  1. Cam Newton is easily a greater short yardage threat than any of them. It isn't really close. Because Cam has a blocking advantage in the run game over a traditional RB....and the opponent still has to play the pass. You need one yard. Cam is the toughest threat. It is what it is. lol at Emmitt Smith. Cam is 6ft 5 in and a genentic freak on top of the above.
  2. You simply choose to ignore and deem irrelvent everything about Cam that made him elite and special...to diminsh him. Throw all his passing TDs out the window for a minute and deem them void. One player has found the endzone more than Cam in Carolina history without his passing TDs. 1. And Cam likely jumps him this year. Cam is a monster. To dismiss all that he brings for your arguement, that you have to play like Tom Brady or it doesn't count, is utterly silly.
  3. well, again, running between the tackles was the mark of a RB. Stopping the run was the mark of a LB. TEs were largely blockers. But players evolve. The game evolves. Cam might of been an average passer. But he was also a uniquely dominant runner. One that is unique in NFL history. A dominant game changer and again, remains the most dominent short yardage threat/option in NFL history. He was never an average player.
  4. Well, they did manage to beat Tompa Bay last week. So they can at least put something together. Ron knows every blitz, coverage, look Cam struggles with. He knows his tendencies when a play breaks down. The throws and runs he likes. I think that is why you have to work PJ in and not have a play and audible handicapped Cam playing all 4 quarters.
  5. well, that was still Matt Rhule's team. He couldn't coach around Sam Darnold enough to beat a bad Giants team that was basically missing everyone. I still don't think losing to Ron would be as bad. And Ron knows Cam Newton better than any coach in the NFL. Matt Rhule IMO could put Cam in a bad spot. You can't put Cam out there for 4 quarters running simple stuff, not having legit audbile ability, etc vs Ron Rivera.
  6. I mean, we lost to the Giants. Losing to Ron wouldn't be as bad as the Giants game.
  7. well, he has been around since 2008. So he isn't a new account. Hopefully, it was just poor communication and he will be in touch with you shortly.
  8. $100 adoption fee for my pit mix outside of basic shots she is in perfect health. every mix I have ever had has had great health. everyone else in my family has expensive pure breed dogs. All sorts of health issues. They spend small fortunres on the their dogs healthcare. but my dog is dumb as a box rocks. I guess that is the trade off. Their dogs have been easier to train and are better behaved.
  9. NFL teams are basically mom and pop shops. They aren't run like fortune 500 companies. So really all ownership meddles to some degree.
  10. Well, Tepper let Rhule come in and do what he wanted. That's what you do when you pay a HC mega bucks. So Tepper did what he was suppose to do there at the time. Just like he did what he had to now IMO. If Cam was all Matt Rhule and Tepper is hands off. Why is Cam flying in and going right to Tepper's house to see if this thing will work. Matt Rhule wasn't part of that acutal party. And then Cam emerges from Tepper's house all in fixing the shitshow.
  11. Matt Rhule has been a non-stop shitshow at the QB position. Look at all the money he has piled up on slop. No reasonable owner would just keep letting Rhule cut checks and doing what he wants at QB at this point. The boos were reigning down in BOA America in the first half of our last home game. We still had another half of a season to go. Matt Rhule was openly being talked to like a chump. Tepper had enough. Tepper simply was going to at least fix the shitshow that was morphing. At least tempoarily. And it worked and will work.
  12. I think Tepper told Rhule Cam would be the QB to finish the season. That’s what happened. all this talk by Rhule that Tepper has nothing to do with anything is bunk. and we shouldn’t let the fact Cam returned erase the horrific failure of Rhule at the QB position.
  13. What is this? Those guys both have losing records. I’m talking about a QB that has NEVER LOST a professional game as QB the entire time he has walked the planet Earth.
  14. I’d probably classify him as a receiving TE. He didn’t do anything here. Think he actually had a decent time in Cleveland. Maybe he is bitter we didn’t use him.
  15. a guy deemed pointless once the Cam and Olsen connection arrived…
  16. what do Matt Stafford, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson all have in common? More picks than PJ this week
  17. Majority of the time. But if you got a weak OL and weak WRs? Lamar might be the guy. Tom Brady needs the right pieces around him to be lethal.
  18. People use to measure RBs strictly by how they ran between the tackles. Then they got more diverse. 6pts is 6pts. Yards are yards. I don’t compare Lamar Jackson to Tom Brady. They do different things from the QB spot. Neither can do what they other can.
  19. Cam ain’t just dual though Cam brought a running aspect to the position that hadn’t been seen in the modern NFL. Which makes Cam the toughest short yardage threat that exists in the NFL. And that’s been the case since his arrival.
  20. maybe NE’s trash roster last season had something to do with that.
  21. I think Cam’s team is really dialed in personally. I think Cam’s team has told him what the talk was. And Cam is giving the people what they want. too big of a coincidence IMO
  22. Vikings having the tie breaker really stinks.
  23. Yes. He played in the second half. Hard to log stats when you erase guys from the field. Gilmore is the best DB to date to ever wear a Panther uniform.
  24. Fun fact. My guy Cam has the 3rd highest win % in Panther history #1? Mr. Phillip “Mr November” Walker Jr
