For those in the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC market...
PanthersATL replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
You're lucky. CBS Atlanta is supposedly showing Texans/Jags. You'd think that they'd at least want to show something in-conference if given a chance. Then again, maybe this is a mistake in their listings too. One can only hope. -
Bet on the Panthers, get a free authentic Panthers Jersey

And... confirmed -- this is NOT an option for the Cherokee NC casinos, despite Harrah's Cherokee marketing of this national promotion Their marketing team will look into adding some disclaimers to their marketing so as to to mislead their customers. -

Keep in mind that the various TV guide providers may display different information, depending on when/how they receive their updates from the station or the network and when they push those updates out to subscribers/clients/providers. Wouldn't be the first time a specific listing wasn't accurate vs info from other sources. Where I am, a local channel was showing a very specific local program (they advertised it on the air and they promoted it for a week). But the guide continued to mention "Paid Programming" in the timeslot and on the DVR recording metadata. The recorded program was correct - it definitely was not "Paid Programming" as would have been aired normally. In this case, I just chalk it up to someone at the station didn't submit their program change to all the proper entities OR the guide staff didn't push the update down the line. In these cases, I just shrug and go "oh well". I know, not helpful for your situation. -
Something tells me this may not be valid in North Carolina at the Harrah's Cherokee locations. NC is definitely not mentioned in the "official rules". But, if this is your thing: bet $100 in September, get a $150 credit for NFL Shop to buy a jersey. Details: https://www.williamhill.com/us/nfl-opt-in

Curious whether any Panthers execs were part of the survey, and where THEY ranked us.

Enjoying it as well, but it's not the "laugh riot" that a series with Martin and Short (and Nathan Lane) would suggest it could be. I expected more madcap silliness, but it has more poignant moments than I personally would like.

Well, looks like LoCast may not be around for much longer, maybe. Today, the US court of Appeals ruled that Locast may be violating broadcasters' "no retransmission" copyright. Because Locast wasn't charging anything - it merely asked for donations - they felt that they didn't have to ask permission from the stations that they were rebroadcasting. The EFF (fighting on behalf of Locast) claims that Locast is a non-profit AND helping to ensure that "every American has access to their local broadcast stations". Locast says that their 3m users either can't afford cable or get the local station via OTA means, so this ruling is akin to cutting those 3m users off from local news and info during a pandemic. =-=-= Counterpoint: The "cut from local news and info during a pandemic" line may not fly much these days, as every local station has some manner of making their news information available online, whether it be streaming off their own website or via some authorized third party distributor such as Amazon Fire's news app, Roku, or others. Same holds true for the national broadcast content (Hulu, Paramount+, etc)

Just verbatim-ing from the report for others. He previously said "His own covid battle set him back, making it harder to learn the playbook"

if this pans out, that one Thursday Night game we have will become a WHOOOOOLE lot more interesting

The Patriots cut Cam without getting anything in compensation from a team looking to make a trade The Panthers cut Cam without getting anything in compensation from a team looking to make a trade The only difference in these two scenarios is that no team in their right mind would pony up anything for a Cam trade the day before/day of team cuts - hoping that they could pick him up without having to sacrifice any trade items. The timing of the Panthers cut provided Cam the best timeline for a team to grab him and integrate him into their system before the season started. All things being equal - I'd suggest that the Panthers timed Cam's departure a heck of a lot better in terms of benefiting Cam's potential future than the Patriots did.

Seems legit:

prices are based on future deliveries, so a drop suggests no issue with the next shipment (that we know of)

NBC has announced some changes on Football Night in America. Mike Tirico remains as studio host. Maria Taylor will join him as a co-host. Drew Brees joins the show as well. Tirico, Tony Dungy and Brees will be the main studio team. Taylor will be teamed with Chris Simms. Brees? Dunno if that'll be worthwhile to listen to. seems like everybody is scrambling (!) to get a former QB on the air to do color, when who you really want is someone like Olsen who knows what he's talking about AND is good at it

If you are running into issues finding gas stations with gas, use the Availability Tracker here: https://www.gasbuddy.com/go/heres-how-to-find-gas-stations-with-fuel-and-power-in-tropical-storm-ida Try not to cause Panic Buying. Example: southern florida is not serviced by the Colonial Pipeline, but there were lines and stations out of fuel during the last Colonial shutdown as people in that area believed that they wouldn't be able to obtain gasoline.

Oooooh, so close to having another reasonable option for watching NFL online. Almost sounds like FOX's answer to NFL's RedZone, but something tells me that this may be FOX-specific rather than across all networks (ala RedZone or ESPN's NFL highlights show) =-=-=- FOX has announced that they will be expanding their (free) TUBI streaming channel to include sports, including NFL. Tubi’s curated NFL channel will include “near-to-live” in-season digital highlights plus replays of “some of the most memorable matchups in NFL history” and library content including past seasons of the series “Hard Knocks.” the Tubi hub also will comprise nearly 700 hours of on-demand content at launch from the NFL, MLB, Nascar, Big Ten, Concacaf soccer, PBC boxing, PBA bowling and more. https://variety.com/2021/digital/news/tubi-free-live-sports-channels-fox-nfl-mlb-1235048068/

Can't be him - he's not wearing a KUECHLY jersey. (would a former player ever wear their own jersey casually?)

I would have liked to see Tepper insist on the Absolute Best Turf in the NFL, as opposed to Just As Good As Other Stadium turfs. Have we heard any reports of how our turf compares to the turf in other stadiums? Thicker, lusher, softer, more turgid, anything?

I wouldn't say "fake". I'd say "predetermined". What happens in the ring may be contrived, but there's a lot of effort/pain/work involved in making it look as real as it can be.

From a pulled back muscle perspective, I've run into that on occasion (been told it's fixable by More Exercise and Losing Weight). Typically, goes away after 1-2 weeks of careful moving/sitting/lack-of-lifting, and one (sometimes two) Aleve a day. More medically-oriented Huddlers will have better advice and insight
