I was we wait until 2026/2027 to draft our QB. Arch Manning will be available. If that doesn't work we can wait out Chosen Newton...

Garry broke it earlier....

If he knew and was willing to tell like he is hinting, he would just drop the actual deal and look like a real source when it comes out. He just joined to troll...

I was thinking of how the Ravens did it with Lamar and the Niners had a few plays for Lance before he got injured. It’s a good way to get them use to game speed as they learn. The Bills just rolled out Allen after 4 weeks and let him take his lumps. There are multiple ways of doing it and I’m sure everyone thinks there way is the right way.

This is not the thread for logic or rational thoughts!!!

People on here need to stop doubting Garry Cobb…
-
Just explained why it was pointless because it applies to any QB we draft. I think McAdoo can develop one as good as your average OC can.

Aside from last year’s week 14 injury, Lamar hadn’t missed a game from an injury was 4 years prior. Burrow has missed a much larger % of starts than Lamar. https://www.essentiallysports.com/nfl-news-lamar-jackson-injury-report-how-many-games-will-he-miss-for-the-ravens/amp/

Most QBs struggle their rookie year. It’s just part of the process. There are always exceptions, but even last year’s loaded class struggled as a whole. 2 years to get a QB to elite play should be expected…
-
Almost every elite QB is an “exception” in some way or a rare talent that the stars will line up for like Cam/Luck. Tom Brady was a 6th round pick, Russ was a 3rd and too short, Allen was a raw prospect with bad college numbers, Mahomes was a system QB, Burrow was a one year wonder, Herbert was disappointing at Oregon, Jackson was too small to run like he did in college. IF you land an elite QB, it would more than likely be an exception. They all have risks.

They are a stacked team. He wouldn’t need to do much…

As someone stated, I wonder how the Texans feel about enabling the Colts (rival) to obtain Matt Ryan…

From what I’ve read he seems humble and is a hard worker. Give me that with those physical traits and it’s definitely worth a shot. I get the hesitation, I was also high on Trey Lance for similar reasons. You can’t coach/teach those physical traits and they both seem to have the intelligence and work ethic to be successful in this league. I would be ok with an OL as well, if there isn’t a QB we like.

He did good against VA Tech which I would imagine had superior athletes. I really like his maturity level and he seems humble. His arm is a strong NFL arm. I think he checks a lot of boxes if we can develop him right.

Allen had processing?? Umm you might want to check out his college stats. The man was very raw with under 2000 passing yards and 56% completion only 16 TDs and 6 INTs his last year. If he had processing down so does every QB in this draft...
-
lol look at his blockers (and I use the term loosely) chasing their guys from behind even on the brief highlight GIF.
-
You can design plays/an offense for him to get involved in the second half of the season. Some simple read options etc…
-
I've been preaching this the whole time. His OL was awful against lower competition and nonexistent against SEC teams like Ole Miss. He still got Liberty ranked and beat Va Tech and Syracuse, teams he had no business playing close with the talent gap. He needs to refine his game because he (like Howell last year) had to play hero ball with a bad OL and WRs that couldn't get separation. His passing yards are low because his attempts were low. People need to go look at Josh Allen's stats in college...

He had a birthday yesterday. He is probably hungover....

Watson Thread(s) Superlatives
ForJimmy replied to USDepartmentOfSavagery's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would fit into that. I don’t really want him, but it’s a damn entertaining thread. -
Saying he beat the Canes is personal? I’m pretty sure it’s just a fact.
