  1. As a GM? Sure. As a HC, I wouldn't bet against it lol. I like Morgan but this entire situation reeks of dysfunction. Fitts is positioning already to try and get away from Rhule because that dude has cracked. Morgan looks like he could be good but he was at the seahawks and only with the Bills since 2018. But they are friends from Seatle which has been riding Wilson's arm and not much else since the legion of boom days.
  2. Lame duck HC year again. As long as they don't trade away future draft capital, this staff can choke on it. I just hope Tepper has the brains to hire a consultant to clean up this mess by next offseason. God help all Panther fans if he take the lead in that process.
  3. I would have trusted Peters or Berry with it all. Maybe on Morgan, I would rather have a really strong GM to hold Tepper's hand but Colbert and Morgan sounds like a win.
  4. What are we going to do, hand over the team to his personal ball washer Fitts? There isn't anyone in house that is qualified to run a team, just a bunch of Hurney guys and a bunch of Rhule guys and they are all going no where. Ohh and Tepper who is even less qualifed than any of those people Burn it all down. Hire a consultant like Colbert or continue to be a clown show.
  5. That would be an improvement for him. Usually he can't stay on topic or on message. Might give some hope that the owner is learning something on the actual football side.
  6. Well if we whiff on the oline guys again I guess that is just setting Sam up for success in his best situation lol. It's all just brutal.
  7. Isn't Sam such a better QB with time in the pocket? No, that's weird... It's a sales pitch and some have already eaten it up.
  8. Absolutely not but when people say 'Well so and so said it' and then take it as a fact in a debate I think that can be called out. Both those guys a very suspect and there is enough BS flying around in the last 24 hours to prove both our points.
  9. Damage control from last years mess and mistakes. It wouldn't matter because Sam is worse with time in the pocket. Even if they can vastly improve the Oline, which is in doubt, it's not fixing Sam. It was a terrible trade and a terrible idea to pick up the 5th year option. It's just more salesman BS. One just sounds better.
  10. Meyer needs to retire. I wouldn't wish him upon HS kids.
  11. That is purely speculation sadly. I get it's probably better than Rhule but there are heaps of evidence from their first year for heavey skepticism. I personally think it's same difference. Fitts just looks more NFL experienced, I have have serious doubts about his abilities. His trade happy butt makes me very nervous. He went all in at 3-0, made right now trades and mentioned playoffs. He could do a lot more damage to next years high picks. I'm putting my hope in the complete cleaning house of 2023 right now. Maybe Fitts earns respect or he is just more of the same, substandard. Just talking good isn't enough for me at this point. We will see shortly.
  12. Slow would believing either of those guys at this point. Fitts is just so much better at the talking part, he actually looks believable where Rhule looks like a fat kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Putting all the 'who is responsible for what part of this mess' completely to the side, do you really trust either one at face value?
  13. He can't evaluate talent or coach it up. Sadly it wouldn't change enough by taking all roster decisions from him. He fugs up enough on game day to offset better roster building. This offseason already sounds like a mess waiting to happen. First up, hiring an OC that will help Rhule save his job. The offsrason roster stuff is sure to be entertaining again this offseason it looks like.
  14. Carrol lost a SB by not giving it to the right guy but his guy. Rhule is so obvious and it was a sad attempt to prop up Sam as 'good enough'. They both do the same things turned out to not be true, as all of us with brains knew.
  15. It could be a lot worse next year. Desperation combined with stupidity usually is not a recipe for success. If they felt comfortable last offseason what the hell is a lot more pressure going to add to the process?
  16. I call BS. Giving Fitt full control is too much like giving Rhule full control, there is nothing to indicate it wouldn't be a long shot because there is no supporting evidence he has any experience with that. He came from an organization that is ruled by the HC but now we are giving him DG control? Hard pass. This guy reminds me of Hurney. Underperformed but it's always the HC. Sounds like a guy who is more skilled at the politics then the actual job.
  17. The funny thing is that Fitts is supposed to be a Gettleman type. Rhule stated clearly he wanted a talent evaluator before going hard to hire Fitts. Then they make a ton of bad calls and not it's all Rhule and Fitts is just doing his job? WTF makes anyone comfortable with either after last offseason.
  18. He signed on to be Rhule's yes man. I have no idea why people want that kind of GM to be turned lose like Rhule was. It's really desperate when we could do a lot better. We went from interviewing Berry to the guy who is qualified to get him coffee and we are supposed to be happy with that? The only guy we interviewed with Rhule that was promising turned down the job and went back to the 49ers. He is a Rhule quality GM, that should be enough to not want him around. He constantly did a poor job but it's all on Rhule. I call BS
  19. Enough to fire Rhule and Fitts in one graph. JFC that is bad.
  20. He is a polished turd where Rhule is just a slimly turd. He at least knows how to speak NFL vs Rhule bumbling along. He took a CB over a QB or franchise LT in the first. The guy he drafted in the 3rd is still a maybe with the time he had on the field this year. He also signed 2 dud free agents the first day of free agency. I wouldn't put too much hope in a Rhule GM. The dude sent the farm for Sam and then picked up his 5th year option. Either he is a yes man or he stinks at his job. He only looks good next to Rhule and that is not saying much at all. And his trading last year was ass. The only positive about Rhule staying is we can fire both and hire better people next year.
  21. Cam already said he wants to go to a contender and not a 5 win team. That would mean he is not coming back here. We get Darnold or another busted QB. At best we get a serial sexual predator...it's grim AF in Pantherland right now and at least Cam escaped with some nice pocket change for being underplayed.
  22. It's almost like this year proved nothing to this crew. Analytics, it's what we ignore apparently.
  23. How does Pep feel about that? Does this bring us closer to having to deal with a Watson trade and that aftermath?
  24. Let's see what it looks like in a week.
