Yeah, never build a team until we miraculously land a top 5 franchise QB! Great strategy!

How do I report SPAM on here?

I have a feeling Watson was more Tepper than Rhule, but yeah it has been ugly. Hopefully they have done some internal power restructuring, but who knows??
-
The fact that he is referring to fans who liked how cheap this trade was as "the sunshine club" should tell you all you need to know about this person.
-
2/4 for Baker are over 6 wins for him. (He got 7 as a rookie). He also went 6-8 last year with one shoulder which from a % standpoint is much better than we have been winning. Not saying he is the answer, but he should be a upgrade.

Telling a coach/FO he can’t move on from a mistake when there is such a cheap solution in what we did with Mayfield would be a dumb ass move by the owner. Make the whole team and fans suffer from a stupid mistake vs a 5th and 5 million to help correct it. That is a form of tanking. If you acquire a player and they don’t work out having an overbearing owner demand they still start is a recipe for disaster. It’s just angry fans wanting us to get the top pick to acquire Stroud (aka tanking).

He is also a bit of a *****…

Wanting our owner to force Rhule to start the worst QB in the league would be a form of tanking.
-
Dr Lunker assured me we weren’t getting Baker so I’m still skeptical. He also said Watson will be forced to play as a Texan.
-
Before we even drafted Corral (who you claimed sucked with this entire draft class of QBs) you wanted Tepper to make Rhule tank with Darnold. You stated it was a way for Tepper to fire Rhule easily next year. It was such a terrible idea/plan it still haunts me at night.
-
He has already shown stats countering that. YOU have even said he is mid-level at best. Mid-level out of 32 starters would be around the 14-18 range give or take. What is his record as a starter for the Browns 30-30? That's 500 which would be mid-level putting him right in that 15 range. Jesus man, I get you hate the guy but move on.
-
We will run with 3 QBs before we put Corral on the Practice Squad. I could see him being inactive for some games. PJ Walker should be gone unless we plan on unloading Darnold somehow. I could see us trading Darnold for pennies while eating most of his salary and using PJ as Baker's backup until Corral is ready.

If Baker is a bottom tier QB and Rhule is a terrible coach we should have a nice pick and can let Baker walk. Wash our hands free of him and let our new coach draft his guy to compete with Corral. If Corral is good we could have two young cheap QBs which is a great problem to have.
-
By what? Giving us a worse draft pick if he plays well? If he plays bad it shouldn't change much at all.
-
lol you can spell it out and this guy will still deny it and be upset. It’s such a low risk move and some people just want to be upset…

-Cleveland saw what they felt was an once in a generation situation where they could trade for a top 5 QB in the peak of his career (from a physical standpoint) in Watson. Watson as terrible as he is off the field is a huge upgrade over any average QB, so they jumped in and inquired which led to Baker demanding a trade. People are acting like they were the Niners a traded away 3 firsts for an uproven rookie because Baker sucked that bad. Yes it was a dumb move by the Browns and maybe we will benefit from it. -People worried about the future should know we still have Corral and if we get a new coach and Baker blows like people are saying we can draft one from this loaded class next year. The future is still pretty open unless people are concerned about Baker playing well which makes no sense. -We have people complaining about this staff being shitty and not giving Corral any reps. Do you want this same shitty staff starting him and developing him his rookie year? If this staff is as bad as you think then let's spare Corral and let Baker take the fall this year and get Rhule fired. Our new coach can decided if Corral is the guy or let him compete with whatever rookie he drafts. This trade was a good trade with little implications on our future that can be seen as a negative IMO...

Hugh Jackson and Kitchens definitely weren't the right coaches. He seemed to start clicking his 3rd year with a decent coach (not sure we have that...) and last year is hard to judge how much of an impact his injury had his following year. Is he the answer? Probably not. But there is still a bit of a question mark and we got him for dirt cheap. At worst he has shown he can plan the position with the right team around him (2020 season).
-
The thing is, I don't think anyone is saying he is going to be great or an elite QB. People are happy because we traded for an mid-level starting QB and gave up very little to acquire him. I am more excited about how little it cost/how easy it will be to move on from him if it fails. I just find it funny that people are all worked up over $5 million and a conditional 5th round pick.... It was a smart trade by our FO IMO.

*Good trade for an average starting QB -Huddle Posters- Bullshit franchise doesn't know what it's doing! Stop with the Baker dick riding you sunshiners! We are so screwed!!! He is either going to win too many games or suck! He is average at best but as good as Darnold! Gotta love this place...
