Rumor has it Zane saw Corral constantly drilling 120 yard FGs so now he is concerned about his roster spot.

Probably Packers as well…

Our WRs are a big ? outside of Moore. Moore can be a legit number 1, Anderson is a good deep threat but probably a 3/4 in a good offense (I know he sucked last year, but our whole offense was a mess and teams knew what plays we were running). CMC helps boost them quite a bit and can fill in a slot on a lot of plays (honestly he is one of the better slot WRs when he is lined up). The big question is can TMJ become a 2. If he can we should have a solid WR core with DJ 1, TMJ 2, Robbie 3, CMC in and out at slot, Higgins as probably the 4 (already has chemistry with Baker) and one of the young guys stepping in for depth (Z, Saunders, Shi Smith).

Burrow is looking pretty good as well.

Plus we have Wilks coaching up all these talented young corners.

I see Sam to the Rams possibly in the near future...

That actually could possibly work better than normal maybe perhaps???? -
Regardless of how this all turns out, if I was told after last year our QB room would be Baker and Corral I would be thrilled. Baker/Corral is so much better than Sam/PJ. We have a capable starter with some upside, plus a promising rookie and that is a win considering our QB room lately. -Not to mention the OL overhaul with Ickey, Bozeman, and Corbett!

https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2020/09/why-nfl-analyst-chris-simms-ranked-baker-mayfield-no-21-out-on-his-top-40-nfl-qbs-for-2020-and-where-hell-be-next-year.html?outputType=amp Here is Simms talking about Baker. Constantly high on his arm and said he has the talent to be a top 10 or even 5 QB in this league. The arm talent is legit, decision making and personality are the negatives for him.

Or CMC, Cam Newton, and Luke plus a huge portion of our cap dedicated to him. It just depends on how you look at it. Also we shouldn't want him on our team. If the Browns want to put their head in the sand and act like he is not some creepy predator than let their team and fans do that. I'll stick with Baker's immaturity or Corral's BS off field issues that were exaggerated for the draft.

I hope Howell has a nice career for himself in Washington. I feel like even if he outplays Wentz, Rivera won’t start the rookie…
-
Yep. If he is the real deal, he will get his chance to show it.
-
I’m pretty much the same. Get rid of Sam and let Corral and Baker battle it out. I’d assume Baker would start the season and if he struggles or we are out of the playoff race start working Corral into the lineup.
-
I don’t think anyone here dislikes Corral. The two groups are people who want him to start right away and people who want him to sit first. If he is the answer I’d assume most people here will be happy!
-
I heard he didn’t sleep and just stayed on the field all night.

Man you really aren’t grasping it. The Browns OL is a solid unit. They helped Baker get that terrible franchise to the playoffs in 2020. LAST YEAR they were banged up and didn’t play well with the backup tackles. As already stated Baker (who was injured week 2) was sacked more than Sam last year with higher pressure rates and less average pocket time. That all was stated before you derailed this thread because you have some built up Baker anger inside you or something. https://thespun.com/.amp/nfl/nfl-network-analyst-getting-crushed-for-baker-mayfield-claim Michael Robinson said Baker didn’t have a top 64 ARM. Which was a pure ignorant statement about a QB who has the longest recorded thrown pass. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/baker-mayfields-overthrown-hail-mary-is-the-longest-pass-ever-recorded-in-an-nfl-game/amp/ Baker’s weaknesses are mental ones. Immaturity, bad decisions (crazy high INTs his sophomore year), but his arm is great and one of the reasons he was drafted with the first pick.
-
Keep backing it up. You will get there.
-
Yep. Plenty of reasons to hate on Baker, yet this person makes up nonsense. He has been shown data that shows the Cleveland OL struggles last year (due to injuries) and I think it’s down to his pride. Sometimes we are simply wrong and it’s ok to admit it.

Saturday Panthers Back Together Practice - Who’s Going?
ForJimmy replied to falconlynx's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think they are hoping Corral can get up to speed enough to get with the 2s and become the backup. Then they can ditch Sam and get him off the roster. -
https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/browns-steelers-baker-mayfield-offensive-line/ Here is the “blaming the OL” article. It’s funny because the writer blames the OL (that is banged up and not as good as advertised). Baker said Hudson had a rough assignment going against and All-Pro in Watt with so few starts. Then says “I don’t want to turn this into me blaming our OL because I’m not. I could have played better and our whole offense as a unit could have played better.”
-
“Most analysts believe Sam will win the job?” Yeah that is coming right out if your ass. Why would they trade for Baker in the first place? Again offensive line preseason rankings don’t matter if they get injured. I can see you backed yourself into a corner and have turned into the making up poo talking nonsense phase. Why don’t YOU find some of these articles about Baker blaming his OL or one if these “majority” analysts that believe Sam will win the starting job. Steve Smith was mocking the “QB Conpetition” today at TC.
