How would you feel if we cut Chuba and signed Hunt?
Stuart Smith replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Chubba can be an asset. He may not be a #1 back, but he has obviously worked to improve his pass catching ability. We do not need to bring the baggage Kareem Hunt brings with his past. Not a good fit for the Panthers. -
Given the length Tepper has gone to in an effort to put a winning team on the field I think he will be very disappointed with 7 wins also.
-
I hope we have more that another 7 win season. There is more enthusiasm now in the Panther fan base than there has been for several years. To win only 7 games again and say “it will take a year or two” will be unacceptable for many fans. You will continue to see empty seats.

The performance of our offensive line will determine the ceiling of this team.

Hope he catches a ride out of town with Erving.

Positive from Today: Bryce Young's Talent in One Play
Stuart Smith replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
The offensive line still concerns me more than anything. Carolina’s offensive line will have to bring their A game every week. Carolina’s opponents (the D line) will be trying to make a highlight film by sacking the number one draft pick. I hope that this coaching staff is truly evaluating the talent on this roster, because if they are Cam Erving and Michael Jordan will not make the final 53. If I accept the fact that the Jets were running stunts and schemes you normally do not see in preseason I still cannot accept the lack of effort by the offensive line. If you get pushed back off the OL consistently and collapse the pocket you are a liability. It will be interesting to see which offensive linemen make the final 53. -
Bryce is still in one piece.

I know this is preseason and we have a different team, a lot of new faces. However, playing in your home stadium with as much anticipation as fans have had for this season this result is very disappointing. Although no group distinguished themselves the offensive line was atrocious. Some of these players that are on the roster as backups do not help if they are on the roster for game one. Chicago fans are smiling after this display thinking the Panthers #1 pick might be a top 10 pick.
-
I knew when we resigned Cam Erving it was not a good sign.

I would guess it comes from the same place the sub sandwich shops get theirs. Might be warehoused differently at some locations.

Anybody else think we are putting to much on Bryce's plate?
Stuart Smith replied to DennisM1's topic in Carolina Panthers
Chubba actually showed a lot of improvement from year 1 to last year on dropped passes. He was not bad last year. -
Look around for the toilet paper.

Probably like quarterbacks, might be the best ava I just hope the fans will be patient with Bryce. You know as highly as he was touted every team we play will have extra motivation to capitalize on mistakes he makes. It will still be a process.

It will be huge if he does step up this year. Although he needs to prove it, it may save us from spending a draft pick on that position next year.

It’s not going to be cheap to retain Derrick Big Baby Brown

He would not have been there in round 2. -
Jaycee Horn says he's "ready to go"
Stuart Smith replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
The last chapter hasn’t been written. Jaycee might still turn out to be as good as advertised. Like everyone else, I hope he stays healthy this season. -
If he really did refuse to play when available to avoid injury I fail to see how that will change in the NFL.

Unfortunately some people use religion just to help their agenda. It is usually not difficult at all for most of us to realize that fact. Unfortunately there are those who paint everyone who is a person of faith with a broad brush because of a few. If you spend any substantial amount of time around someone you can discern the difference in someone who is a true person of faith. Their actions tell who they are.

I agree with you on the 2015 NFC championship game. The little Panther towels that were given to Panther fans upon entering the stadium were awesome…I still look at mine and dream about using it again someday. The smug look on the Cardinal fans seated next to my wife and I quickly disappeared as the game progressed, and they were pretty quiet. The stadium was rocking that night, it will be again if we field a similar team. Panther Fans will come out of the woodwork.

Panthers-Charlotte current stadium agreement ends.

Three fourth of the owners have to approve a relocation. An astute owner knows he has the votes before he attempts a move. -
Anyone who writes New Orleans off too early this year may be surprised. Carr is playing where he may succeed. With Michael Thomas and Chris Olive he has 2 very good receivers. They drafted A.T. Perry from Wake Forest who may surprise. I am not convinced the NFL South will be the weakest division in the NFL as some are. Atlanta may surprise.

ESPN lays off employees, with more cuts to come

Wish it was Kiper. -
I may be in the minority, but I wonder if part of Henderson’s issue is effort. It actually looked to me last year that when he was beat on a play he gave up. I know he has Sometimes the players have issues in life that have nothing to do with football. At some point with C.J. Henderson you have to ask if he loves football enough to improve his focus, or is it truly a skill set issue. This year will be his “prove it” year for sure.
