Grinding the ball running is simple. Passing game can require a lot of thinking, blocking schemes and such. If you dedicate to run game, it simplifies the O-line assignments, hat on a hat. See man, hit man. It will flow off of that, if you establish that run game it makes the playaction more effective, it makes them more hesitant to focus on pass rush. Run the ball.
