  1. The last place team drafted him. They were literally the worst team in the league when they drafted him. My point is they were not a good team when they drafted him. Bottom of the league. A team that had struggled to make the playoffs and have any sort of stability with Hugh Jackson as their HC drafted him. He broke rookie records and looked solid. He sucked under Kitchens and looked good the following year. Why would Cleveland not just draft a QB? Throw away 3 first round picks and give $250 million to a guy who is a sexual predator and will miss 11 games?? Think about it. Watson has a ton of talent and franchises like US, the Falcons (who lost Matt Ryan over it), and the Saints were willing to go all in on this player. Like I said he is average IMO. Average can't outplay bad coaching/schemes. I assumed average was better than Darnold and McAdoo (who was an ok OC) would be a step up from Brady/whoever filled in when he was fired.
  2. I'd still say he is average. Looked solid as a rookie on the worst team in the league and had a good year in 2020 (yes with a solid roter). I was expecting a step forward not a savior, but damn we might be going backwards. It's getting clear that our players have little faith in Rhule and Co. Defensive players used incorrectly, lack of presnap motion on offense, only using 3 WRs, shuffling QBs and OL during TC and preseason. It's a joke...
  3. I don't even know who his top WR is and he does get sacked a lot. If we drafted him Rhule would probably have him looking the same if not worse.
  4. Not Fields... damn it. I was so high on him. He is still pretty young but that's a bad stat.
  5. I would think/HOPE Tepper has told them no extensions this year. Rhule isn't going to make it to next year.
  6. There is no way he said that to a legit source. Even if he believed it he wouldn't want the players knowing it. Also why would he take this job knowing that?? Surely he researched the team before he took the job.
  7. I think it's really hard to tell how talented our roster is because our coaches haven't been able to use the talent correctly or develop it. -Chinn was a great rookie LB and got moved to FS (he is still on the roster and has talent). -Horn, DJax, and Henderson all have physical talent, but should be man corners not this soft zone poo I have been seeing this year. -Burns is a solid pass rusher who is dropping back in coverage on 3rd and long. That's prime time for a sack and they have taken that away from him. -Brown flashes, but he has been the only player on the DL that is halfway decent at stopping the run. When he is playing bad he looks like he is trying to hard and getting out of his lane to overcompensate for the lesser talent around him -Shaq is a talented yet overpaid LB who looks like he has regressed so far this year. Woods is also a decent safety On offense we have arguable the best RB in the league, a QB who has shown he can help take a team to the playoffs, and a great WR in Moore. We have other WRs like TMJ and Higgins that our staff is refusing to let get any playing time. We have a great RT, BC looks the part of LG, Corbett is an average RG, and we just took Icky in the top 10 who everyone seemed to be on board with. Sorry for the long post, but our roster is good enough to win these games, but our coaching is killing us. It's hard to get a real value on these players when our coaches don't know how to use them correctly.
  8. 1A) Stroud then Young 1B) Levis then McCall 2) These need to prove themselves this season. Ward and Penix (he may be a one year wonder). Hall (BYU). Still a long season to go, but this is how I am seeing this class so far. Someone is going to try to “Josh Allen” Richardson from Florida. As for coach, I’m not 100% sold on Dorsey. He basically inherited the top offense and arguably top QB this year. I’m not holding it against him, but it’s nothing that impressive.
  9. Small school star that moved to a big conference with a road win at ranked Wisconsin in week 2 (still getting use to the new team) and looks like he is firing on all cylinders against Colorado St. He looks to have all the tools and height as well. I’m very intrigued….
  10. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/lists/2023-nfl-draft-quarterbacks-anthony-richardson-michael-penix-cameron-ward-bryce-young-tyler-van-dyke/
  11. I mean we have Horn playing soft zone 5 yards off the LOS with Chinn trying to play FS and Burns (our only pass rusher) dropping back into coverage on 3rd and long. No wonder teams are converting....
  12. It's like everyone but Tepper knows Rhule is going to be fired...
  13. He seems solid, but is also older than the rest.
  14. Give Pep Hamilton a young QB like Stroud/Young and let him do what he did for Andrew Luck, Justin Herbert, and Davis Mills. Lots of experience and is a local man.
  15. Fields fan here and I have said nothing bad about Horn. I don’t think Snow is using him correctly, but in other news water is wet…
  16. We don’t really need to do that. I’d try to trade CMC this offseason. Get rid of Shaq/RA/any overpaid JAG. We have 3 good young OL in Icky, BC, and Moton plus a good young WR in Moore all locked in for the next few years. Corral can be a cheap backup with potential. Insert a Young/Stroud with a good coach and our offense isn’t too far away. Horn, DJax, and Chinn (when used correctly) are good young defensive players. Brown needs some help on the DL, but he looked good last game. We are just having trouble finishing games in which a new coach and QB could correct.
  17. Firing Rhule/Snow would hopefully stop us from dropping Burns into coverage on 3rd and long, let Chinn play in the box, get our man CBs out of this soft zone they were playing, gets players like TMJ, and Higgins some playing time, and allow Bozeman to get his shot at C. It’s also lets our team/players know losing isn’t ok and we expect better. I’m not saying we will magically make a playoff run, but maybe it can inject some juice in our players on game day.
  18. Hill can just run wildcat all over our run defense.
  19. I kind of respect giving a coach time to build a team considering what a mess Rhule inherited. However, it's painfully obvious to all the fans/analysts etc that Rhule is in over his head and doesn't belong in the NFL. Waiting now is just being stubborn or dumb...
  20. Rhule is trying to figure out if he is going to get one win this year or not.
