  1. Losing Dak for several weeks I think should increase McCarthy’s odds. It would be like CMC going down for several weeks increasing Rhule’s odds. I’m not getting Vrabel being where he is. 4 straight winning seasons. 3 straight playoff appearances.
  2. Just depends. Obviously I’d rather have young depth because of what it could evolve into. But overall on a Sunday to play a game? I can’t say that what we have at RB, WR, and TE today is legitimately better vs then. I don’t think those outside Carolina would view it as better today.
  3. Yeah, I edited that post after further reflecting and didn’t include QB. But I wouldn’t say we are noticeably better at RB, WR or TE yet. I mean we could be. But that that’s just potential that hasn’t shown to be better at those spots.
  4. Just looking at the first 3 of the first 4 groups…. are we actually better at the RB, WR and TE position groups? Whatever I would rate us on a scale of 1-10 would be about the same there in 2020 vs 2022. I think to rate us better is emphasizing potential and knowing hindsight to an extent.
  5. I mean, we don’t need anymore proof Rhule isn’t a NFL HC…. but seriously, I don’t get how he was viewed as a good college HC. Let’s put the fact he beat nobody to the side. Given his nature of excuse making, inability to talk….how did anyone buy what this was selling. I don’t think Tepper was joking. He hired Rhule because he was sloppy, sweaty and short order cook like him.
  6. nothing like cherry picking lol Panthers wouldn’t be 3rd if all the other teams cherry picked their best window

USC. Not the Gamecocks. I don’t want to ever draft a QB/WR from USC.
  8. I mean they were bad. But the NFL doesn’t seem to care. I have never seen evidence they punish the refs for being horrific. i think if we were a better and more important team they probably would be forced to publicly address the spike. I mean they consulted, voiced it was a penalty and then picked it up lol. 1% of me has always believed/argued the NFL is rigged to an extent. Games like that are why. Our Super Bowl to Denver too. I mean not every game but I think the NFL puts their thumb on the scales. Which isn’t a wild take IMO. You see shady poo in all avenues of life.
  9. Tepper just doesn’t know what he is doing. It’s getting well established. he rushed into the RH deal just like he rushed into Rhule.
  10. Well that doesn’t sound like Tepper was innocent in the shitshow. Sounds like he was part of it. yet I’m sure the Tepper/Rhule fans boys will make poor David Tepper out to be the victim
  11. Maybe. But it was talked about in preseason.
  12. That’s gets a little weird sometimes. I mean if the 3rd read on a play gets open quick…..a QB isn’t really always to blame for not seeing and hitting it. Because that’s not the design of the play. but no doubt there were plays to be made. Think it was just a bad game plan. We had guys that clearly could get open. Wonder if they just deemed Robbie’s DB as the dude to look to throw on? Baker seems to favor DJ since he has been here. good share though
  13. if Carolina had a decent gameplan and the game was managed well.....we likely win that game. But we didn't. Neither were close to being good. I still deem that as more of a factor of why we lost. And it's more important to recognize that going forward. We got 16 more games. Matt Rhule says most teams lose because they don't know why they lost. I would hope he doesn't think we lost because of the refs.
  14. The logic of how refs/football go should be the same in the end. Yes, you are going to be happy with one outcome vs the other pending who your team .... but the overall logic shouldn't be different. If you are okay with the massive Panther win over the Patriots......and that being football. Then so was Sunday vs the Browns. Patriots had all game to try to win. They didn't get a call they should of in the endzone. That's sports. The ref didn't' lose them the game though. Bad calls on final drives get over emphasized vs all the other bad calls going on all game. I have said countless times the refs blew the call and frankly I think given they reviewed a call together and still didn't catch it...should have consequences for them. Because it is worse than simply a bad judgement call. But all that said, the primary reason we lost is because we played horrible, had a bad gameplan and managed it poorly. That is a greater reason for the loss than that call.
  15. Yep. That’s the NFL. That massive win over the Patriots didn’t have threads about how we need better refs and Patriots should of won. We simply said, well…..refs are human. Patriots shouldn’t of let it come down to that. Well, let’s be honest. We largely just boldly lied that it wasn’t PI. but that’s why the podcast doesn’t fixate on the refs. You could blame the ref every week for the outcome of a game. They consistently get stuff wrong throughout every game. Human element of refs is part of football.
  16. This team has won 5 games for 3 straight seasons….and looks to be on pace to pull of something similar for a 4th straight year. The worst window in this history of the franchise. There is nothing odd going on in Panther fandom.
  17. I mean we don’t even actually know that for a fact. Likely? Yes. Rookie’s kick would have been good even pushed back 10 yards. It had the distance. He has 70 yard distance apparently that he displayed in preseason. Or maybe they go for a Hail Mary….and the heavy penalty ridden Panther D does something dumb. No one knows. it might be a dumb take but it’s the position every reputable coach generally has. Same for players. It’s the same logic when a Panther kicker misses a would be game winning kick at the end….and the players say the missed kick didn’t actually lose the game. It was all the other plays before it that were the reason. No game is actually decided by any one play or call. We just talk about the ones at the end. you can’t be as bad as we were Sunday and totally excuse that from why we ended up with an L. NFL refs are always bad. We played with fire being content letting the Browns have a shot and got burned really bad by it. But it was a poo call. They should fire refs that don’t know the rules. Especially after consulting each other on it.
  18. maybe Fields will be bad, but it’s hard to call Chicago a good spot for a QB. 2nd year, 2nd offense for Fields and he has weak WR talent. I think the 2021 class might be a great disappointment. But both Trevor and Fields went to dumpster fires and are essentially already starting over in year 2. I was never high on Lance or Wilson but where a QB lands IMO has a lot to do with how they turn out in the NFL. If you look at the ones who have panned out in recent history…..talent has been around them immediately and a consistent staff.
  19. you can run a collection of CMC, Hubbard, and Foreman at the Browns. All 3 can run. Hubbard just can’t catch. that was supposedly why we drafted Hubbard and then added Foreman. It’s not a run CMC into the dirt or no running choice. there isn’t a comparable counter narrative of why you would come out with a pass heavy gameplan. we weren’t even close to balanced with that opening game either. A Joe freaking Brady game plan emphasized the run more than what they came out with
  20. In a vacuum maybe. but we watched both them start last year. One is a better player than the other. and now both reside on a team that has displayed very questionable roster management. OL being one of those spots.
  21. The refs blew the call. It helped the Browns. we lost that game because of a laundry list of reasons though
  22. Chubb has run behind a better OL and been healthy. Both healthy and behind the same OL? I’ll take Barkley
  23. And the pattern repeats. Message it to me, I’ll get it up. I’ll be happy to advertise Matt Rhule’s pattern of bringing in the wrong people and is a bad coach. you should of invested real time and created a pic of Rhule, Brady and McAdoo riding a dolphin screaming it’s 1000% working, you just can’t see it.
  24. Interesting. A repeated pattern of a legit point on Rhule being made and you avoid it by claiming obsession/love/hatred Matt Rhule is the HC. He claims he knew the rule backwards and forwards with examples. Why wasn’t Rhule out there arguing the call? That’s his job. And he ended the game with a timeout in his pocket. Could of used it then to try to get the right call to eventually come down. He clearly didn’t want it to ice the rookie kicker. Make a big enough scene and those refs might of phoned a friend and got it right. We have seen a coach talk his way to the correct call before.
  25. would have been cool if Matt Rhule went out there and argued the call more…with the same passion you have for defending everything said about him.
