No way a team that drafted another QB preferred Young???? These posters are going to spin this and jump through so many hoops to try to deny it.

Yeah there are 32 teams. He listed 3 that wanted to trade up to 1 for Young. Panthers, Raiders, and Texans. Any of the other teams could have him off their board. I don't know what you are so defensive about this? These aren't 3 well ran franchises anyway....

That's how much they preferred him. Raiders wanted him as well and inquired about trading up.

Before the seasons started we stated it was going to start of rough but hopefully by the end of the year look a lot better. Reich has said multiple times that this year is about developing Young. Even if we wanted to compete having Young play through an ankle injury isn't smart. Look at the issues Burrow is having because they played him through a calf injury.

It was leaked that Houston wanted him. We now have Houston players saying they are glad they won that meaningless game and didn't get the first pick because that's how they got Stroud.

We were far from the only team to have Young over Stroud including the team that drafted Stroud. Again both QBs have a long way to go to decide which was the better pick. Victory laps after week 3 are foolish. Hell in Rhule’s first quarter of a season we thought he was the next great coach and were talking about playoffs.

Playing on a bad ankle in a year we aren’t a threat is a terrible risk. It’s a good way to develop bad habits or get a much more serious injury. I agree 100% about protecting players from themselves.

My point is it has more to do with scheme/coaching after watching him put up 70 with Hill and not much else. Also Evero’s Denver defense looks a lot worse without him there…

It’s scheme/coaching to me. Who is their TE? Robbie Chosen had a 68 yard TD and they probably just signed him for pennies. The funny thing is fans were wanting to fire McDaniels for Sean Payton. Overreacting fans can be very short sighted.

Trades for future assets should work. This year is about getting our rookie QB developed. I wouldn't be against seeing the if the Jets will offer something decent for Dalton, and I would see what Burns can get us. We aren't in any shape to pay for a $30 million pass rusher. Let a contender do that.

Do they have the most talented offense? People were down on Tua, the OL doesn't make many stars, they have journeymen RBs, I don't know who their TE even is, Waddle has been hurt. They have Hill and a great offensive minded HC. Robbie Chosen had the second most receiving yards on one catch with a TD.

Coming from someone who was team Stroud, I would be very careful about taking victory laps after week 3 in terms of draft prospects. There was a time when Mods cracked down on bumping old threads now I login and there are like 4-5 all at the top....

The whole point of this season is to develop our rookie QB. Yes he should start when healthy. Winning a few extra games with Dalton would be meaningless in the long term. I wouldn’t be against trading Dalton to the Jets and trading Burns for a first plus some. Start building some future assets to build a team around our new QB.

15 year vet who was a starter for a long time against a depleted secondary with 58 passing attempts. Of course he put up better numbers! Huddle is Huddling like crazy…

Luvu is out, Shaq is our, Horn is out. Two LBs plus your best CB is tough for a defense to play without.
