Thanks for the heads up. I missed that and saw CMC not MC. Crazy times in Pantherland
-
Lol, i missed that. We are already on QB watch in the draft. Sadly it doesn't matter.
-
Broken plays from the Browns helped. Had to get him out of the pocket. Just run the ball.

Thomas was lined up later next to Ickey but he blew some blocks too. Can not belive we paid that dud. He catches passes when the D forgets to cover him because he is 99% invisible during a game.
-
Not awesome at all if you are trying to win a SB. No SB HC in the modern NFL has won a SB with a second team right? So hard pass and him going to the Boys and doing what McCarthy is doing will be a lot more fun IMO.
-
Eric B has something bad going on, no idea what the hell it is. I was higher on him in the past but now I am extremely weary of him. Not all good coordinators are going to make good HCs. He doesn't call the plays right? He seems to have an abrasive or toxic personality, it all just sounds like passing on him would be the safe call.

I don't really care. Great player but RBs can be had for a lot cheaper and he has either been massively overused to whatever the hell yesterday was in the game plan. Stay, go or trade. I'm fine with all of it if the vision from the GM and HC is coherent and based in winning principles and not the BS team building we have been doing the last 3 years.

Our last two first round picks, Icky and Horn.....BUSTS
Waldo replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes and no to the rookie thing. He is basically a rookie form playing experience but he was near the team all last year and that is still a lot more experience than any rookie has right now. I think basically a rookie covers Horn but when you compare what Ickey is going through vs what Horn is going through it kind of an important distinction. Rookie adjacent? IDK, got to be an acceptable term for his situation. I agree about Ickey and Horn right now. Kind of on Brown. I need to see him in another scheme before I can get on board with being a 100% bust. I don't think we use him well at all and I think he is out of position. Stupid pick if that is how you use a top 10 pick when we could have taken a NT much later in any draft. I kind of would like to see him at LE in a 3-4. -
When did you figure out Rhule was a fraud?
Waldo replied to Randolph Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
The 5 to 7 year plan was a giant red flag. If you are not improving and starting to compete at the end of year 2 then you shouldn't see a year 3. He shouldn't even be here this year after the turd he birthed last year. -

Waldo replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Way too early for both. The game plan of heavy throwing and a screen on his side to open the game was monumentally stupid for his first game. We should have run that damn ball for the first quarter to build Ickey up some and give the passing game a better chance to establish itself. Horn needs to stay healthy and Ickey needs time...well we have a year of practice in front of us. We will know if he is a LT or an OG by the end of the year. I expect some more fug-ups along the way for both. It is what rookies do. -
Only if/when CMC goes down. He is basically a backup for what CMC does in the passing game...minus the excellent blocking. Don't really care as it stands, another guy for the coaches who should be gone soon.

Watching the Chiefs yesterday was more depressing than our game
Waldo replied to KillaCamNewton's topic in Carolina Panthers
True but that is also what a wildcard team probably looks likein the NFC this year, good enough to score but shut down by a really good team. Opening against KC is brutal lol. -

First non-Panthers game I watched in a while and I just found myself enjoying watching them. Just really good football. -
This is who Baker always was, it's just his worst version as Rhule delivers with his QBs. He is not a franchise QB but he is good enough to work with a rookie HC with time to find a franchise QB...for the right price.

Waldo replied to Randolph Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
When he was hired I went and watched videos of him speaking. It was then and it was obvious he was full of BS. I cheered for him the first year anyways but he proved it completely in the second offseason. He fleeced Hurney and Tepper for so much money and is wasted 3 years of Panther football. Fug him -
Baker Could Be our “Brees”

The coaching improvment debate glossed over 'better is not automatically good' part for way too many and it soulds like baseless hope is shifting now. I would still take the lot trying to keep in the NFL vs waiting to get fired and run back to the easy school game of fleecing grown children with their bags of money anyday. Even if it won't be good it should be slightly better.

The same people that threw emotion agaisnt facts and concerns blindly going farther down the delusional rabithole? I am shocked, shocked I say

I think we should be prepared to let burns walk
Waldo replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
He still hasn't shown any ability to field an NFL quality unit on either sides. Lots of speed but without a clear and functional vision it really doesn't matter. Neither he nor Snow have adpted well and this year should finally be the nail in their expensive NFL coffins. -

Waldo replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree with all except I think this is the coaches vision...which is why I can't wait for them to be fired so we can start talking about improvement and not waste. -
Is Rhule the worst coach in the NFL right now
Waldo replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was a great coach, he certainly slipped the last few years but he was a very suscseful HC. The fact is the odds of him wining a SB with another team is higly agaisnt him. That was my main point. I would expect some of the same stuff they had from McCarthy tho I 100% think Payton is a better coach by far. -
The meltdowns are delicious this morning

Waldo replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
No HC has won a second SB with another team is the stat I belive. They can have him and would obviously not have learned from the McCarthy hire. I want an NFL O cordinator as the next HC. -
Dropped snaps, batted down passes that Cleveland specifically prepared for and some easy stats on some broken 1st week plays. We could do a lot worse but we can and should try to do a lot better. He is who he always has been. He will never be a Brees. He will be lucky to top 4k in yards with his play style that relys on pounding the ball first.
