I'm a few inches taller and weigh about the same as Bryce. I'd panic too if a couple 320 pound DTs were about to land on top me. The kid has heart, you have to give him that, BUT that will not get you very far in the NFL if that's your best trait. This isn't "Rudy."

Panthers swag was already sparse in SC, but now? Lol, you wouldn't think the NFL had a footprint here. I see more Falcons stuff around here than Panthers. It's not like Atlanta has been anything lately, but at least they aren't the NFL doormat. Also, the Panthers radio affiliate in the upstate is Rock 101.1. The DJ plugs game day broadcast has now affectionately started dubbing the team the Charlotte Panthers. Totally intentional.

It all boils down to this--the NFL is a League of physicality and physical specimens...Bryce is neither. I really shouldn't be any more complicated than that.

Like Matt Rhule? No thanks. Harbaugh has leveraged himself into the ideal position at Michigan. He's just got to give up any NFL aspirations. I can't think of a coach right now that I would want to have complete control.

It can always get worse, especially when the leader of the organization is clueless in his capacity.

Huddlers a couple of years ago...'Derrick Brown is straight up trash!!!!' 'This is why you don't draft a DT in the top 10!!!' 'His 3-cone shuttle time at the combine sucked!!!' 'Brown is lazy, out there collecting checks!!!' I'm sure there are many more.

No it's not. The main difference is Ickey has the tools, Bryce doesn't. Ickey didn't get drafted based on the S2 test. Also, I said I'll give it another year. After next season if he plays this bad, he may well be a bust.

Man, if I could go back and pull receipts on all the people that wanted to kick Derrick Brown to the curb after a hideous soph.omore campaign. The second year slump is real and Ickey has some darn good excuses given this dumpster fire organization otherwise known as the Charlotte Panthers. <--- Intentional.

Because of last season. One good year, one bad. Recency bias is a real thing. He's on a rookie deal. It would be a very Panther thing to do to flush a young, cheap LT because he's having a bad season on a historically bad team.

Part of the problem....MAJOR part of the problem.

How do you "hide" a LT? Again, I'm am going to wait. Not strong? He's very strong, but I'll give you he's not a dancing bear. Here's another reason for pause, one of the most respected OL coaches in the League is presiding over a train wreck. Did Campen forget how to coach an OL? Bozeman has looked bad this year too and while Moton is still good, is not quite up to his par level of play.

I'm reserving judgement until next season. He's been bad this year, no doubt, but is it him or the circumstances? He was one of the best rookie offensive linemen last season, but the OL was stable and he had veteran QBs then. Now he has a revolving door at LG next to him and a rookie QB with no pocket awareness.

Playing form behind all the time will do that. Bryce might want to put some of that 4th quarter effort into the first half.

To be successful, Bryce NEEDS a perfect roster around him and for him to play game manager. We are YEARS away from being a complete team, so why hang onto a QB who can't flourish in less than an ideal scenario?
