  1. There is a breakdown of Bryce on YouTube where they show wide open receivers in the middle of the field that Bryce clearly can’t see because of his height. This happened over and over again. Its going to be an issue.
  2. You’re talking about the point guard comments?
  3. His processing is elite. This is #1-A of what separates elites from Tier 2. #1-B is availability. Can he go a full season and then win us a SB? Can he do that at 28 or 32?Brady, Manning, Brees, Etc almost never missed a start. Brady missed one I think. Manning never. Brees just 11 starts. I think we can do a ton to protect him, but he’s still going to get hit and at his size a big Aaron Donold hit could end his season. Draft him if Strouds processing is just not there, but don’t if Stroud is close. BTW…I fully expect Young will have the better rookie year. The proof will be what happens in year 3-5 when the hits start piling up on that small frame.
  4. Yep, it’s not size it’s lack of durability due to being undersized. Its a legit concern.
  5. If Bryce was 6’2, Justin Fields would be looking for a new team.
  6. That’s like saying, without the rose bowl do you take Herbert? Same situation really. Sometimes these guys can do a lot more but don’t because of their system and game plan. The question is what can they actually do? The Georgia game showed what he’s capable of.
  7. That’s the dilemma right? Do you take the Better QB who is most likely going to have injury issues, or do you take a ‘lesser’ QB who is less likely to have those issues? I’ve been on the Stroud train since the fall, but I’m starting to think the Panthers are going to go Young because of his intelligence.
  8. Young is the better QB. I don’t think that is in question. The question is he durable enough for a long NFL career?
  9. It’s definitely been a very eventful few years.
  10. All valid points but what’s the alternative? Hope someone falls to 9? Roll with Darnold? Sign Rogers for $50 mill? All the options suck in some way.
  11. The Bears wanted a sure thing in DJ instead of another lottery ticket. Smart.
  12. How many games did he play in the SEC though? We’re talking about a guy playing 17+ games a year for 10-15 years while aging. Its a very different thing.
  13. I think Young would be a slam dunk if he were bigger. I just think he’s going to get crushed. Either way, it will make next year fun at the very least.
  14. If Stroud has IT mentally, he’s a slam dunk. No way for us fans to know that though.
  15. Think of it like this. Without a QB, DJ was a waste. Given the situation, we had to decide between a wr or a QB. WR are easier to find than QBs so DJ had to go. All I can say is they better choose correctly or we are toast.
  16. No, Lamar would cost 45-50 million on top of those 2 first rounders.
  17. They won’t take a QB. A blue chip non QB will fall to them (edge rusher). Pete loves some defense.
  18. I wonder if the Texans would tell the panthers who they are picking.
  19. They’ll be motivated if they know #1 is going to someone else. For the bears, they could get a 2nd this year from the Texans plus a 1st (next year), 2nd this year, maybe a 2nd next year from us.
  20. I was responding to someone who said it doesn’t matter if we choose wrong, it’s just a few picks. No, choosing wrong (in a trade up scenario) pretty much means a top 5 pick next year + no picks to fix the problem.
  21. A miss at QB could mean those ‘few draft picks’ turn into missing out on a better QB prospect next year.
