  1. So how did Miami hire McDanials if Ross is such a bad owner? Money talks and those guys want a shot at a promotion. All of the first part of that post were comical exaples of BS reasons that are just as good as keeping a GM in title only who was hired to do what Rhule wanted. What is the difference between that and Wilks, they are both doing a job now that they were not hired for. Hell Wilks is a better example becaude he has only been here this season. I have stated I don't think the fire sale happens now but in a few weeks before the deadline. It's a bad look to hand the team over to Wilks and then undercut him. After a loss or 2 all that goes out the window.
  2. Every year that train gets out of hand. For fugs sake it did last year and it was the worst class I can remember. The NFL is a hype machine and the need for QBs makes it a guarantee that fans will belive some of the crazy and stupid crap that they come up with to keep people engaged. I get what you are saying tho. I just don't look until the kids are done with school. It takes all of the emotion out of it and makes it easier IMO.
  3. And yet that post is correct and you are being salty. There was no argument to be had because you obviously have none left on this topic except petty bickering and I don't dislike you enough to want to cross that line. Disprove it or let this die.
  4. Neither Mahomes or Allen went #1 but plenty of really bad QBs have. I would rather have the best QB and not the most desired QB regardless of the 'experts' opinions.
  5. We should just keep Wilks as HC next year regardless because it's not fair he gets only part of the coaching duties and not a full shake. We should keep RA because it's not fair he doesn't get to prove he was more than another of Rhule's free pass. We should just keep McAdoo because it is not fair he had to run Rhule's offense. The NFL will never want to work here because were are unfair to let go underperforming employees like every other team. Horsezhit. Do any of those moves with some basic skills and care and it is just another day in the NFL. Did McDanials refuse the Miami job after Flores? Did Ron take the Commies job after well everything Snyder does? Did Lovie Smith take the job from that racist owner in Houston? Hell did all these people take a job here after talking to Rhule?
  6. Yeash, just run the ball. Not a great selling piont for Wilks as a long term answer either.
  7. What a mess. And people were defending that BS in year 3.
  8. I think we were already there entering this year, locked in once Tepper retained Rhule. If Tepper hires a good consultant to help fix the issues and set a new tone then that changes. I don't see anyone in house good to lean on and I don't see Tepper being able to do anything solo in the near future. One good hand to help the process would change lots of perception. Staying the course would just be more of the same. Tepper can't not hire a consultant to help clean up the mess he made with Rhule. He needs help on every angle and there are a lot of turds in the punchbowl left after Hurney and Rhule to sort through. Who knows what went on behind the scenes but from the dysfunction we can all see it was more than we factually know at this time. I would love to see Rhule with Snyder. Just a perfect match.
  9. Just stay healthy for the year and then we can start getting really excited. So far it's really good but the year is still too young to go bonkers. Fingers crossed.
  10. They are all made up grades given a numerical value to confuse that fact and help them sell their expertise. They should use letters instead of numbers but then you would know it was all opinionated and not facts regardless of their master equation that constantly fails every week. Just fun to see how close they got this week and that is really it. I never really get tired of mocking PFFs performance grades.
  11. Think we are sadly already there.
  12. Fine but it has to be a real hiring process which means Tepper brings in outside help.
  13. His time in Seattle was less than stellar and again we went looking there because they ran their team the same way they wanted to here where the HC is in charge. The better candidates bowed out of that process. We got the guy helping sink the ship that was a powerhouse before he was promoted from scout. It qualifies him to be a yes man GM for sure and he did that. Does it qualify him to proceed in a manor he hasn't operated amongst in more than a decade? Morgan has a ways to go before he is a top tier candidate IMO. He isn't ready yet and the fact he left the Bills to come here shows that to be true. It's like the opposite of what Bean did lol. Would I take him over Friterer? I was leaning that way and now I have serious reservations about both but like I said I am happy to watch them go earn it the rest of the season but they shouldn't be given a damn thing at this point. It will be interesting to see how much interest Morgan gets as a GM after this year. I want to like Morgan and do see skills but I keep thinking his time at GM will be like his time as a restaurant owner. With GMs like Hurney and Keim it can always be worse I guess.
  14. He has been carrying the offense since Cam went down and it hasn't worked well yet. I would rather get a pick then all his crazy stats before he is IRed again. His 1000+ / 1000+ year we won 5 games. Can't build an offense around an allstar RB, we done tried and failed, so getting value for him is not a bad option at the right price now. I still don't think much happens before we play this weekend or even next weekend. I am curious to see how much he even wants to be here anymore.
  15. I wasn't expecting a fire sale before a game or 2. I do expect a fire sell before the 1st tho. Tepper seemed to think this team could compete, no idea if that was true or just PR BS.
  16. And my argument is that it is pretty dumb to give him a job he was never hired or trained to have full power as a GM. The concern about optics is fair I just think you are overblowing it...if Tepper has help because I don't see how he doesn't fug that up after seeing his presser yesterday. You haven't directly but by blaming only Rhule and not assigning any blame, even the unknown I acknowledged, to Fritts while giving him a free pass of all of the BS then you are in fact doing it implicitly though I am not sure if that was intentional or not.
  17. So less then 10%? Well it isn't all I will grant you that.
  18. What NFL owner isn't a shitty boss behind the scenes? I'll wait. Tepper is already seen that way I would guess. Spilt milk and all that. Maybe it is the ghost of keeping Hurney and where that led but I am fine with Friterer having to earn his spot next year. There isn't an employee in house that I think shouldn't at this point.
  19. No just the work he did here. You keep blaming all Rhule when he definitely had a hand in this mess to some degree and he also willingly signed up for it. You act like he is the victim which would just mean he was an idiot for taking the job and his experience would then come into question. Your argument lays zero blame at his feet and I say he was involved to an unknown degree but he also signed up for it. I'm not the one playing absolutes here Scott.
  20. He was hired to be Rhule's GM and Rhule wanted him so he is a Rhule guy because he signed on to all of that. He said yes to that job and then did the dirty deeds Rhule wanted. There is nothing disingenuous about that, thems facts. He still did the deed and did not resign so he was fine with being part of the move and the video of them talking about it did not show him having any issues with the Darnold trade lol. I never said it was all bad but it has not been good, jesus Hurney had positives but I wanted him gone for years. I haven't seen enough good from Friterer but I did say he could go and earn it the rest of the year but I am not giving him a damn thing going forward. There are much better options out there and I hope to god Tepper hires an outside consultant this time. If Fritterer can navigate the rest of the season and put us in a good spot for the new crew then fine keep earning that job.
  21. He helped take a SB team and turn it into the stale bag of lame it is up in Seattle lol, post legion of boom and most of their good picks. Can't even say he helped with the best move they made in years by ditching Wilson lol.
