but the NFL as a whole. Generally I'm defense kind of guy. So elite pass rushers get a nod. - here is looking at burns I generally have a 2nd on defense...normally our of the linebacking group...this year, my 2nd defensive guy would have to be Chinn. Then I also have 2 on the offense. CMC is still the most impactful player we have on offense. Then give me some Moore! (see what I did there?).

No one will trade for CMC. Not sure why anybody legitimately thinks it's possible. Player for player and picks. Might happen, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

No team makes it to the dance without a running game. They may not lean on it, but its still a part/reason they get there.

Watson is worth more than CMC. Trading away such a large piece of offense still has to be replaced. You will not easily find anyone to come in and do what CMC does. Another RB that can start? Yes, but let's not act like that's the same thing.

We do need an upgrade at linebacker. Not sure it'll come at 8 though.
