  1. Yup. I think Mayfield got a raw deal but I still don’t want him.
  2. Can you imagine these guys paired with rookie Trevor Benning @ LT? We’d have the nastiest and most hated OL in the league LOL!!!
  3. Have feeling based on Bozeman’s size and resume that he might fill in at LG. That’s we’re he played 2 years prior to C last year. At least he has the flexibility to play both at a high level and we know how much Rhule loves flexibility.
  4. I agree about the signing but I wouldn’t count on Armstead or Gilmore. The latter looks to be heading to the Raiders and Armstead is going to be too expensive.
  5. This is actually a good signing. Replenish depth on the DL. I’d venture to say this offseason’s FA signings are indicative of a more collaborative effort than year’s past.
  6. DT released by Washington earlier this week. Good depth signing after cutting Fox.
  7. I agree and share your concerns. The hiring of more experienced coaches like Campen & McAdoo along with the recent FA acquisitions so far give me a glimmer of hope that things just might turn around.
  8. I’m hearing Armstead has a pending offer from the Dolphins. We may not have a shot after all.
  9. I wouldn’t mind him at all. I can see NFC North rival Ravens being interested with the possibility of losing Bozeman
  10. Agree with you about his liabilities in coverage. He’s still good in run support, TE coverage and occasional blitzes. That’s the best way to use him IMO.
  11. Actually this should allow Chinn to move back to SS.
  12. Agree but not as a LB. He’s a SS and should be used accordingly. Even a hybrid role is okay but I think he’s more valuable as a safety.
  13. ESPN reporting Mitch Trubisky is signing with the Steelers.
  14. I don’t think Bienemy is on anyone’s radar. He’s been inexplicably passed over by multiple teams with HC openings over the last few years. If any of this is true about Watson (which I think is highly doubtful and pure speculation), look for Brian Flores to be at the top of the list to replace Rhule.
  15. If our roster was in better shape and we had the draft capital, I’d be all for it. As our roster stands now, and with what we’d have to give up, it would set us back due to the salary cap implications and the young talent we’d probably lose on defense. All this said, Tepper is the ultimate decision maker and if he wants him bad enough he’ll definitely make it happen.
  16. Philly definitely has the draft capital to swing a trade. I can see the offering multiple picks this year with a player or two like Jalen Hurts, Jalen Raeger and/or Fletcher Cox. Seattle has similar draft capital thanks to the Russell Wilson trade. These teams make more sense as trade partners IMO.
  17. We’d be giving up WAY too much for a QB that hasn’t played in a year or so. Yes, I’d love to have Watson as our franchise QB but we’re talking multiple first round picks and young talent from our defense that would set us back years from addressing other important needs on the roster. I’m hoping cooler heads will prevail to keep Tepper from pushing this franchise further down the abyss of irrelevance. Besides teams like Seattle, Philly or Tampa have the upper hand in draft capital and or talent that may be more enticing for a QB in his prime IMO.
  18. I’m thinking Philly, Pittsburgh, Seattle or Tampa. Eagles and Seahawks have the draft capital to meet the Texans’ trade demands; Steelers and Bucs have the roster talent. I’d be truly shocked if we were in the running.
  19. If we were a QB and a few players away from making a deep run in the playoffs, I would say ‘yes’. With the current state of the roster, an OL in flux and the uncertain future of the staff, we’d have to give up too much to get him which would really set us back UMO
  20. I could see the Patriots being interested. He would be a nightmare matchup in their offense. The Raiders with Josh McD at the helm could be another possible suitor.
  21. I’ve never understood this either. It’s pretty obvious he’s better closer to LOS as a run stopper, covering TE’s and occasional blitzing. Maybe the emergence of Kenny Robinson will force Rhule and co to wise up.
  22. This one is rather lengthy but you get an idea of his organization and communication. There are other vids out there e.g. pre-game and post game during his time with the Browns and Bears.
