    For me it’s Baker(for all of one drive) Ickey… how many pancakes will he serve up Cade Mays… he has talent, needs refinement. All other rookies and new guys to the team

    Not digging the defense as much as you are. The d-line is an injury away from being anemic and the lb room is scary. Only good thing is we have a really strong secondary.

    Built up the o-line now the d-line looks like a weakness along with LBers. We could be giving up huge ypg on the ground.

    Darnold supposedly knows the offense better and yet Baker is still out-performing him… stop with the “splitting the reps is ok” because it’s not. If we go into week one and Baker struggles to get in a rhythm you shouldn’t have a problem figuring out why.

    Someone better be an option or this defense will be giving up 300 ypg on the ground.

    The NFC isn’t all that great. You have the Bucs, Rams, Packers and maybe the “Boyz.” Of course CMC has to stay healthy, Baker has to stay healthy and show what he did in 2020, and our defense has to get off the field on 3rd down.

    Pretty sure Matt keeps Jordan just so he can say he coached Michael Jordan.

    Before the change in staff I would say there’s no chance Matt survives a full season. But if you look at the talent and experience he surrounded himself with he has a shot. Of course he has to be better on game day which is saying a lot knowing his struggles… but it’s not impossible that we have a decent year.

    It’s the same old story for Sam. He plays well when he knows nobody is going to hit him. Please stop wasting reps on him unless you’re looking for another team to take him.

    With our luck Watson plays week one, throws 3 td’s and assaults the entire cheerleading team.

    Could be they’re hoping he shows enough that another team wants him. Would probably be willing to eat a lot of his contract.

    Imagine our secondary with a healthy Horn plus all the other pieces we have. I’m not going full LOB but dang, they could easily be top 5.

    Maybe if DJ wasn’t forced to play with sub-average qb’s his td’s would be higher. Pretty sure he’s second to only Moss in consecutive 1000+ yard seasons before the age of 26.

    I’m actually hoping Sam plays well enough for another team to want him… that contract though.

    Looking towards the future, what do the Panthers do if Baker plays well? Do they sign him to a long term contract knowing Corral is waiting in the wings?

    It’s pretty clear that in 2022 the secondary is now a strength vs recent years. Our problem on D is going to be our below average LB corp and our hogs stopping the run. We need to sign a couple more guys.

    Sam more than likely isn’t a threat, if Baker plays like he did a couple years ago Matt won’t see the field.
