2 completely different blocking systems in 2 years for a pretty raw player is tough. -
Tanking for that 33 pick

Seriously, do y'all want a positive vibes only thread?

I haven’t noticed any posters who are “positive only.” I’ve seen some with some positives of certain players AKA Young that seems to bother others that don’t care for him. Example no one thinks our OL is great or Frank is crushing it that I’ve seen. Not many are pro Tepper and I’ve seen few pro Fitt at this point. No one thinks Young has an elite arm, but saying it is average isn’t accepted by some which is fine. -
Most QBs have to step into a throw that deep. There may be a select few with super human arms, but he isn’t one of those.
-
They both have better HCs so I’m sure their players are in better positions to maximize their skills.
-
I watched our defense handle him just fine and we weren’t very good in week 18. He was signed to be a backup. Assuming how things would turn out with different players under center us just an assumption and 20th out of 32nd isn’t good for a seasoned veteran QB.

A 3rd round rookie, average TE, and Collins was a JAG last year.
-
There is no way to know that. Dalton looked good one game. How did he play last year with the Saints?
-
Mahomes, but he has Kelce. Honestly it might be Stroud AKA he that shall not be named…
-
Nah Seattle has a weak secondary and were missing several players vs us. Ace is right.

Vikings?

To make him the best QB in the league currently. Burrow also has a lot of weapons as does Hurts and Purdy. This should be our goal.
-
Shouldn’t have included Moore in it without a replacement. Stroud would look better than Bryce but would still have issues in our offense IMO, but yeah if we took him the trade would have been acceptable.
-
Tua is doing ok. Literally leading the NFL in every stat and is 4-1.
-
Trade was dumb. Everyone (mostly) agrees with that.
-
We have to get some competent OGs around Young if we want him to get a consistent deep ball. What we have now makes it difficult to plant his feet (which he needs to do on deep passes) and launch it. Little guys need strong interior OL play, Brees always had great guards in front of him.
-
You don't think Young has shown progress each week?
-
I already know how this goes. I want to see a 20 yard out route because he can't throw it. Young throws it. I want to see him take a deep shot. Young does while getting hit and OVERTHROWS it. The response lol noodle arm can't throw it deep. Just wait when he connects it will be "about time" "only one" "that guy was wide open."

I'm calling bullshit. Sorry man. It looks and smells like a bait thread and it got you the stream of clicks/reactions you wanted. Including these from me. Good job. -

I want to know who in the world thought Bryce had an elite arm? Where did that come into play for that to even be in your mind?? Every scouting report called his arm average. They want him to become a smaller version of Burrow or Brees. Those are some comps I have seen. I guess they can't win in the NFL right? -

If he has an average arm and can make all the throws who knows where he will land. He is showing flashes with absolute poo around him. He was the top rated QB in this draft by most analysts so they are seeing some traits that will translate very well. Let's build a team around him and who is to say he won't become a top 10 QB. What makes Burrow elite? What made Manning elite? Brady? Brees? None of these guys hand cannons or were some crazy physical specimen of QBs. Give him some play makers and he will get them the ball accurately and on time. He was very clutch in college and hopefully that will carry over to this level as well in time.
