  1. He most definitely doesn't have a cannon. I'd say maybe slightly above average (and that might be a stretch). I do think he has good touch on his throws and did a pretty good job throwing with anticipation to a bunch of JAG receivers Baylor had. His mechanics probably need to be rebuilt - footwork is god awful on many of his throws. His peak is a reliable QB2, his floor is never being heard from again in a few years
  2. If Robinson can learn to read defenses, he could be good for a short passing offense (wouldn't mind drafting him in the 6th or 7th). His deep ball is bad though and he floats it way too much
  3. No (and will probably never be an inline TE). Capable blocker against safeties, corners, and lighter LBs, but no chance he can block down linemen or stronger LBs. His route tree is running down the seams and screen passes (from his tape at Oregon). So pretty much nonexistent.
  4. Equal parts bad and unrealistic draft... Going beyond how much I don't like Sadiq, Logan Jones in the 2nd is a stupid reach, Jacas likely doesn't make it to the 3rd round, and Abney definitely doesn't make it to the 4th round.
  5. I take it as... He also took the S2 test a billion times and scored well on it. And tiny hands Pickett does sound like a good Robin to our midget QB
  6. Could just be precautionary. It's a cheap 1 year deal and I'm curious how much of it is guaranteed. Could end up being a camp body cut if Brooks is healthy (or we draft another RB who we like more).
  7. Yeah, I thought he played better the 2nd half of the season also. That being said, he definitely got picked apart in the playoff game and only got the INT in the other Rams game because of DB deflecting the ball at the LOS
  8. I think that's good value. I'm in the minority, but I actually thought Nick Scott played pretty well the 2nd half of the year, minus the Rams playoffs game. Hopefully he isn't our starting FS next year and can be backup FS and be the special teams contributor he should have been since day 1 from us.
  9. I still think Sadiq has too many red flags to take with our 1st round pick. We are talking about a guy that averaged 40 yards/game, despite having a spread offense that is easy to produce yards in with Oregon + a Heisman caliber QB. You can have all the straight line speed and vertical in the world - if you don't know how to run routes, read zone defenses, and use your body to body up defenders to make contested catches, you aren't going to be great in the NFL. His athleticism does not show up on tape at all for me and I don't see him being successful as an inline tight end. If we are going to take a chance on tight ends that disappointed in college that probably can't be an inline TE, I would much rather use a pick on Klare in the 3rd round.
  10. XL realized he could just run out of bounds and not get charged with drops instead of staying in bounds and dropping the balls thrown to him...
  11. It would be pretty impressive if the Canes manage to lose the ECF in less than 4 games...
  12. He has definitely been an OT I'm curious about. Could be a guy that falls to the early part of the second round if we somehow trade down
  13. Really? I hate the falcons and their fans, but most of their reddit have said it's inexcusable what he has done, he won't play another game for them, and hate their front office for ignoring his red flags trading up for him
  14. Sadly, the guy probably would have not gotten a bad punishment if he didn't get the battery of a law enforcement charge. Guy is fuged. And honestly reading that his father was telling his ex (rickea Jackson) to watch out for his son is pretty damning. Pearce needs help ASAP before he does something far, far worse
  15. Dude waits until the start of free agency to then retire... Maybe he thought he was going to get more, didn't, and then said screw taking wear and tear on his body for a small contract
  16. We can always draft a WR. I think we are probably giving XL one more training camp and if he doesn't have it together by the trade deadline, he is gone
  17. In all fairness, none of them had to battle back from leukemia also. Guy missed his rookie year because of it then has had to hop from team to team. But yeah, I'll be surprised if he is anything higher than #4 receiver
  18. Run game will depend on if the oline can run block. With Ickey out, run blocking to the left side will be much worse. Granted, it seemed like we never ran it to the left side the last half of the season for whatever reason
  19. We probably carry 6 receivers. Locks: Tet, Coker Likely: XL, Tremayne Battle for last 2 spots: Metchie, Horn, Moore (unless XL is traded)
  20. Guessing it's a cheap deal. If I recall from before he was drafted, he supposedly ran a good route tree in college, but lacked athleticism to separate against good corners. Hopefully he can be a guy that runs the intermediate routes (curl, comeback, deep in, deep out) and can move the chains for us when needed.
  21. Yeah, the fact that deferred contracts to this extremity were ever allowed is why MLB is a joke. The Dodgers being able to defer over a billion dollars in 2025 to pay players 15-20 years down the road should have never been allowed. I know everybody says "so what, any team can do it", but I don't think people understand how much easier it is to make money and be uber profitable in NYC and LA in comparison to Minnesota, Milwaukee, etc. I honestly think the 2027 lockout might get a bit ugly. I think the bottom-tier teams will not want a salary floor because they have to spend more (when they know their team sucks) and the top teams (yankees, mets, dodgers) won't want a salary cap because they are able to outspend most other teams because of the markets they are located in. The MLBPA obviously wants their star players to continue to get contracts north of half a billion dollars. I know most people think it will only be a month or so, but I think we are looking at a long delay (like 2/3 of the season or longer).
  22. 100% we are not taking a C 1st round. I'm just saying these are needs and drafting a WR in the 1st round (that will be a late 1st/early 2nd pick) will mess up position of needs later on with our draft picks. Only receivers I could see us thinking about drafting at 19 are Tate (who isn't falling to us) or Lemon (who probably won't fall to us).
